K did start waking up when she was coughing. she used to cough so much to the point of waking up and then had to settle her back to sleep and that happened even though she slept with us. eventually antibiotics was needed.

So that might well be the problem Julz.

Lisha - I looooovvvve co-sleeping and am so happy that my DH is fully on board with that idea as well. I think in the Indian and Asian communities, lots of mommies co-sleep. In Mauritius co-sleeping is the norm and in the beginning when I had K in the cot, got quite a few frowns from the aunties Funny how things differ from country to country Lol!
I love feeling K so close to me in the night or just before she sleeps, she loves climbing on top of me
Think I'll be sad when she does go to her own room one day Lol!

I don't mind the odd night where Dylan needs comfort, but he is in his own room and I prefer it plus our room isn't big enough for another bed. He has been coughing a bit so maybe that.

Leigh Erin may have had fluid on her ear for a few days prior. Hope her ear drum is okay.

Sounds like you've tried quiet a few things with Erins sleeping ... hope she settles soon.

Nayeela we are also happily co-sleeping at the moment but will only move him out once he is completely off the breast.

I think I do miss central heating, I don't know. Is it easier to get out of bed when you're warm - probably a stupid question. All I remember is that it wasn't this cold last year. So its an adjustment for me. Plus Erin was waking up at 6h30 in the mornings and I was quite used to it. We have lovely lie ins now especially if the other two are asleep.

I've done the panado thing, put her back on the bottle in case her tummy wasn't full enough, I've put a heater in her room. I've got a blanket under her as well as on top of her as well as a duvet. I've made sure her nappy is as dry as dry as dry when she goes down. The only thing we've accomplished is that she at least sleeps till 12...but its after that she wakes. I can't leave her to cry otherwise she'll wake up the other two. Though Charlene did tell me this morning "I heard you tell Erin DUDUS ERIN". Yes I did. And THAT worked. I fully respect that kids cosleeping works for people. But I'm just a space loving kinda gal. And I love my bed for me and DH (when he's there). I know its not a bed thing for her. The only other thing that I had was that her ear was gunky yesterday but she's been doing this now for over a week.....

Is Wednesday over yet??? Simone you must just be waiting for 4pm. We'll sit in agony together and eat Salticrax. (Sorry did I say that word again). It could be worse...it could be cake or biscuits. I'll have to get a package up to you some day, then you'll be craving ha ha ha at the birdnest. I have a picture in my head now....no comment

Julz - Do you have dylan's bed in another room? maybe try what Simone does i.e. connect his bed to your bed and see if that works. then at least he has his own space but he is still close to you.

Thats my next move now. I am looking at getting a bed for Kamilah that can be joined to our bed and she can still be close to me in that way. DH said no number 2 for us until K is in her own bed so I better start working on that Lol! Just kidding though. Number 2 will still be a while.

Simone - You are right about doing anything that gets us through the night. We also do just that. Whatever keeps teh family happy and sane is good enough

Leigh I couldn't figure out why I was craving salticrax the last few days! Lol.... Now i realise its cause of your salticrax jokes!!

My hair looks like a bird's nest today!!!!!! Luckily its a man...so just doing 'sleek business bun'...lol...and hopefully he won't be on to me!

Leigh so Frans and I wait for news together after today!!!!!! I tell u...if I get the job u'll be smelling my steak and prawns all the way from PE!

Nayeela we have glorified king size with single next to ours.lol. So we are doing a form of co-sleeping! Whatever gets us thru the night. Addy sleeps on her bed until about 3am. And surely this won't be happening forever!

Leigh exactly what I have not done. At 2 in the morning I put him in our bed. I just can't be asked to sit in the cold and have him scream for an hour. So my fault too.

Getting a bed next week so will see how that pans out. I am going to put a cot duvet under him too. He has a heater ,but it is so cold in ct that it is pointless. dont you miss central heating leigh?

Hi Nayeela. Dylan does sleep well with us for an hour or two (from about 2 if he wakes completely) and goes back to sleep, but then starts his antics and I honestly get kicked full on.

Guess it is my fault for allowing him in our bed.
