We have finally found a nice bed for K, ordering it online today once she has sent over a invoice. Company is based in Cape Town. Dont think the price is to bad R1200, she said the bed will last until he is 5/6 years of age, which is fine. Attached a pic of the bed.

Lisha on no shame poor Shrey, hope he feels better soon. So sorry to hear about DH Cousin little girl, how terrible. She will be in my thoughts and prayers.

So happy that Moomie is back Hope they catch that hacker!

I currently have a sick baby ... flu got him bad this weekend Very congested and the Demazin ain't helping and he refuses for us to put the nasal drops into his nose or even use the nasal aspirator grrrr. Thankfully the puma balm & camphor bag helps at sleep time. Hope this passes soon but if not it's off to the paed for us tomorrow.

And more bad news. Dh's cousins little girl, about 21/22 months has a kidney problem. Apparently her kidneys are kicking out all proteins. They are still doing tests to investigate what the problem is but initially they were saying kidney infection ... looks a bit worse than infection though but just have to wait for results now. It was so sad to see this active little girl all swollen & listless on Friday & Saturday. The dad did say the swelling had gone down yesterday but that's probably due to the drip that flushed her system out. Everyone is just praying for her to recover now and she's getting the best possible treatment in Durban so hoping for the best.

Nicole glad you guys had such a nice weekend. K sounds adorable and hope the aggression disappears soon.

Leigh that is a busy but very cute cake ... nice idea if the child has so many favourites like Shrey does.

Okay as for what to do with smacking toddler:

they are looking for attention. So any attention is fine with them. Hitting them back means they have your attention. Ann told me to Say no Dylan and to turn my back on him.

If he smacks another child to ignore him and show the other child attention or dog in our case.

Also use the "I" language. I don't like you smacking me etc. Dylan is getting a bit better as a result.

Oh she also said she isn't sure about naughty corner as it may cause them to be humiliated in front of others so their bedroom is better. It shouldnt be seen as punishement but as time out on your own to calm down.

Okay leigh I am so sorry I didn't pop in. It slipped my mind completely. Girly here is a friend of mine and her 1 week old baby had heart surgery on Friday so I have been thinking of them the whole weekend. That and shopping for the trip etc.

Neil got a nice bonus so we are trying to do the last odds and ends around the house. Awning is up. Not the greatest but it works well and then we are putting a wonderful wood burning stove in our dining room. Sadly no place in the lounge but will still be nice. Neil bought a wonderful cast iron one so awesome quality. Then we are doing a lovely built in liquor cupboard too plus the same company that are doing the fireplace are building an outdoor braai. Going to look amazing. We can't afford the cladding yet but will do that in time.

And now for the amazingness of my man. He has always been opposed to jewelry. I know that he would never ever buy me a diamond ring, which bugs me as he will buy me anything else. So we had an awesome night on Saturday night and he had mentioned Shimansky (don't get excited girls). He told me on Friday night that he wanted to buy me something special, but he was clueless and I could go and choose a ring. He gave me a very small budget to work with and off we went. lol. Shame I think he was sad when he saw how expensive rings were but I have a solitaire so didn't want another one and in the end I chose a lovely band that has 4 very very small diamonds. It is beautiful and means the world to me and he said I could wear it on my wedding ring finger as a committement ring.

Okay so as for Dylan what a pain in the arse. Shame he is struggling at night and sleep training is on the cards, but can't do it now as I am leaving so will have to do it when I get back. He is so tired he even cried when I dropped him off.

Hi ladies.

We had a very nice weekend. Went to friends on Saturday and we had such a nice time. Everyone was just saying how good the twins are and they have such nice natures etc. It also helps that the almost 3 year old that was there was the biggest bully and no-one liked her lol. She made my kids look like angels. We left at 8pm when they were dead tired but they gave everyone a show with their dancing. hehehe I have taken some videos on my phone but I've lost the cable so we are trying to get it onto my pc in some or other way!

Thanx girls, I also don't have a problem with it because I also feel that I am his guidance. Our older brother isn't that open about sex (well not with my anyway). I always went to my older male cousin for advice on sex, drugs etc. I do understand why C was a bit upset, this might be TMI for most of you but my brother told me that he...umm...got 'excited' on his gf's hair. And I laughed and said that's happened to us aswell. C says we shouldn't be discussing things like that. But I don't mind because who else is he meant to talk to? His friends are all real teenage boys who just talk about 'getting ass' etc. and he's not like that. He really likes this girl, so it's not about just sex for him. But anyway, I told C that, that's what our relationship is like and he just needs to deal with it.

I have SO much to do this week but I can't do anything until Thursday because I want everything to be fresh. On Thursday I have to meet the event co-ordinator at the dome to see the stand and see if we can get some fridge space for my stuff. Then I have to come back and bake all the cupcakes (36), make the truffle mixture, grill the chicken, make the crostini's, and make the buttercream. Luckily all of that doesn't take TOO long.

I'm trying to think of impressive cupcakes to bake. I think I'm going to do a death by chocolate one with a rich chocolate cake and rich chocolate buttercream with some peanut tumbles on top. And then a vanilla cake with raspberry & vanilla ripple buttercream with fresh raspberries ontop (if I can get fresh raspberries that is!) I hope it looks nice.
