Nikki_P great to hear Peyton is doing so well, i am also worried Fayaz might refuse BF altogether once i introduce formular this happened with my first, i just bought my first can of formular today i go back to work in a weeks time eeeek!

Oh i bought S26 i used the same for my LG i honestly dont know what the difference is with all these formular.

Girly count me in for the get together on Wednesday i am looking forward to it.

Hello moms

Wow, last night John slept through from 20h30 to 5h30 this morning! He has had a couple of nights similar to this but he always would wake up about 3 or 4 times during the night and I'd need to pop his dummy back in. So this time is the first time that I did not need to get out of bed until 5h30. I feel so rested. I hope he carries on with this...

The last few days I have been feeding him every 4 hours and the last 3 days he has only had 4 feeds a day instead of 5 (he seems to have dropped the 10pm feed). I have increased each feed accordingly and he is finishing them nicely - he has a mix of breastmilk and formula - I breastfeed him his early morning feed, then he gets a bottle of expressed breastmilk at mid morning and lunchtime, then a bottle of formula for dinner.
So we seem to be establishing a routine nicely and I am feeling like I have more time on my hands again. Of course I don't want to speak too soon as each week things change with him but this does feel more stable than before.

He is sleeping now and has been for an hour and a half already. (It is 13h30). It is raining quite heavily outside so I think the rain lulls him and has calmed him nicely.

Aaaargh I am struggling so much to lose the last 10 kgs I gained in pregnancy I still have a larger appetite than pre-pregnancy, probably cos of breastfeeding/ expressing and a bad sugar habit. Also I went back to gym and swiped my card but have not had a chance to go back again to actually do a class or even 20 minutes on the bike. When hubby gets home its dinner time and bath time and bed time and then dinner time for us and then I'm too exhausted to go to gym. I think I must let hubby do the bedtime routine a couple times a week then I can go to gym over that time.
Anyone else struggling with weight loss?

Nikki - lovely to hear about Peyton's developments since she is the firstborn here (I think?)

How cool that she did the turn around - that is awesome. I was wondering at what age that would happen. Emily lifts her head up very high when she is on her tummy and moves around quite a bit but not showing any signs of being able to turn over on her own anytime soon. Did you do anything special to encourage this??

Emily also drinks alot less than she is supposed to, but doc says as long as she continues to gain weight so nicely, there is no cause for concern. When are you plannig to start Peyton on solids?

Reading all your posts makes me smile because everything sounds so familiar

My Peyton turned 17 weeks yesterday and rolled over for the first time from her tummy to her back. I was so excited I shouted for her father to come but he missed it. And of course she didn't do it again when he nicely asked her

With regards to sleeping through the night, she did it twice when she turned 3 months but has gone back to waking for 23h00 and 2h00 feeds.

Started giving her more formula feeds at 3 months to get her prepared for when I return to work and kept the morning and evening breastfeeds but she eventually went off breast completely. Very sad as I miss that closeness with her, bottlefeeding just not the same

She feeds every 3 hours but only drinks 100ml to 125ml per feed which is half of what she should be having. The nurse said she will be a petite baby as I'm short. At though she drinks a lot less around 50 - 70ml.

I use NAN Prostart 1.

We have her 4month paed check up this week, waiting to hear about her progress, etc.

She can lift her upper body when on her tummy and lifts her upper body when assisted into a sitting position. She brings her hands together and plays with them. Oh and she drools like mad! Loves chewing her fists or anything she comes in contact with. She can hold a rattle and swats at hanging toys on her play gym

She loves to laugh out and finds our two cocker spaniels very amusing. The only time she cries is before a nap if she has been up for more than 2 hours. I try to limit her awake time to 1 to 1.5 hours and then start with quiet time. Still a battle to get her down in her cot during the day. She is a very light sleeper. She is still sleeping in her camp cot in our room, want to move her to her room once she starts sleeping through the night.

She doesn't do well with strangers and bursts into tears if they carry her but will smile at them if I'm carrying her.
Her personality is emerging - very cheerful and very fiesty!

And she loves music! If she is crying, all I have to do is turn on the music and dance with her and she settles.

Return to work in Feb and looking forward to it and dreading leaving her behind at the same time.

Can't believe the weekend is over back to work for daddy tomorrow. Just me and Emily again.

Girly, hope that Kaylee is ok - let us know how it's going. Yip, I am in for the get together on Wednesday.

Mommy2J- Emily also sleeps on her tummy with the angel care. She just refuses to sleep any other way. I told the paed and he did raise his eyebrows a bit but he says its better for her than sleeping on her back because she has reflux. He recommends that I let her sleep on her side with a wedge, but I tried that and no-one gets any sleep!!!

emily is getting so big and really into entertaining herself now. She has also started laughing out loud and it is soooooo cute

Excuse my terrible spelling and grammer, i am running around while trying to post DH is at work and both girls playing up at once!

just want some sleeeeep so bad!
