Cols, I have a milk bottle in Iz's bed. Though I wake up and give it to her most times as she needs to be on her cushion to drink.

So yesterday Abby and Grace decides to play ball with iz while I cook at about 3:30. And somehow Abby's hand and finger got in the way of Grace! Put everything on the stove off, grab the kids, jump in the car off to the clinic sister just to have it checked out. Clinic sister sends us straight to dr. Luckily my dr is available to see us quickly. End result, torn ligaments and sprained finger.

This mornig I'm all snotty and I heard Grace also being snotty during the night....urgh!!!!

Thanks Charn. Unfortunately my LO is not a big eater. Loves milk, yoghurt and fruit. I have thrown away so much food with him...

Last night though I ended up making pasta shells, tinned salmon, cheese sauce and pees. He ate the whole bowl and had his milk - 210ml!

I wonder if i need to coat everything in cheese sauce, he really seems to enjoy it. I say that now but watch, tomorrow he wont eat it again

I am sending cream cheese to school today to have them add it to his veggies at lunch.

Tonight, bangers, rice, creamed corn and probably carrots.

Last night he slept a bit longer between wake ups. He drank some water, took his dummy and went back to sleep at around 9 and 11:20 pm. Had his 1st milk since bed at 2:20 am. Woke again at 5:40 am - soaked through and had his morning bottle by 6am. He's been jabbering ever since... I am thinking of leaving a water bottle in the cot with him. Does anyone do that yet? I wonder if he'll find it? He usually finds his dummy...

Oh on a happy note! Evan is pulling himself up on Everything now. I left him in the lounge to go check on his dinner. I came back, he was standing holding the coffee table with 1 hand and my AK cook book in the other! Normally he only pulls himself up against DH and I.

Everyone believes that if you shave a babies hair it grows back thick and beautiful. My mom did it with me, and about everyone I know did it.

Iz got patches of long hair, but I cut it so it doesn't look bad. I have pics of Abby where she kinda looks like a cancer patient, patches of long hair everywhere from when she was little, and all the while I thought she was the most beautiful baby girl. :woohoo:

Now I make a point of ensuring history doesn't repeat itself.

One of these days Em's hair is going to be long enough for gorgeous pigtails!

Pinkmommy - why would she tell you to shave her hair?

she does have stunning hair :) Emily's hair is finally starting to grow a bit now - still can't make ponytails, but at least she is not bald anymore. I had THICK, pitch black curly hair as a baby but she has her fathers thin hair :(

Hehe, I cut Iz's hair twice already at the back. It's a Belcher thing, her cousin also has a serious head of hair. Abby and Grace were also baldies. This other lady said to me the other day I must shave her hair off!!!!!!!!!!!! I almost had heart failure! Yah I know it might be good for their hair, but I am soooo not shaving my childs hair! I am allowed to be selfish! I am the one getting up in the wee hours of the night, I get to decide wether my child will have thin/thick hair one day!

Iz is nowhere near a meal plan like any of your bubs. Such a bummer we can't have any cheese, normal yoghurt etc!

Cols - have you tried feeding him more or is he not interested (I mean food)?

I am following Annabel Karmel recipes and meal plans and according to that, they are "meant" to be eating alot more. Does seem a bit much, but Emily is eating nicely and she is not big - still just under 9KG's.

Not sure what the other ladies are feeding their Lo's, but this is what Emily "typically" eats:

Breakfast:
150mls cows milk
Cereal
Yoghurt
Water

Snack
Fruit - she loves Frozen berries or I give her grated apple
Cheese
Water

Lunch
1 Protein + 1 veg + 1 Carb
eg - chicken, potato with creamed cheese and some veg like peas, carrots (something she can eat by herself)
Purity Rooibos or water

Snack
150mls Cows milk - she sometimes isn't interested in this bottle though.
Rice Cake
If she doesn't take the bottle - I give her pureed fruit (Olli jars) or if she still seems peckish.

Supper
1 Protein, 1-2 Veg, 1 carb
eg - Lamb, butternut, rice

Before Bedtime
175Ml Formula bottle.

Robyn, D is beautiful. I LOVE her eyes! Dont worry about no hair, Evan is still pretty balled too !Does she sleep in the big bed already?

PM, Iz is so gorgeous. Evan hides his teeth and how cute are her pigtails! I really hope your teething / ear / chest woes are over? Let us know what the ENT says?

Jeanine, Welcome back. It sounds like you had a good time :) Wow, I have similar issues with my sister. We're twins, so birthdays were always naff for me. I didnt exist - she got the lime light. Now I do my own thing, if she makes it cool, if not, not my problem :) We do get on a heck of a lot better now.

DH said he spotted a tooth coming through on Evan's bottom gum this morning... He was awake every 2 hours last night. DH told me to give him neurofen but that didnt even help. He is very snotty again / still - we have just finished the AB for his tonsils. I am putting flixonaise nasuals in his nose morning and night - dr's orders. I am now giving him 1 stage 3 bottle a day to see how he goes...

Basically this was yesterday...

Evan does not sleep. He is waking through the night for extra milk bottles. I am exhausted.

Yesterday he had 3 x 210ml + 100ml extra at bedtime. He had tea, juice and water yesterday as well.
Porrige - breakfast
Mashed banana - snack
Mash & veg - lunch
Yoghurt & biscuit - tea time
mash, butternut & vienna for dinner

He has at least 1 extra bottle through the night. It has been going on for a week now. I would think it's just a bad habbit but he is downing the milk, I have tried offering water instead - he drinks it and 10 - 30 minutes later is screaming blue murder again and will not settle until he gets his milk.

Tonight I will make him cheesy mac & cheese with some chicken balls. See how he does. DH & I are having prego steaks and salad.
