Hi ladies

Hope you are all doing well.

We had a tough night with Z, she cried and cried and cried and probably went through three bottles of milk. Don’t know what was up with her, all I know is that I can’t keep my eyes open … Zzzzzzz

Ally, glad you got spoiled and yay on the weight loss.

Hi Leigh, I haven’t spoken to you before, but welcome to the group and hope you had a better night 

Simone, glad the interview went well. Sorry about the fall, I’m very accident prone and really really clumsy, I’ll always find something to stumble over … I think its due to me being as tall as a giraffe … DH just wants to take insurance out on me!

Nayeela, good to hear from you!

Mandy, I also don’t like the co-sleeping but Z wants to come to our bed all the flippen time. I honestly don’t know how to get her out and we can’t sleep with her there. (Ah, yes you are famous, I’ll bring the mag! )

Miss K, hope you can pop in more often, so nice to see your name again!

Yoza, I’m so so sorry about your dad. Thinking of you and your family, big hug!

Helen, hope Oliver’s tummy problems are gone by now, poor baby!

Angie, hope you feel better soon!

Lisha, good luck with the weaning …

Nelria, I’m in awe of you actually making oxtail with a small baby and a toddler. I have to say my food was really crap when I just had Z … I was thinking of that time the other day and recalled perfectly how I watched Finding Nemo the evening when we got home from hospital and how I cried my heart out, I was seriously afraid of Ziani!

Okay, got to go, hope you have a good day, ladies!

Morning mommies. Quickly catching up before the twins wake up.

Simone, glad the interview went well and sorry about the fall. I am Ms. Clumsy so I'm so used to embarrassing myself in public. Once, I was walking past an Ocean Basket with my brother and they have those poles up by the disabled parking but this one was down. I never even saw it. Tripped over it and apparently 'rolled' like 2 metres (so says my brother). He just looked at me, asked "what are you doing?" and waited for me to get up lol. I was MORTIFIED!

About co-sleeping. We do it much more than we want to. I just can't be bothered with letting them scream and risk waking the other one so we do sometimes put them in our bed. But they are usually fine sleeping in their cots. Then Aidan will wake up sometimes at 5/6 coz he gets cold and I'll snuggle with him until 8. I don't mind it really, it's just when they've woken up screaming they are all over the place and Abi especially can't settle in our bed. She's up, then down, then she's by our feet sleeping on our legs, then on our chests. Too much!

Leigh, you'll need to get a rich conditioner for that hair. Drench Moisture does a intensive treatment and I swear it's like butter it's so rich. And I don't think it's too expensive either. For your length hair you'll probably use about a tbsn. Otherwise just buy one of their conditioners and leave it on for long. I usually get in the shower, wash my hair then put conditioner on then leave it on while I wash my face, body, shave etc. So it can really penetrate. You could also put conditioner in your hair and then wrap your hair in clingfilm. Leave it on for like 2-3 hours and then rinse. Highlights take all the protein out of your hair coz of the bleaching, and protein means moisture. So you need to continuously pump moisture back in there. That's the reason I stay away from highlights mostly because it also just dries my hair out too much.

So my shopping list for the lodge is done, I cannot believe the amount of stuff I need to go buy. And my dad doesn't want me to use the cheaper meat place until we know their quality so I have to go to our butcher. I'll just phone ahead though because from them alone I need 11 Lamb Shanks, 10 Sirloin Steaks, 12 Lamb chops, 2x Big boerewors packs, 2kg biltong and 2kg dry wors. (the reason there's so much meat is coz there's 10 of us going over the weekend.
And then for the dry goods and cold drinks, my goodness, I need to get 12x2l cokes. I'll go to Makro for that and the juice though, will be much cheaper. So lots of driving around for me over the next few days.

Simone, oh no. 4 stairs. Come to think about it I used to do things like that, its been a while, maybe my lack of memory took over my clumsyness, not that I'm calling you clumsy of course.
Hey, know what, Discovery Vitality put R250 into my bank today, how many boxes of salticrax do you think I can buy with that ;)
Actually maybe it'll buy the appointment with the doc for Erins ear.
Which I have to say, she doesn't rub it or anything, she doesn't say its sore, and she's right as rain in the day. She does run like a 3 legged Jake the Peg though...hmmmm will have to put some thought into that.
So glad your interview went ok. Interviews either leave you with that DUNNO feeling or it feels ok. Holding thumbs and toes (I can cos I've just showered and they're all thawed).

Feeling a little fragile from broken sleep. Hoping tonight might be better, so far so good but its only 10h15. DH didn't go to work tonight has he has a headcold (manflu). I can't think how awful it must be to go out now in this wet and cold. Means I have man in house tonight :) Just not a well one....

Right, about to put brush through my matted hair....birdnest comes to mind - was that you Simone who said that. Anybody got any ideas? Recently went for Highlights (never again, hate them) and since using my normal shampoo I can't get my brush through my hair.....ok, I know this forum is about kids but we've also got problems eh?

Night night all :)

Helen I forgot to say your scan made me so broody A REAL LITTLE BABY. I really hope Oliver is on the mend. I dont think that poor bum can take much more.

Nayeela Addison would also put you off co-sleeping.lol. I am quite happy with her being in her own bed even if in our room for now until I get her used to the bed.

Julz/Nayeela...touch wood Addy has NEVER had a cough. It sounds so sore when i hear little kids so i’m very happy she’s never suffered with a cough. Hope it stays that way forever.

Angie are u feeling better???

Nayeela and Ally...you are blessed to have good fathers.

Vix Addy is the same...sleep horizontally...but shame poor Gerard tries to absord most of the space loss, but I am too balancing on the edge on occasion.

Addison is falling asleep nicely on her bed. Tonight i told G to lie on our bed and pretend to sleep and I was next to her on her bed and she was asleep in 5 minutes.

Lisha Vix is actually onto something. If there is no milk he would have no choice? My SIL’s lg was two last month and she is still bf. SIL is gonna wean from Dec. Man it seems so hard. In church this child screams: Mama titi now. She even grabs it herself. I cant imagine how emotional it must be though.

Lol Leigh...you find a way to talk about salticrax in every sentence hey???LMAO.

Miss k that was an impressive post...lol.

Leigh....electric blanket would be lovely.

Ok so interview went well...it was very comfortable, but i'm concerned that my lack of experience in commerce will hurt me as usual. Its difficult to answer a question in a field u dont work in...and they know u never have, so i tried to show from an auditing perspective how my brain would work. It was fine...conversation flowed, I was confident...so we'll see.

Then...I fell down four stairs. Oh my word...how embarrassing. I scraped my foot and knee. So the chick says they got in on camera and then says she's joking so i say yeh right....tomorrow they'll be playing it in slow mo lunch time for everyone to laugh at me.lol.

Leigh- I think if the girls knew who the Tweenies were they would kill me for the twins nickname LOL

Julz- I defo miss central heating! I don't mind winter in England because you can get up to a nice warm house. If I ever design my own home I will have gas plummed throughout!

I hope you have a better night tonight.

MissK- Hi, thanks for joining us again, wow you really did some serious catching up! I think we'll be surprised by the 16w belly pics, you'll see just how much bigger I am than I was with C, although I am less chubby because I weigh ed less to begin with this time.

Yoza- I hope you Dad has improved a bit by this evening. Xxxx

Mmm now I can remember nothing....

Simone- I hope the interview went well!

Leigh- my folks bought us an electric blanket for christmas and wow it has changed my life. I used to put hot water bottles in the bed but even still I hated getting into bed, now I can'tr wait to

I put it on for about an hour before bed and then turn it off when I get in but if I have to get up in the night to see to C I strick it back on so that I can go back to a toastie bed. I can't sleep with it on though, I just get too hot and then I get sick.

Helen you just asked the question that is in my mind... when do you gals who co -sleep do the deed?? We have NEVER brought cam into our bed.. even if we TRY in the mornings when we get him in the aim of just snuggling him awake and allowing us time to wake, he WILL NOT lie still for one minute - i think he thinks beds are for jumping on - SERIOUSLY!! Cameron LOVED going through our photo album tonight - i think it actually helped him to say goodnight to daddy who only sees him on week ends - dh leaves at 06h30 and gets home 19h30 and cam is always asleep so he kissed the photos of his daddy waved and said NIGHT!! too cute!

Yoza hope your dad is okay?
Vix i was also wondering if you have managed to speak to your mom?
Helen - it was so smokey around your suburb on the way home tonight - I wonder where there was a fire..

Julz - hope you have a better night

SIMONEEEEE HOW WAS THE JOB INTERVIEWWWW?????

Leigh - hope you hear soon about DH job!!

Nayeela -HELLLOOOOOO!

Nelria - hope your domestic BLISS remains BLISS!! its impressive - i wont be letting my hubby read your posts incase he thinks its easy having two and that he might even get OXTAIL!!! NOOOOTTTTTT

okay , nighty night
