Sonay, can't believe you got shouted at, John only weighed 10.2 at his clinic check-up and nurse didn't say anything. Well he certainly doesn't look too skinny, I thought he would have weighed more than that.
All of a sudden he has had a growth spurt and his legs are so long. I think he is getting ready to walk

Robyn, I heard about the shark attack, sounds like the guy has lost both his legs? I used to holiday in Fish Hoek every year when I was a child, my great aunt lives there. I always used to swim in the sea there but never go too far out. How far out was this guy?

Sorry for being MIA. Seems like the days and weeks are just a blur. How are you all doing?

Sher, your LG is so pretty. All those curls! And the dress, too cute. As for the separation anxiety, S is ok so far, but come night time, she only wants mama We are in the same boat about shopping for a wedding. I have a week left to get something for madam and myself, the men are luckily sorted.

Cols, looking at E’s menu, he eats quite a bit. S eats much less but I’ve learned now not to stress and to look at what she eats over the week. She is such a fuzzy eater. Do not like potatoes, jelly, bananas. All “soft” things she just squashes and throw away.

Oh, don’t let me start on the tantrums! But I’m glad to see it’s not just something in our household. I hope it doesn’t get worse when they reach 2.

Robyn, I agree with the other ladies, she looks all grown up. OMW, what happened to our babies? How are you feeling now? Seems like this year’s flu don’t let go easily. Take it easy, hey.

Flowergirl, you have a clever little girl there. It’s so cute that she associated the color with a place. But, I had to giggle at the smack. They are sooo cheeky.

BabyKsmom, how did the interview go? Good luck with the school hunting as well. We need to do that soon.

Hope I covered all the personals. This is what happened when you stay away for such a long time

On our side things are going well. S has cut 5 toothies in just over a month, the most recent 2 today (Finally!) And it seems like her teething “bling” is working, since we didn’t even realize she was teething. At her 1yr clinic visit I was shouted at because she is not picking up enough weight (9.8kg, only picked up 0.5 in 3mnths) but at the same time I’m told to only give her 500ml milk in 24hrs. Her eating has picked up a bit since her birthday, so I hope she will also pick up some weight. She started to walk, ok, more like 4 or 5 steps at a time. But she is getting so impatient to get to her destination and crawling at this stage is much faster. As for talking, she’s imitating everything we say. Love the phone. It’s too cute to watch her having a full “conversation” with her “oma”. I’ve moved her to a forward facing carseat and she LOVES it. No more crying to stay in the seat.

Did anyone else try the iron supplements and could you see an improvement in sleep? (I’m desperate here)
The dreaded topic: ear piercing. Anyone done it recently and how did the little ones take it?
