omw GIRLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! where are u all yikes its creepy in here come on ladies get chatting

afm - xen is siiting strong now and having terrible nappies so i reckon teeth might be in around the corner wasnt hoping for it as lea only got 1st tooth at 14mnths and then they much stronger but hey each kid to its own

Xen is still worst sleeper in the world wakes around 3-4 times drinks from boob even if i offer water is gladly taken so i reckon he stays hungry and thirsty but this mummy has had enough (lea did same so going on 3yrs of crap sleep now) so getting a sleep drug from paed thats knocks them out apparently 12hrs - to reboot system and sleep train so on the 28th I will get it and then try it in capetown - ME NEED SLEEP

xen on full solids - no complaints and is generally verrry happy babe all smiles - rolls over wriggles alot and sits but other than that nothing new

cookie monster - I have jolly jumper and neither of my kids went in it :( most of these things are nice to have but could go either way overused or never used but not necesity they go from falling over to sitting by self in 1mnth then flops into crawling again over about 3mnths then on their way and dont like restrained I would rather keep changinf toys, area, scenery - use bumbo, padded box, dougnut, doggy basket, rolled towels, camping chairs, feeding chairs, continental pillows and move from out to in etc then bouncing in arms not needed :)

missy - bf has lost all my eight and some but only had 14 to loose so not to worry now everything is saggy so bigger problem lol

as for solids give morning boob - sleep-then pap sommer free hand measure - sleep - lunch (middle fruit purity) then play sleep and 5 veg/meat (middle jar size) then 6 boob and top-up

Hi ladies,

Ai, no one keeping the forum alive anymore...

If someone is still reading this, how are you guys doing with teeth?

Alex got his first bottom middle tooth yesterday. He didn't teeth too badly before, dribbling and chewing everything. But now that it's through, my little man has a temprature, is niggly, wants to be held, doesn't have an appetite for solids and is really not well. Fortunately there's been no stomach or nappy rash or anything like that, but it sucks.

I just called my clinic sister and she said to give him neurofen as it's anti-inflamatory. I also have hylands teething tablets which I haven't used, so might bring that out.

shame my poor baby - sucks that they have to go through this and they're only little!

Other than that, he's thriving. Reaching his developmental milestones at his own pace. His laughs is the best sound in the world and gosh, I love him to pieces!

We had his christening this Sunday (all the grandparents were in town for a change) and he did splendidly. No crying, in fact, when the dominee wanted to give his 'doop seel', he grabbed it out his hand and tried to eat it. That's my little entertainer for you!

Not near crawling yet. Rolling comfortably from back to tummy, not so much tummy to back. He can sit unassisted for short times, but I do pack pillows behind him or sit behind him.

He is on 3 solid meals a day and I'm still breastfeeding. He was sleeping through from 7 - 5 every night. Damn teething!!

Elo Ladies,

Been reading this forum for quite a while and never had a chance to even greet. My little girl will be 6 months on sunday and still struggling to sit for longer than 10sec...lol just falls over to the left side when her concentration is broken.

is it a good idea to buy her a jolly jumper, as to let her jump in my arms is tiring especially 8kgs.

Enjoy your weekend ladies

geez, I too have 5kg's to loose and its just not budging! I walk almost 5kms most mornings with Shane in the pram. Eating salads etc and its just not moving, its just sooooo depressing! At this rate I'll get pregnant with my 2nd before I loose the 5kg's.

Missy, Shane is only on formula still. Starting babyled weaning this weekend. I cant wait. I've read the book and am addicted to a blog called, babyledweaning.blogware.com. I'm going to start with a stick of carrot and head of brocili this weekend and will probably throw in a slice of toast or rice cake.

I've been back at work since 1 Oct and its getting easier. hang in there gals, you will cope. 1 thing i can say is that I get so excited for the weekend and the thought of 2 days with my babyboy I can barely run out of the office quick enough on Fridays.

Hi Ladies,

Missy my LG was born on the 21st of May, she is 6 months.

She sleeps through the night. My LG also has eczema and I am using Epizone E to bath her with and Nutruderm afterwards on her body. Using SBR repair cream on her face. She eats butternut, gem squash, pumkin, sweet potato and will not eat the purity ones, only the fresh veg that I make.

I also started giving her fruit for lunch last week, she has all the woolies fruit, again refuses to eat the purity fruit (fussy fussy eater).

My paed suggested we give her rice cereal only because of the eczema, she has been having rice cereal from the beginning.

I started work last week Monday and it is still so difficult to leave home. I am so depressed at work.

Don't even talk about the weight loss, I still have 5kg more to loose to get to my pre-pregnancy weight. :(
