Oh my hat - congrats Vicky-Lee! That's awesome news. Glad it all went well!

Ronel - I typed you an email today, but managed to delete it when the page refreshed. Was wondering how you were doing. Are you enjoying having Mom around?

So we went to the gynea and he reckons Hotel Utero is so comfortable that Alex will stay put for another 2 weeks! The scan machine predicted his arrival on 18 June - which will take me to 40 weeks and a few days. Dr said that he's booking me in for a ceasar if baby is not out by 21 June.

My cervix is still long and firmly closed. Baby's head is not engaged yet, but is laying in the right position. He is weighing a whopping 3.2kg and is predicted to weigh 3.5kg at birth. The internal was uncomfortable, but over quickly.

Dr is very happy with progress. I haven't gained any weight (can I get a whoop whoop). My placenta is starting to 'verkalk', but at a very slow rate. Dr said that unless my water breaks, we're in the safe zone for a while yet.

I'm fortunately not too uncomfortable yet, so I don't mind the longer wait. It's just the excitement and anxiousness to meet him that is hard to contain, but Alex will come when he's good and ready. My lessons in patience has started it seems...

Ag but the scan is just too cute. He had his hands in front of his face as if he was hiding from us. I love him so much already.

Another cool thing was that Dr made DH feel where the head was situated and showed that we could still fit our hand between the birthing channel and the head to show that it's not engaged. Very interesting.

Anyway, that was a very detailed report of the visit. I have to go see him again next week Friday, 11 June, a day before my original due date!

See last time the EDD moved to 14 June, but I've been using my original date, so now the 18th seems so far...but we're cool with it. It gives DH some more time to get more work done.

Went to gine today-everything fine with boeta-he is weighing now 3kg,and measures 37 weeks.
Placenta still healthy and is laying in perfect position for normal delivery.
Gine expects him in week or two.

It is getting so exciting here right now,all the mommies popping!!!!

Sorry for being MIA! My mom is visiting us and we have been busy this whole week washing LG's stuff and getting everything ready for her. Our bags aren't pack yet, but we are getting there.

Lucy, Skyler, Jane, Maureen, Jellybaby and Vickylee - congrats on the birth of your babies, may they bring you so much happiness. For those who posted pics, your babies are gorgeous! Hope I haven't left out any mommy!

I am seeing gynea again on Friday and my c-sec is booked for 9 June. That is exactly in a week, I am starting to get really nervous and can't believe the time has gone by so quickly. I don't have to much pains, just getting tired and uncomfortable very quickly. Also I have started to wake up in the evenings and then not being able to go back to sleep. Otherwise I am really doing good.

Nelria - glad to hear you are better. Please look after yourself.

I just saw Vicky Lee's Facebook status and she gave birth this morning!!

Lee-Ann Jacobs Baby boy Ziyad Pervaiz was welcomd into this world at 11:12am by his mom nd dad.he tuk us al by surprise nd came 2wks early. He weighed 2.87kg,height 53cm and hd an apgar of 10/10.i tnk God 4his mercy grace and 4entrustn me wit this grt gift.tank u Lord 4tis blesing nd a smooth delivery proces.

Mrs SH - I saw Alex's room on Facebook and it looks gorgeous - well done!!

I also crossed some things off Connor's list and moved some things to "things needed later on".

Zeltjie - jip, I'm with you with the packing the bags thing. I still haven't done mine. It's all ready in the cupboard, I just haven't transferred it from there into a suitcase. Also loved my pregnancy.

Jane - yay for being home! Thanks for the info on the bottle/breast. Reason for asking is that it's my best friends wedding 3 weeks after baby is due and I'm hoping to leave him at mom's place with an expressed milk bottle, but only for then. Really hoping to breastfeed.

Eve - my baby room is finally done. All we still need is a bin and a thermometer for when baby gets sick. All the other things have either fallen off the list or I've forgotten what they were. I still have a voucher for BabyCity so might go walk around there tomorrow to see what else there is. And that chocolate cake sounds good round about now...!

I have to remember to get the stuff for the jungle juice. Otherwise I'll just send DH. Shame, the poor man...!

Eloise - great that they spoilt you at work.

Alex - yes the pubic pressure - I'm hoping that dr tells me today that baby has dropped. It was so sore today that I could hardly walk, but that was after sitting/laying on the couch the whole morning.
