Congrats Cols my friend!!! So so so happy for you. Praying all is well. When do you go to the doc for first check etc?

Wow John is having tantrum after tantrum after tantrum. Its crazy sometimes but I'm getting better at dealing with it. My poor little dude. He gets sooooo frustrated. Tonight was so hectic but Kerry I remembered what you said about Kaelyn loving angry birds so I put the iPad in front of him and lo and behold, he loves it! He played and played and I was able to cut his finger nails and give him his allergex and nosespray (normally world war 3). Super impressed!

We're going away this weekend with some friends to a lovely big house in the Magaliesburg. Can't wait xx And the best part is John is coming with us. The last 2 weekends where we went away (Sept and Oct) was without him and while it was good to spend time alone with Si I missed John like mad and I feel bad since we are so busy during the week there is not alot of time once we get home from school until bed time. We're the only couple going with a child (5 couples going) but they all love John to pieces so it should be fine.

Christmas pressies, probably some more cars (his best) and maybe Madagascar 2 or Happy Feet dvd. He is loving Madagascar and Toy Story 1 at the moment although Cars is still his favourite. We also still need to buy him a bed. He is still in his cot, its a big one so he is not unhappy but he is ready for a bed.

He started kindermusik at school and apparently he is thriving, the teacher is super impressed. And his Aunty (my sister-in-law) has promised to pay for his lessons for the whole of next year, in lieu of toys/presents for birthday and christmas! We are so stoked. Especially as his school is going up more than 10% plus I want to pay over 11 months instead of 12 so its going up an extra R600 a month. I really love his school and am very happy with his progress but oh my soul it costs a lot of money :(

I wish I could chat for longer but I need to go. Don't get to post much on moomies (its not easy on my phone, I wonder if there is an iPhone app for Moomies?) but I always read everyone's posts and catch up alot of facebook.

Joybaby, Rei looks super cute and its so good to hear how well she is eating and growing etc. Sorry about the reflux/colic. Hope it eases soon and she starts sleeping longer periods at night. At least you're not getting up in the middle of winter ;)

Bye ladies, chat soon I hope xx

okay perhaps that came out wrong... cutting up receiving blankets - or felt and gluing on velcro for the tabs... will attach the pattern

The leap pad is for age 3-6, but k is amazing with that sort of thing... though she doesn't understand what she is doing she delights in moving things around on the screen or walking a man accross the computer screen on daddy's computer... its flippin amazing. but there i must still add that k seems more like a 3 year old... so when compared to the other two year olds at creche i can see its not really normal to be that smart, but you stimulate whatever it is she needs stuimulated huh?

Don't know about the leap frog story book thing, it seems soooo pricey for what you are getting, but i do have a book i got at exclusives last christmas that has little buttons on the side and whenever you read past a little picture youre supposed to push the button to make the sound for that picture... its too cute.... but i don't get to read the book coz k prefers just pushing the buttons... ah well maybe when she is older?

The doll will go down a treat i am sure, k has a pram a change station thingie and a cot for hers (though it sleeps in her bed more often than not), but i am also thinking of the actual baby born doll... at the moment she plays with a cheapie my unle and aunt got her for her first birthday. And when she goes on the bike it sits between her and the handlebars (with an elastic)...

Not too much a fan of the rude shoving people, but i also love just looking at the stuff they bring out every christmass!!

Making nappies!? How clever Kerry!!

I looked at the Leap Pad, but I think its still too advanced for Em. She doesn't get to play with our phones or anything, so the poor child will probably be a bit technologically challenged - hehe :) My sisters kids both have leap pads and Em sometimes picks it up, but she really doesn't know what to do with it. I think it is meant for age 5 though, so she's probably still ok  I was looking at the Leap Frog Tag Reader?? That seems to be from age 3, but not sure if she'd be interested.

I plan to get her a Baby Born doll (the one that drinks water and wets herself), comes with a potty. Then I need to get her a new dolls pram and have asked my SIL to get her the car seat that comes with the baby born. Can be strapped into the car and also to the front of a little bike :) I also want to get her some kitchen goodies - toaster, kettle, microwave, and a little play tent.

Her daddy is getting her a trike and maybe also a jungle gym (bonus dependent)

I am probably 1 of the very few people who loves the craziness in the stores at xmas time :)

We were thinking of one of those leap frog leap pad thingies... coz K absolutely loves shooting angry birds on daddys phone.... and maybe another boogie beebies DVD coz she likes dancing with the one we got her... but mom and dad have really over heard the tunes on it.

oh and i am making her a few nappies for her doll... coz thats top on her list of toys at the moment. :-)
