4D scan is at 3:30 this afternoon - can't wait. Hope Emily is going to give us a few nice pics MIL and DH is going with me. I decided to take MIL with so that she does not feel left out and this way I can tell her without feeling toooooo guilty, that only DH and my sister can be at the hospital when Emily is born and everyone else can come later. I got special permission from Panorama Hospital to have my sister with me as well - YEAH!!!! She can't have children of her own and we are very close, so it means alot to me that she can witness the birth.

Ok Girly, let's set the date for 6 June then. How about 11AM??? We can meet at Nino's as suggested by mina moo???? Who is in??

I tried to post this morning - and had the whole msg typed out and then got a msg that our bandwidth had run out

Is your pain nerve or bone? Mine feels like the bone is stretching. Thankfully havent had too much sciatica issues.
But I heard that a chiropractor could help especially if its bad enough that you have to stay home.

Robyn did you go to N1 or Kuils River one? We were at Kuils River cos its closer to home.

Wow already! I cant believe how quickly time is going.
I start Antenatal classes on 23rd June. I'll be 31 weeks then.

So about our get together? Maybe we can make it for 6th June? That's a Sunday. Late morning / early afternoon would suit me best on a Sunday. What do you think?

Hey ladies

Not gonna chat much today. Girly, the pelvic pain is excruciating, so bad that I could not get out of bed today and stayed home!!!!

I got a 4d scan quite quick at Panorama, they seem quite open. I called last Monday and booked for tomorrow. Can't wait to see her tomorrow. YEAH!!!!

Girly, I was there at about 13h30 on Sat - small world!

It takes 2 weeks to make, so we'll also pick it up first weekend in June (5th is my 30th - am going to be very busy cooking etc so will prob pick it up on the 6th)

So much happening in the next 2 weeks!!
6 days til I see baba again, 9 days til our first ante-natal classes and 11 days til my b'day, so lot's to look forward to

The chest of drawers I bought they told me telephonically last week was R1100 and when we got there it was still the same price.
They have some really nice compactums too - our chest of drawers is similar to one of the compactums, except its 4 drawers and not 3, but the same one where no door knobs, just the section to pull from the middle.

When were you there? Maybe we walked right past each other! We were there around 12pm on Sat.
They have the nicest beds for kiddies too.
Unless they gave you a written quote, saying it was guaranteed they dont have to honour the quoted price unfortunately.
You say you ordered it - when would you pick it up? They had stock of the chest of drawers so we'll go get it the first weekend in June.

I keep forgetting to ask my gynae about it, but he hasn't said anything either.
Usually the 12 week and 20 week scan dates are pretty accurate, but remember baba also goes through growth spurts. Dont stress too much. Maybe at your next scan you should ask gynae for an idea of when you should do your maternity leave in case you book it for mid july, and baby comes 2 weeks later.

Ann thanks. ya I've heard lots of good stuff about them. I am booking my bed with Panorama so I get a free scan with them luckily.
As for the clothes - I'm finding its towards the end that I actually need proper maternity clothes. Cos especially normal jerseys, pull up on my tummy, and dont cover it entirely!
So since its pay day, I might just resort to some Mr Price maternity stuff even though the stuff is not nice. Maybe I'll wait till next pay day when they have warmer clothes in cos I find their stuff still very light.

Judes mom I've been checking my breasts out to see if any changes. The little dots around the areola are fuller and have little white heads. But no colostrum just yet. Cant imagine what they'll look at at birth though wowee!

Kaylee (Little K according to Blessed 2 be) likes the camera at the scans. She always turns to face it, so we always get pics that show her skeleton, eye sockets etc.
Still havent seen a profile photo of her, so hoping she'll cooperate at the 4d scan for us

Hey Girly

We finally moved the bed into our room on Fri morning and then everything else into the rooms on Sat so at least I am sleeping better now!

We ordered the compactum from Furnicraft over the weekend so it should arrive next Sun (the one with the extra towel rail & decorations) but I was furious with them! DH & I went to have a look so many times to make sure of the measurements, colour, style etc and when we went on Sat to order it, they said the price had gone up R200 "because it is a fast seller"!! Can you believe it??!!
And when we asked them to honour the price they gave us or even meet us halfway, they just refused.
So I ended up storming out, staunchly refusing to buy from them ever! But of course, when we got home and chatted about it, they were still the cheapest and the nicest one, and it was only R200 more - but, it's all about the principle of the matter and I refused to go back there with those people (so DH went on Sun to order it and thankfully there were different sales people there!
We also went to the Treehosue factory at 13h00, but they were closed, even though I was told they were open til 2 on Sat - Not a good start to the weekend!
