Maureen, I am so glad Jamie is doing well and sounds like you are coping with the expressing. Hope Jamie gets to come home soon.

TO all the wonderful ladies that had their baby showers this weekend. CONGRATULATIONS! Hope you all got spoiled rotten.

To everyone one else HI Sorry I can't remember half of what I wanted to say and this Bronchitis is not helping. O I do remember that someones husband was very sweet.

Well, I was convinced that my BS would be on saturday but it didn't happen. My DH just laughed at me. Guess it will maybe be this saturday.

Mrs SH - It is a really nice name. You can have a look at Baby Room just below treehouse in High Street, Durbanville, near Baby City. We bought nice big letters for R20 each and there is smaller letters as well. See you at class tonight, don't know what to expect really.

We have also finally decided on a name : Zarika.

The room is coming along nicely. We ripped out the old carpet, hubby put new skirtings in and started with the 1st coating of paint. He also put in new lights that can be dimmed. Now, it will have to wait until weekend again as we have something on every night this week. Hubby also suddenly has a cold, I just hope I don't get it too.

Maureen - congrats again on Jamie's birth. Hope you have him home real soon.

Welcome Anthea- I think I know you from Fit preg forum on June 2010 babies, anyway welcome. You will find this site to be very exciting.

Went for Dr.s App on Friday, baby is doing well, he is 2.2 kg at 33 weeks. Heart beat is okay. He said I must now come and see him after two weeks.

Braxton kicks- I have been having very bad cramps in my lower abdomen, is that the famous BH????????.

So how many of you had your baby showers during the weekend.

A little bird told me that mine is on the 28 of May. So I'm praying baby does not pop out early as I will be 37 wks.

Another week closer to Chloe's arrival. Six weeks exactly from today (if everything goes according to plan).

So I had my other BS friday evening. As we got to my DH offices I noticed cars from friends that were definitely not supposed to be there, so then I knew. But that being said, I enjoyed every second of it. There were people there that I did not think would come to my BS. And as it turned out, my DH played such a big role in the organisation of it. He even bought two platters for the ladies. I also received the nicest goodies, too much to mention here.

So on Saturday we went to our baby shop and bought the final stuff. Now I am set.

Just a quick question. I have Dr Browns bottles, the long standard neck ones. The problem is, it does not fit into the sterilizer, it is too long. Must I literally boil it out every time before I want to use it?

Maureen - CONGRATS WITH JAMIE! We all pray that he will be home soon, but it sounds as if he is a strong boy and doing great under circumstances.

Welcome Anthea! Your LO will be born on my brother’s birthday!

Mrs SH- Good strong name, I love it!

June happens to be the busiest birthday month of both my families and a lot of people are hoping my baby will be born on their birthday, I’m hoping he gets his own special day and somehow comes out on a day that’s not taken yet, that’s gonna be tough.

We washed Mateo’s newborn clothes on Saturday and now my hospital bags are packed! I couldn’t believe how much stuff I ended up stuffing in there! All essentials of coz!

Maureen- I am so glad to know you and Jamie are doing well! I trust that he will get stronger each day and will be home before you know it. I want to see a close up of that oulike face! He looks too precious though. Oh that nappy story was funny!! I’ve heard that little boys can pee on you when trying to change them, you have confirmed my fears. I’m also glad your breastfeeding is going well, you really are an amazing person.

You ladies have been really busy. One thing for certain is that I am so glad all my aches and pains are gone. I don't even have to get up in the night to pee. Although I do get up every 3 hours as I have to express breast milk. Which is going very well to say the least.

I thought I would share someting funny with you all. Because Jamie is so small, I am really scared to help the sister with bathing, changing him. So this afternoon, he had a good poo...like I could hear it come out and everything. Thinking I was nice, I decided to change him myself, with DH help. SO he wasn't really done, he literally shat himself, his bed and then of course proceeded peeing on me, DH and himself. After cleaning him up, I had to get the nurse in anyway as we had to change the bedding, she killed herself laughing at us. So hopefully tomorrow the second nappy will go better.

I posted my birth story. Unfortunetly I don't have time to read through everything you have posted in the last week. But will get to it tomorrow as I will be at Hospital with Jamie and be taking my laptop with as well.

Just a quick thank you to everyone. I really do appreciate it. And also a special thank you to Nelria, for popping into hospital on Friday and the beautiful gifts your brought. Dh was really touched by it.
