Hi All and welcome to the new mums

My gynae appointment yesterday went very well. Dr is happy with me and Peyton's progress. She is now 1.5Kg at 29W and I have still only gained 1kg - not sure how that works if baby is gaining weight?

He said she is very active and there is alot of water around her which is good. She has also moved from breech as she was the last time i saw him into the perfect position for normal delivery, that is if she doesnt move again!

That is also is the reason i was in such pain a few weeks ago, she was changing positions.

Her heartbeat is strong and my BP is nice and low.

Unfortunately we did not get to really see her properly as she was facing the placenta, but i was just glad to hear everything was normal and she was healthy.

I am so looking forward to this weekend - it's the first full weekend in that i am not working this saturday, pure bliss!

I would also love to meet up with everyone on 5th June and hopefully wont be working

I'm in CT-Table view, my Gynae is Dr, Elmarie Basson at Christian Barnard Hosp will also deliver there.Just booked my bed on Tuesday & my next appntm will be the 21/06, will do the 4DSCAN on that day.
So glad that now my bump is actually showing, don't have any stretch marks for now besides the swelling face.Would like to go back to the gym but i feel so lazy this month and the fact that i need to buy new comfortable gym clothes.

Welcome to the new mommies, this is the best forum to be on, such wonderful ladies here, even tho i'm not on here that often as I want to be!

I'm off today coz DH is here yay ;n he got sucha shock to see how much bigger i've gone 'n went for my check up, i'm now 28weeks 'n 2days, lil p's weighing about 1.2kg's, gynae very happy with my progess...went got a scan of her face, aaaaawh, once i've scanned this in will send thru! Oh 'n later today, I have a 4D scan, ooooh cant wait Cant believe just over 2months still to go before she's here!
We did a mini tour of Kingsbury hospital, see they busy renovating the nursery area but I godda now call Discovery about the rates etc.
Even gave the gynae that form for the PMB benefit thingy so hopefully i cant get that process going soon.

I'm planning on taking maternity leave mid July & gynae says because of my frame, i'll most likely have a caeser but there's still time to discuss etc. Around 39 weeks, that will be about 1st week of August, my bday week too

My family is taking about baby showers etc. but i dunno when tho, that's for them to decide!

About the get-together, June the 5th sounds cool, the morning so we have the rest of the day free? or whatever u decided. I'm game...just keep me posted! My vote is Nino's

I hope to post my recent pics soon...so glad to be off today!

Great news doc says Jude doesnt have to be circumcised(sp) he says that the skin grows back and he has a long foreskin so its perfect.

Cant believe im going into 27 weeks, time has really flown by, My baby girl is so active, Jude was very lazy and only got busy towards the end.

Beginning to think I was very wise to follow the midwive route, sure I miss out on a lot of scans, but at only R150 a visit...
Only saw gynea for 2 assesments, and he charged medical aid rates.

As for me, had a bit of flu this last week, and still not really over it, however, I can live with the last bit of blocked nose. So unfair, DH had it too, got over it in 2 days

In third trimester now (YIPEE), and still feeling great (flu aside). No nausea, heartburn, pains, cramps, etc.
Just get uncomfortable when lying down - pillows just aren't enough anymore - and back gets stiff if I sit still for too long.

Will try and take a new pic this weekend, so will post monday.
