juandre- ur little girl is adorable! Congrats again!

simone- it sucks about these natural induction methods not working! I thought it would at least get the contractions going. if u feeling tired then u should rest! Get ur mom or other family to come and help with the curtains then u can just sit back and relax while they do the work. My dr. wants to induce by next week wed. if baby isnt born yet so everyday i get more anxious and hope he'll come before then. Ur date is so close, i really hope ur baby comes before thurs. sorry cant help with uif forms since i'm not claiming, u could give the department of labour a call, i'm sure they'll be able to help.

Hi Everyone,

Missed you all but the last two weeks have gone by in a blur... Amazing how much time a baby takes up!!!

McKeilagh Georgia Nel was born on Tuesday 15th June at 18h30 via emergency c-section.
The weekend before Mckeilagh was born I was feeling nar and had lost my appetite. I spent most of it on the bed whilst DH finished the nursery. On the Monday I was still not feeling well so between clients I stopped at the labour ward. As you all know I have suffered from severe oedema since 30 weeks but with no BP problems. This time I was admitted with pre- eclampsia- my BP was very high and I had +3 protein in my urine.
On Tuesday my bloods came back showing my platelites were dropping and my enzime count was in the 200's instead of the 30's. Dr took me straight to surgery.

She was born at 2.87kg's, dropped to 2.555 by the time we left the hospital. We had to stay a few extra days as my dr wanted my bloods to return to normal. But now at 2 weeks she is a healthy 3kg's. She latched the first feed and feeds every 3 hours during the day, at night we leave her to wake us.

I will catch up on who has had their babies and when as soon as I can!!!

Here is a picture of our gorgeous girl

Hi Alex,

I am also going to be watching movies and for some stupid reason I feel like hanging up new curtains, but don't think I will manage that. But now that I have that thought in my head it won't go away. Every morning I say okay time to hang up the curtains, but it is such a mission. I am also finding it very diffficult to get up in the morning. I was always up bright and early, but now I just can't seem to get myself awake.

Alex, are you going to be induced, if baby doesn't come by this week as well?

I have also tried everything, but I am not going to try castor oil.

I am so huge and uncomfortable.

I will be going to the Dr. again on Thursday and they might induce me then. I really don't want that.

Also are you claiming from UIF. I am and I will be submitting my forms tomorrow, but I am stuck on one of the forms. The UI-2.7 form. I am not sure if I fill this in.

Chat later.

hey Simone!

During day i'm constantly adding new decorations to baby area and have re packed the cupboards and chest of drawers a bunch of times. I watch alot of movies as well :) Mark tells me to sleep but my mind is too busy to do that. What will u be up to during the day now that u on leave?
I've been talking to my baby, telling him that he needs to come before the induction so i understand how anxious u must be feeling. Have u tried natural induction methods like sex, orgasm, bouncing on ball, nipple stimulation etc? I've tried it all except castor oil, i heard that gives a runny tummy, but nothing has worked.

Afternoon Ladies,

Lucy - can't believe that he turned on his own already? So glad for you that he managed a full feed though.

Zeltjie - Good for you, your babies seem very easy going.

Eve - Good for Connor sleeping, it does always get easier, but why the vomit?

Missytq - It seems like you have the routine down to a fine art.

All you new mommies are really doing so very well, I am so proud of you all.

Alex - I am still waiting and also 40 weeks this week. It will be soon. I am just worried that if baby does not come by Thursday, the hospital said they will induce.
Otherwise, it seems like everything is good with you. What do you do during the day?

morning!

Lucy-Awesome news that London slept for four hours and finished a full feed! Absolutely shocking that he can turn already!Did the schedule work for the other nights as well?

Eve- yay! Connor had a good night as well!

Misstq- you only have 2 bad nights a week? That sounds too good to be true!

Seems all the babies are settling nicely now. Well done mommies for getting through the niggly phase!

So today I am exactly 40 weeks pregnant and starting to wonder if the pregnancy will ever end. On Saturday we had to rush through to the hospital since I was bleeding. They violated me with an awful metal thing to check my cervix, similar to the thing they use for a pap smear but WAY more painful. Anyway, the bleeding is nothing serious, apparently a sign that my show will start soon. But then again they have been telling me for three weeks that he'll be born soon so I'm starting to doubt their accuracy. Well they say good things comes to those who wait, not like I have any other option.

Krisandra's routine.
5/7 days a week it goes like this

08:00 - she wakes up. i feed her we play i dress her and i change her nappy. Goes to sleep again

11:00 - she wakes up i feed her change her nappy and i play with her ( this is her active period )if granny doesn't look after her i put her in her pram and i talk to her while i do my work/schoolwork

16:00 - Bath time! if i don't bath her at 4 she goes crazy and won't go to sleep. after bath time i feed her and she's exhausted i put her in her camp cot which is in the tv room and she sleeps while i watch my soaps.

20:00 - we go to bed. she sleeps with me in my bed because i breastfeed. i feed her change her nappy burp her and we go to sleep

00:00 - i feed her, change her nappy and drink my bp pills and we go back to sleep

03:00 - i feed her, she drinks for 3 minutes or so then dozes off again. then i change her nappy

06:00 - feed her, change her nappy goes back to sleep till 8. around 20 to 8 i start talking to her, saying morning and so on.

i don't talk to her during the night.we sleep with the light on, im going to keep it that way until she is about 3 months.

"the bad Nights" we struggle with winds.it last for 3-4 hours during the night!
