Robyn - I am on the dog, house dinner and baby duty this week too. DH is working the evening shift, so he is working fron 14:00 to 22:00 and gets home after K and i are fast asleep. In fact i didn't even hear him come home last night. and since he is writing exams soon i am taking little K to creche in the morning while DH is still sleeping... so its a serious case of tag. ah well its just one week a month.

Baby K - Will hold thumbs for you on the Job front, but sending John to your mom twice a week also isn't such a bad idea.

I just have to share... on friday our department was given the afternoon off as a reward for making and exceeding out profit budget for the companys half-year end. and after a few colleagues and i we went to china city for some shopping. I saw this orange cow for Kaelyn and had to get it... and at only R55 it was a good deal i think... Friday afternoon she was at DH's moms place so on saturday morning i put in the lounge for her to play on....

Hey ladies

Well I've just heard that it came down to me and another candidate and they gave the other candidate first option but she hasn't decided yet. Oh well. At least I know. And maybe she won't take the position. Maybe she asked for less money. Its ok.
In the meantime I've applied for a couple of other positions so who knows. I've heard back from one - it has already been filled. I was taking a chance because the ad was almost a month old but you don't know unless you try.
My other option is for John to go to my mom's twice a week and maybe even an afternoon or two after playgroup and then I try write 2 reports a month. Its a bit of an ask but it might be the path I am supposed to go down, at least for now.

Robyn, I can't wait to pull out John's blow up pool, think we'll definitely do that this weekend! He didn't like it last summer but he was so small then, I think it will be much more appreciated now.

Kerry, glad to hear Coldplay was cool and nice to have a lie in on Sunday.

Cols, how is your new position going? Is your new boss cool?

We ended up spending the day at my folks on Sun as it was so flipping hot - we put D is her blow-up pool, which she absolutely loved!
She'll def be a swimmer - when we put her legs in my parent's swimming pool, she loved kicking around and each time we took her away, she just wanted to go back to the pool

DH is in Jhb again this week (Wed & Thurs) so once again, I'm on Dakota, doggies and house duty, all by myself

Am going to drop D off with my folks on Sat so I can look for a new costume - mine are all so old (and not quite fitting too well anymore! )

Flowergirl - Hope Emily is at least feeling better after the weekend?

BabyK - I hear your frustration, it annoys me because i would far rather hear No and know for sure than wait and wait.

I know how it feels when everyone in the household is sick... funny how it always comes to us to sort it out.

Coldplay was awesome Had great fun. and it was sooo goood sleeping in on sunday with K at my folks. But at the same time DH and i were feeling sooo guilty about it.

BKM, hope you hear soon soon about the job.

Flower, I really hope you had a better night last night. Don't loose heart, Em will get better, and you will get some decent sleep again. Now that it's weekend, ask DH to look after her for an hour, and go crawl into bed for a nap. You also need a bit of rest, to keep your strength up.

Sher, it must be hard not having anyone around. My bestie is in the same situation, but luckily she has loads of friends and a wonderfull nanny that can pitch in. Though its not the same.

Abby is doing good. She is still sore somedays, but they've been practising very hard. We have dress rehearsal, hair & make-up and photo's today. Some days they are dancing in the neighbouring town, which is 'too far' for her dad to want to take her. Abby had a really crappy holiday and has beem texting me non-stop about how she wants to come home as misses us. On the positive side, she doesn't have to wear her retainer during the day anymore! Her teeth looks really beauts, and just in time for High School. Ballet do take up a lot of time, but it's the best thing I could have ever done for Abs, I am very sad that Grace doesn't also want to dance, cause it teaches them poise, grace, discipline and hard work. You can clearly see the difference. We have a dance show next weekend, which means loooong hours and mad rushing around. Though I so love it. We all are old hands at this, and it's kinda funny to see the newby moms with LO's scared panic stricken faces when Allison (dance teacher) talks and when it comes to hair and make-up etc. We were there once. And in november Abs is dancing her classical ballet exam. End of the year they are starting to train on Pointe!!!!!! I can't wait to go buy her first pair of Pointes.

Grace just finished a magnificant painting in Art Class. I'll take a pic and upload it. I want to do a mini Art exhibition for her end of the year, as they don't have shows etc. And I just want her to also feel special and that her Art is appreciated.

I must still put together Abs's farewell dress. Luckily the date has been moved to the end of October because of the ballet show.

Men will be men, and they are all the same, 1 sneeze and they are gravely ill!!!!!!!!!

iz is becoming a real busy body! Oh my word she is like a tornado! Leaves nothing alone. She's got a scrape on her foot and when you ask her where her éina is, she show you! So cute! Her song of the month is "In the jungle" which she sings with such passion, you can't help but laugh. Daddy showed her to play quitar with his pletrim, hahaha, that one's gonna bite him in the butt! Especially when he want to prepare for Sunday's Praise & Worship.
