Hi Ladies
Am having quite abit of pain in my tum today - right below and to the right of the belly button - hoping it's just growing pains!

My friend nominated herself to do my shower as soon as I told her I was preggers!
You could ask your best friend / sister / Mom etc if they could help you with your shower (at least that way you are not asking them to do the whole thing)
My mom & MIL are doing the snacks / drinks and my friend is doing the decor / games etc and we are having it at my mom's house (same as my batchelorette)
But I'm such a control-freak that I went to a few shops to see about decorations and have already done the invites

Charn, would love to be part of the get together by 5 June is my bday (the big 3-oh!) so that weekend is out

Shame - last night I really thought DH would see/feel her move but once again she stopped dead as soon as he came near me
Now I'm not going to say anything until 7months!

My belly has really popped now so am def looking 6months preggie but I'm so proud of my bump so am wearing tight tops to show it off!

Ladies, how about Saturday 5 June or Sunday 6 June. If Saturday, we can either meet early morning, so people still have the rest of the day for shopping or whatever or late afternoon after shopping OR we can meet Sunday late afternoon (3 or 4ish)??? Let me know what you prefer and who is in.

Nikki - the foam stick on's you were looking for? Not sure what you wanted, but they have character ones at Baby City in Sable Square - they have Minnie/Mickey Mouse, Nemo, Disney Princess, Winnie the Pooh and maybe 1 or 2 others that I can't think of right now.

Hope everyone is doing well and not too many baby blues going around??

I had a nice weekend, but was exhausted last night!! Went to Babycity in Sable Square and they have a nice special on some of there Carriwell Products. I got feeding tops for R100 each (they have them in white, orange and black), but only the orange are on special. I bought them for in hospital so I don't have to wear pyjama's - they have them in short and long sleeve. Also got some maternity panties and feeding bra's - all marked down. Not sure if they have them at all Baby City's. It was the first time I went to this one and I must say it is quite a nice baby city.

Robym - have fun getting the rest of the nursery done. DH put up the shelves last night, so now it really is just the feeding chair thats missing - then my room is done - YEAH!!

Girly, you don't need to book first, you can do the tour at anytime. The booking part was quick, took about 10 minutes, but probably depends on how busy they are. I am going for my 4d scan next Wednesday - hope little one is lying in a nice position.

Baby Showers - my sister is planning mine. Just sort of a given (I did her wedding shower and both her baby showers, she did my wedding shower). I know when it is and I gave her the guest list. She has booked one of the sectioned off areas at the Dros in Willowbridge for it - that way, no-one has to clean up afterwards and the men can meet in the bar if they want as well and have their own get together. Also, there is a nice play area for the children and we are arranging babysitters for them

Afternoon Moms,

Sorry i have been so quiet but we have moved offices, finally settled in and im loving it.
Baby moves alot sometimes i find myself talking to her telling her to calm down. She loves kicking for her daddy and bro and Little Jude wants to know if shes playing soccer in my tummy too cute. He asked me last night to please eat his ball and then the baby can play with it in my tummy. TOOO CUTE.

Well i finally did some shopping this weekend i must says the ackermans in N1 City has so much cute things spent over a R1000 but got alot of things. So im very happy. Going to start re-arranging Judes room in a couple of weeks time to make space for another chest of draws for baby.

Going to take Jude to the Doctor on Thursday to have his skin on his winky checked. and i only see gynea 1 June.

Otherwise ladies my appetite has flippen increased, im flippen scared to step onto a scale. The last time i weighed 63 so ive picked up 6KG's ladies please comment.....(LOL)

Charnenay I'll be going to Panorama too. I havent booked my bed yet. They said to fax it through, and then come in for final booking. I figured I'd just do the walk through at the same time? Or must I first book, and come back another day for the tour?
How long did it take to do the actual booking part?
Have a lot of things to do this coming Saturday already!

Thanks for the info re the getting up. I dont know how i'll manage if it gets worse. I struggle to stand up from a lying down / sitting position.

Ok another question re aches and pains - my right ankle keeps cramping - like a sprain feeling when i walk on it. happens at least once every time I walk somewhere, no matter what shoes I'm wearing or where I am.
Any suggestions to make it better?
I dont have money for a chiro / physio now.

Shew but I am exhausted today! I really hope the tiredness isnt coming back, as I can literally not keep my eyes open at the moment

Do you girls have any involvement with your baby showers? Did you nominate someone or is someone just taking it on?

Hello Ladies
Hope you all had a lovely weekend
Mine was really busy - spent Sat with friends and went to BabyCity with the lady who is doing my shower, just looking at everything and getting her advice (she has a 1yr girl) which was great (as I know nuh-theeeng)
Then Sun was spent painting the nursery with DH (he did the ceiling & top half of the walls while I did the bottom half and skirting) All I can say is owwww, sore back and sore knees
But at least we are putting up the border this evening and then having the carpets steam-cleaned tomorrow so we can finally put up the cot etc (only then will this actually be real for me!)
Can't wait!!!!
