Ok gals, I need your help. Mandy has set me up with a lady from Sanlam who needs someone to do food demonstrations at the Women's Show at the end of August. I'm going to be doing food demo's of about 10-15 minutes every hour, half day in a stand with no cooking facilities. Of course this makes it very hard but it's do-able. The lady wants Mass-appeal stuff like how to ice a cake/cupcakes professionally, how to make sushi (I can't do that as I have no idea!!) etc. I have NO IDEAS!!! Please give me ideas. ANY IDEAS! Remember it all has to be done before hand and I can't cook ANYTHING there!! HELLPP!!!!

Hi ladies

I've been reading up all the posts, like Pfairy I just subscribed and read up when I get a chance, what I remember may be another story so my apologies if I fail to reply to some of you lovely ladies.

Anyway I knew I was jinxing myself yesterday, Shrey didn't sleep too well, not even in our bed ... anyway hoping for better tonight.

Nicole sorry your morning didn't start off too well. Glad that K's arm looks better and too cute re mimicking Barney, Shrey does the same. even with Teletubbies lol it's too cute.

Vix lol will try to fit in more posts but not promising ;)

Ally sorry Aidan is being difficult, hopefully this phase passes soon.

Yoza happy 5 months to Buhle and hope Siba is better soon.

Nelria feeling very sorry for you ... hope you all feel better soon ... and wow I'm in awe with Lea potty training herself. We got Shrey a toilet seat on Sunday, he loves to sit on it but has not had a poo or pee in it yet ... we will persevere.

Simone thinking of you. Ouch on Addy's hand, I would have been in tears too ... is it looking better today?

Mandy grrrr men can be so incredibly difficult sometimes. Hope your dh see's the error of his ways and apologises. It must be so difficult not being close to your folks. Family issues happen often with us as well but you just have to say your piece and hope he get's how you feel. Good luck.

So that's me ... back to work and balancing inter-company loan accounts :(

Julz you're too quiet!!! It feels strange lol.

Sorry again to those that I haven't mentioned.

Morning laides. My morning hasnt started of very well....grrrrr!!

Nelria sorry to hear that you are all sick. Ouchies on Lea's fall. Glad she is okay. Hope you all get rid of the nasty bug soon!

Ally you are very blessed to have such an involved hubby with your twins. I dont think I would have the patience to sit next to K's cot for an hour, I would go insane. So big thumbs up to him :)

Mandy sorry about your argument. My DF absolulty HATES my family gatherings. My family always has huge Christmas, Easter and children birthday celebrations and DF hates staying longer than an hour!!!! it drives me crazy!!! I think though its because most of his life its been him, his parents and his grandparents as his uncles, aunts and cousins are scattered all over the place and they never had big family gatherings. Hope you guys will be able to sort out your argument and that in the end he will understand your point of view on how little you see your family.

HAPPY 5 MONTHS TO BUHLE

Simone ouch on Addys fingers, how are they today? Thank goodness her fingers werent broken or anything. Shame Cynthia is really a gem!!

K's arm is looking alot better! Bad bruise though!but at least its not swollen and inflamed anymore.

K is so cute when Barney is on, he does all the actions with him....so sweet to watch.

Going to try upload some pics tomorrow from my cellphone of him.

Yoza- wow 5m already? My how time flies! Sorry you're not getting much sleep at the moment, must be hard with a sick toddler and a baby.

Nelria- So sorry you're all so sick AGAIN! What's going on with your family this winter? Do you think it's because of the creche? We've managed to survive with 1 slight head cold this winter. Cool stuff with Lea on the potty training. I'm very lazy so I never routinely taught C to potty train but it seems to be going so fast but I think it's because he chose when he was ready. I was reading some ridiculous nonsense yesterday about potty training from 4m? What's the point because they still won't be able to pull their own pants down and sit on the potty until at least 18m so that would be 14m of potty training compared to 14w it'll probably take with C. Craziness!

Same thing for the bed, there's no use in moving baby to a big bed just because he hits a certain age, if they're not sleeping well or tell you they. Want the big bed like Mia then great. Why can't people allow their babies to be babies for as long as they want to be? Same story for puree baby food, why must babies only eat solids if they can eat it in the solid form? (O.k I'll stop now but basically just really confused why some people think it's so babd to babyfy a baby?)

Ally- sorry Aidan is giving you guys a hard time! But pleased Abi is being so good, it's amazing how 2 pesonalities can be so different. It's understandable with different aged siblings because the older gets to be the boss and act good for reward etc but when they're both the same age neither has an 'advantage' over the other, they both learn the same things at the same time yet they choose to do them very differently. I think twins are amazing purely because living the same life at athe same time getting the same attention they still 'choose' to be so different. I can see Abi is the independant one, she just does her own thing when we meet up but Aidan, he want's to know that Mommy isn't too far away when they play! Stunning little beings!

Nelly- you just let me know a day I can come for coffee and we'll make a date, I'm pretty open now my orders have finished.

Mandy- sorry about your fighting. Here's me with a 4 bed house I'm trying to fill so family can't come visit and you sit with your 2 bed place LOL I hate when family comes to stay!

Julz & Lisha- The girls are right, you ladies will drive me crazy if you start actually 'working' who will I talk to all day especially when I am supposed to rest on my lorrels!

Mandy- Chris with the trips is actually doing so well thankfully but she is bored stiff on bed rest but as she says, even if it's to the end of her pregnancy anything to keep the babies safe!

Lwasi- I'm pleased I always sound cheery to you LOL But to be honest I'm tired of being down about stuff like finances, no amount of self pity will make anything better so I have decided to just enjoy life for what it can give now and keep dreaming about the future!

Simone- good luck for your tests today! Poor Addy's hand too, I am forever struggling to stop C putting his hand in the hinged side of the door. I only have a hospital plan so I actually expected to pay consultations but Discovery actually cover a certain percentage under prescribed minimum benefits but they declined my application for that facility. Just would've been a bonus that was all.

Nope my gynae doesn't charge more because it's twins, it's still R350 a visit but they will become more frequent towards the end earlier than in a singleton pregnancy. But he is saving us a bomb on not charging for FA or downs scans so I will just grin and bear the costs.

Now who asked when my next appointment is???? Mmm going brain dead now, 20th August I will be 20w. Suddenly I feel so relaxed and not as desperate for scans since we found out the sex, now it's just a case of riding out the next 5m.

O.k it has taken me over an hour to write this reply so I'm sure I've missed tons of posts.

Mandy, so sorry about your argument. Men can be very insensitive sometimes.

Nelria, hope you feel better soon! Shame man! Cute on Lea potty training herself hehe. I'm going to go get potties today (against what I said before) because we jsut want to get the twins aware. I would prefer to go straight onto the toilet though. They both atleast now let us know when they've poo'd so now we just have to work on the pee thing. I'm going to keep the potties by the bath and when we go bath I'll tell them to pie pie in there. The only problem I think is that they are diff sexes. They are going to get confused because the one is sitting and the other is standing.

Yoza, hehe sorry if it sounded like I'm rubbing it in. But I am very blessed. I don't think there are many men out there that would be able to handle twins as well as C does. He's really such an amazing parent and he's MUCH better at it than me so I have to give him the praise he deserves! :) I think if we had one baby I would do nothing, he would do everything lol.
