Morning ladies,

Had a terrible night! C woke at 2.30 for milk so i took him back to bed with water and he freaked out, he screamed for an hour hitting and kicking me (yep he's hit the aggressive stage too!) in the end DH got up and shouted at him which of course made it worse because then he could hardly breathe through the crying. eventually by 3.30 i just threw the bottle of milk in his mouth to refrain from smacking his head against the wall at high speed (and no i don't feel guilty about those thoughts this morning LOL) I am lost, all sleep training techniques have failed and now i have a hysterical fighting monster on my hands in the middle of the night. Do you think i should just start giving him his 2.30 milk every night until he gives it up again? he hasn't had milk in the night for oooooo probably a year i think but nothing else worked and i actually feel lost.

Ally- I don't know much about mixed sibling closeness but me and my sis used to sit on my bed at night and i would explain a lot about sex to her so she could do it armed with the knowledge of safe sex (o.k she's 25 and never fell pregnant yet but i do know she doesn't practice safe sex so didn't really work) i don't think you should be denied that bond especially as your mum is not around and everyone thinks it will affect the daughter more but i bet your brother is missing that female bond. He's probably seeing you as a bit of a stand in mum to give good advice. I always say, if kids (although he's not really a kid anymore hey?) ask about sex you should not sweep the questions under the carpet because they will search for their own answers, rather share good important knowledge with him so he can be armed with all the 'right' information.

Nicole- wow, that's a really good price for the cake, obviously living in JHB we're being ripped off LOL but when my mum made my wedding cake it cost R1000 in total for all the ingredients alone but it was huge and full of booze LOL

errrrr can't remember more now......

off to the gynae this morning so will post belly picc this afternoon.

Morning mommies.

Leigh, you charge WAYYYY too little. That same cake would go for AT LEAST R1000 in JHB. I think you should put your prices up by even R100-R200. Then you at least make a bit more profit. Baking cakes is DAMN hard work and you shouldn't sell yourself short!!

I'm so glad Nicole - some people charge ridiculous amounts and just because its a wedding. I've never done a cake over R500 - the 3 layer one I put on last weekend - with the flowers - that was R450.

Thanks Lisha, he suuuure did enjoy having the day/night off.

Thanks Lelani, I hope it does stay quiet, so far so good. Though as you can see...Julz wants to visit....there goes the peace ;) tee hee. Gotcha Julz. Will have to fit some shortbread in tomorrow somewhere ;) Good job I took the "other" butter out tonight.

Just finished my decor for the weekends cakes - am proud of myself because I REALLY just wanted to plak my butt in front of the tv, but this saves me time tomorrow. Have a babyshower cake to do and a Nr 1 cake. (not to forget the shortbread)

Just about to make myself some tea and watch an episode from Season 6 Greys. Is there more seasons after this?

Night all....

Nicole, Aidan is also incredibly aggressive. I'm a bit worried about it. Trying no to shout or hit his hand anymore, maybe that will help.

Girls, I need to ask you something and if you think I'm a complete hillbilly freak then please tell me.
My younger brother and I are VERY close (like you know), and we really talk about anything. He has now started having sex with his gf (against my advice!!!) and we really talk about EVERYTHING regarding sex. E V E R Y T H I N G!!! C has a major prob with this as he says it's not normal for a brother and sister to be THAT comfortable with each other to talk so vividly about stuff, but I've never been shy to talk about sex, I obviously know who I can and can't speak to, but if the other person is open to it, I don't mind. Do you guys think it's wierd that we talk about SO MUCH? And I mean, we really talk about EVERYTHING!!!

it been quiet in here today.

Ladies it feels like my little man has become little bit aggressive, he seems to be loosing his temper alot lately if he doesnt get his own way or if he cant express what he wants to tell me etc, he will just come and smack you, and if you shout/smack back and then proceeds to smack you again!! I read a article on babynet (i think) where around 20 months they do start becoming aggressive due to frustration, but really dont know how to quiet handle it, maybe i should try and implement the naughty corner from tonight as a last option.

Leaving the office at 16:00 so hope everyone has a good nights rest. I dont think I have much hope for goodnights rest, lately its been so crappy!

byyyeee
