woooooooohoooooooo our thread is alive

ok my 2cents lea was teething since 2mnths then had her 1st tooth at 14mnths LOL she was just a difficult baby and had to blame something

anyhoe all i am saying is baby's can fus for no reason but putting gel on will help in case i used 4 tubes before her 1st teeth and she is 2 in nov and still only has 10 teeth LOL

ok so both sick on my side again ear/throat and nose

also lea too tumble of steps so her nose busted badly

afm - trying to study between paed trips

maureen - super congrats

noster - way cute

luc - good work hun

As most of you already know, I have found myself in a terrible situation for the past 2 months. I am jobless, homeless and financially have hit rock bottom. I am now, with all your help and prayers slowly bringing myself out of this mess.



I would like to thank all of you on this forum for all the help that you have given me. I will be always grateful.

Thanks for the comprehensive answers ladies. I thought as much and it's just reassuring to know that all babies do this.

I agree it comes and goes cause last night he slept like well...a baby (haha) and he has been the best baby in the world so far today. Thank goodness for that or l probably would've keeled over with exhaustion!!

Mrs SH and Noster - seeing as Jamie is a bit older, I will share my experience. Jamie had everything the same as you two describe, it comes and goes. It is just the teeth setting into the gums, and there is nothing you can do for them. We are still waiting for his teeth to appear almost 8 weeks later! Just be patient and understand that it hurts. If there is no fever, there is no problem. Jamie started again yesterday with a lot of dirty nappies and tantrums.

Good luck as I have been going through this for almost 2 months now. Like I said, Jamie symptoms stay for about a week then go away for a week and then come back again for a week, you get the idea.

And babies as young as 12 weeks can start teething, the normal time is at 3 months...

I went to the paed with Chloé about exactly the same thing. She was also drooling, gumming everything and did not drink quit as well as normally. She also had more nappies than usual that was quit disgusting.

Here is the thing about teething as I got it from the dr:
1. It is possible that it may be the start of teething. Babies are difficult (drooling, etc) when the teeth are setting into the gums. The thing is this process may actually go on for quit a while, sometimes even up to three months. When the teeth cut the gum, the symptoms pass.
2. My dr prescribed Bonjela as she says Teejel does not do the job. I have to put it on Chloé's gums in the morning and in the evening.
3. It is never too early for teething. I know of babies that was born with teeth.
4. If it is not teething, maybe it is stomach upset. I know for a fact that gastro is in the air.

Does he have a fever?

Lucy/Maureen/Nelria/etc - what you are doing for Simone is commendable and admirable. I hope the donations helps them, how the hell she's coping with all that pressure...the poor poor family!

Ok so I need info on teething. Alex is 14weeks, drooling a bib dripping wet every day and had a record 7 poo nappies yesterday including one at night which is totally not like him. He is also fussy in the day, had a temper tantrum with me today and is sleeping restlessly at night.

1. Is this the start of teething?
2. Is it actual teething or just the teeth setting into the gums?
3. Is there anything I can do to make it a nicer experience for him?
4. Isn't it too early, they usually cut their first teeth around 6 monhts don't they??
5. If it's not teething, what can it be because so help me God, it's like a demon has possessed my angel!! Ok so I'm exaggerating, but from never crying to tantrums isn't cool...

Let me post this before my blackberry gets hungry again...
