Helen i hope as i go further that u say Oliver is better. Shame man...i know how terrible the runs are and how sore their bums get. Addy had it was almost two weeks last year.

Lelani u luckily devil..sleep in and cooked supper. U have an awesome family.

Zee we have just had a turnaround in sleeping and i love it. Not sure what changed...ok she goes to bed later...and it seems to be the answer...this week at least...lol

Mandy coincidentally I am on leave from this Thursday and all of the week after. So we can do a meet the Monday or any day..when miss k can. If Sunday...i’ll just check that nothing is happening at church that day. I like pink fig...i didn’t enjoy African skies last time...but it was warmer so i think the flies wouldn’t be so hectic now and the kids would love the animals. So u guys pick.

I find pricing really hard. Some people I say - sure, family price (which = double, heh heh). But people expect a good price and almost for nothing - especially family and good friends sometimes. How must one make a living. And I don't think I'm expensive. I know there are people selling cakes for R400 here in CPT. I'd love to have known how much Mr Muscle would cost at Charleys.

Hi Pfairy (is this the name everyone calls you?). Thank you. Sometimes I feel talented, sometimes I don't. I went in really blindly with the muscle cake, not a clue on how to make his chest, but I don't know, the fingers work the magic. Oh and my cakes aren't 100% perfect, there where the hearts are the icing cracked and I couldn't fix it no matter how hard I tried. So I improvised.
I'll have to get out my mapbook and see where you are, we've been out of the country for 10 years so am still lost sometimes.

Ally, if you ever look for cake ideas - log into www.cakecentral.com. MILLIONS of cakes there. You just type in a search word and it comes up with loads.
You can buy those black platters from some cake shops, have you seen them? I think they're about R13 or so.

today we learned to cut with the scissor. I helped a lot and then she paste it by herself. here is her pic

well, me, xander and mia started today with our 45 weeks around the world. you can follow it on my blog. Today we've made our passports - can't go anywhere without them. (actually it will be like a memory book with photos of all the things they did in all the different countries).

This month's theme for Mia is MY BODY. she loves reading out of the books. when I say LOEBIE, she runs and takes out one of the Loebie books. they give you a activity for each day aswell as a cd with things to print, etc. I made Mia this board and laminated all the cards. this is what we learned this month. (each day takes about 10 - 15 minutes)(all depend on the mood....)

Vix, you must really the most organised person I've met. you must really give classes or write on a blog. I learn so much from you. I actually saw a website last night and I immediately thought of you. don't know if you know the cook-once-a-month concept. two families buy all the ingredients of a month's food together. for 1 day, they cook like hell and then freeze everything. they say it is much cheaper to do it this way. and you've got a month to buy the cheapest ingredients. I am considering doing it next month, as I don't have time in the evenings to cook. now I can just take it out of the freezer, pop it in the oven and enjoy the time with my family.

Leigh, I've never introduce myself. but first I have to say I love your cakes you bake. You are really talented. well, I am mommy (duh?????) of 2 children. my eldest name is Xander and he is now 6 years old and the little one will be 2 in Nov. her name is Mia. I am from Klerksdorp and my English is terrible, so please excuse all the mistakes.... I mostly chat on a weekend.

Simone, congrats on Addy's sleeping through. I think Mia is going through a growth spurt. she now drinks about 2 bottles before 10 Pm. her first bottle at 7 when we put her in bed and at 10 she wakes up for another bottle. but then she sleeps till 6. then she watch barny, Fifi, Lollos or Barby till 6:30.
