Skyler - our brown patches are also by the cement and the stoep - so it must be connected somehow.

The guy that did our grass has suck ass (sorry) after sales service. I've emailed him but he never replies.

DH said we must get some fertiliser but just not sure what to get.

It's so upsetting because he said within 2 months you will have beautiful lush green grass - what a loads of hogwosh!!

I would appreciate any info you could share with us and if I find out anything, I'll let you know.

Morning everyone!

I am really struggling this morning with tiredness i dont know why i feel so run down today and i feel like i cant cope i just need sleep! oh well.....

Maureen thanks so much for sharing your story with us, i am so glad the expressing is going well and Jamie is thriving! hope he continues to get healthier and stronger as each day goes by!

MRS SH i do love the name and i also like the name edward!

Eve - i feel it with you here, we had our grass about a month ago it did very well but now we also have some brown patches, we have been religious in everything we were supposed to do! What I have noticed is that around the vibracrete wall is most of the brown dont know if its connected.... i do know that you can get grass fertilizer like grass feed, we were going to get that (there is only one you can use if you have dogs i will get the name for you as the others is poisenous) but then our grass guy said that we shouldnt put the fertizilier on during winter / colder months as it needs the sun otherwise the grass will dye now but i am gonna call him about hte brown patches and let you know what he says :)

BUT DH also said he has been looking around the neighbourhood and other peeps also have brown patches so perhaps its the time of year?

BUT i do feel ykour pain our grass was R4000!

Mrs SH - sorry, my mind is not functional!! Meant to say - that you have chosen a beautiful name - and love that it can be shortened to Alex :)

Grass/lawn - anybody have any ideas of how we can get our grass to grow? We spent thousands having the damn roll on lawn laid and there are still patches of dead brown grass that just won't grow - it's been 2 months now. I am at my wits end with this blady lawn!!

Hi Ladies,

Maureen - Congratulations again on Jamie's birth. You are a strong and brave woman and I wish you all the best.

Mrs S H - that is a lovely name.

Eve and Mrs S H - very, very cool on husbands being so "hands on". I really wish mine would, but I am doing everything myself, at least I know that it will be done, otherwise I would have to wait until he is able to.

Have a good day further.

Good morning preggy fairies and mommies :)

First of all - Maureen - I am so happy to hear that Jamie is doing well, been thinking about you and him loads and loads! Funny about the poo ehheheheheh

Mrs SH and Lucy - a salomie is curry wrapped up in a roti. A roti is like a naan bread/pancake thing - it was soooooo good and gave me heartburn all night but was worth it.

Shopping - we had such an awesome time shopping. We literally have everything we need for Connor now (in 2 days shopping flat!). There are some minor things I need to get like wooden letters for room, granny panties, cupboard door handles etc but will get those on Friday.

Compactum - we bought a worker's bench from Builders Warehouse - it's 1.5 metres! It's getting delivered today and then I will start to paint it and pack everything in.

Hospital bag - I still haven't done my hospital bag because I haven't bought the actual bag yet, hopefully on Friday.

Stretchmarks - found this miracle cream at Perfect Reflections in Canal Walk. Was going to buy the nimue Derma Repair but they advised me to get Regima Scare Repair instead. Plastic surgeons recommend it to their patients after surgery. It was R330, which is cheaper than the Nimue. The specialists there said you must treat your stretchmarks while they are still pink, red or purple!

Baby shower - mine is this weekend, I'm sure :) So excited!!

morning ladies

Had a good wknd so cant complain :)

Mrs S I love Alexander such a awesome name :)

Maureen not a problem friend one of these days u and me will get round to playdates too :)

Jane - I think any preggy shake as its targeted to specifically feed mummy and baby

eve - wow on shopping so happy u got your stuff re the babycarrier (sorry forgot earlier and maybe too late now) but I found the kango pouch to be the best one it can be used from 1mnth up to 10kg's (around 1yr) and its very sturdy, comfy, adjustable and u can let baby sleep on it as it pops off without disturbing baby - I couldnt do the babysense sling as baby folds in half and too heavy for one shoulder

mrs s and eve - wow wow on dh's sooooooo cool that they getting into it :)

afm - not lifted a finger yet, still waiting for chest of drawers so I can start unpacking clothes and washing it - babyshower should be 8th of may so will do it then but will slowly start hospital bag now as I have between 3-6 wks left (god willing) if baba comes early its the minor yikes!!!!!
