Ladies, do your gyneas still listen to baby's heartbeat at each visit? Mine hasn't listened to LG's heartbeat with the last 2 visits and I was just wondering.

Lucyv - it's like our antenatal class lady told us, if in doubt, go to the labour ward or the gynea, that's why we have all these services. Rather have piece of mind than stressing and not knowing. I really hope you can sleep tonight.

Eloise - I also like the hair salon gift - I mean who doesn't like getting pamper vouchers!

So exciting all these baby showers.

Skyler - I like that idea, but I think her BF is doing that for her. She said she was anyway. We've decided to go for the air purifier. I'm going to go to Cape Gate after work, the Dis-chem here at Willowbridge didn't have it.

I'm going for my free pedicure (the little world voucher from Woolies) at 16h00. can't wait. I have such a headache all of a sudden. Earlier I was couldn't see on my computer screen. I think it's just the glare that's streaming in from the windows - such a glorious day in CPT.

And I've just registered with Tums2Mums. I made the payment and sent the confirmation through to Vanessa and 5 minutes later she called me to confirm that she has received it and that she will be sending me the welcome pack. How's that for service!! They cost R350 if you give birth at a Medi-Clinic.

Ag Lucy that sucks! Why are you not on leave? Cnat Doc put you off for a few days so that you can stabalise and gets some much needed rest?

I had all of the with my last lg and it can be soooo stressful.

Oh Lucy - shame man fairy!! Glad that you went to gynae.

Your little man is giving you hassles because he also wants to come out and meet his mommy and daddy early!

Ok ok I am starting to feel like I am constantly crying wolf... just came back from the Gynae after a bad case of Braxton Hicks & False Labour. Called Gynae with all symptoms and even they were unsure.

I haven't been sleeping, had nausea and diarrhea then had 5 contractions within 1 hour.. which later disappeared completely... Went to Gynae went on to ICG.... baby is fine, he is low and my uterus is irritated (which doesn't mean that baby will come soon tho). But baby is making this awful for me including the sleep, carpel tunnel and nausea etc as he has no space... YET HE IS MAKING SPACE! Nice one! They did however find Protein for the 1st time in my urine... so this may mean nothing or by the 10th I will see if it is worse and then will need to move C Sec sooner to avoid PreEclampsia as my BP is already higher too...

I can barely walk... I did come back to work and plan to take one of the Doc's sleeping pills tonight and continue as much as I can...

All ladies have parties this weekend - I wish you are all blessed and spoilt rotten - having gotten to know you all... really only want the best for you?

Nelria - did you manage to go see Maureen... how is she?

Baby showers - I am convinced that mine is next Saturday and also cannot wait.

Was also thinking about getting my friend a gift to say thank you. DH is making a monetary contribution to the baby shower, which I think is very sweet of him.

I have no idea what to get my friend but maybe like you say, a spa voucher, even if it's just for a manicure or a neck rub or something.

How much do you think you are going to spend on the voucher?

Skyler - actually that was exactly what was on my mind.

Maybe a nice colour. She usually styles her hair herself - she has easy hair and does it brilliantly herself. But her attempts at colour are well rather off-colour

So yes I think a nice colour and works should do it!
