Zeltjie - that is so exciting, yay!! Jumping the queue is fine, you're having twins hehehhehe

I didn't know medi clnic's day starts at 12. I thought days run from whenever u r admitted till 24 hours later?

I also thought they only start "counting" ur days that ur allowed to stay in hospital from the time of the actual birth? Or is this just different because of medical aid?

Lucy, how does it work? Oh yes, also wanted to ask more about spinal block. Did they give u local anesthetic first and was it sore when they did it? I'm still scared of epidural but I need one.

Zeltjie - trust me 6am is better than afternoon... firstly you are not allowed to eat or drink for like 10 hours before op. Which is easy for a 6am and not for later... I went in at 8am and was DYING of thirst but could have nothing.... Also means you will be walking around that night and be physically able to start tending to baby, with later you would spend whole night in bed... CONGRATS AND GOOD LUCK!!!

I am still in shock!!! I am jumping the queue! Went to my doc this morning! He said there is no need that I have to be in pain if not necessary. Yay, someone batting for the Zeltjie Team! He suggested maybe doing it for the 10th, but realised he won't be here. Suggested that one of his back-ups do the c-section... And I said 'Thanks, but no! I prefer you do it! So... we are doing the c-section on Tuesday, 8th of June at 6 'o clock! Man o man! So that is in 3 days time!!! I wanted to do it after 12:00, because that is when Medi-clinic's day starts... But now he will be doing it at 6am which will mean that my 1st day will be over 6hours later but what the heck! We are paying for it cash, so it does actually matter, but... (Not sure if I should say that I've suffered enough and just want to meet them already! ...or what!) ...but yes!

So the bags still aren't packed, but I phoned my mom to come to my rescue! They will be here this afternoon! Yay. I'm drinking Aterax, 3 x daily to relax my muscles and doc wants me to drink 3 tablets for my blood pressure instead of just 2. I just don't have the energy to think straight!

Still in shock!!!

Bringing on baby - I didn't manage to get the tea today but will definitely make it tomorrow's top priority to run down to the health store. DH is so keen on hum-pa-dee hum-pa-dee and is asking me all the time if he can jump my bones

Mural - I finally finished the mural so can relax a little now. Blinds and curtain rail is also up so things are getting there.

ALex hope your baby arives before 38 weeks...try alot of walking as well,it also ripes the cerviks-about 1-2km. ALso watching TV on all fours/or washing your kitchen floor on all fours or bouncing for 10 minutes on gym ball Good luck!!!

From 38 weeks I will try all theses home remedies myself

PS: Caitlin suckles like a flipping baracuda when she gets going...really have to look after my boobies cos otherwise I am gonna be in agony. But the milk is still flowing strong!
