Eve- Gynae said today that in the last few weeks baby puts on 500g a week instead of the normal 150-200g range and based on that Mateo should weigh 2.9kgs at birth but they estimate he’ll be 3.2kgs. I haven’t a clue how they come up with these figures. But you right, the most important thing is that baby is healthy. Don’t forget to post pics of your belly cast! Oh men can be such idiots! He probably had a bad day at work but it doesn’t give me the right to take it out on you, he’ll feel guilty and make it up to you, I’m sure of it.

Morgan- thanks for letting us know. Send Nelria our best wishes! Hope you doing well.

Simone- I’m not too concerned about the protein, It could just be stress or a bladder infection but of coz the gynae had to go to worse case scenario and mention preeclampsia, they so negative!
Since you going completely natural (as am I), I was wondering if you and your dh have practiced birthing positions and discussed his role as a birth partner. I have actually given Mark a list of what I expect from him as a birth partner, since I don’t want him to stand around and watch me in pain, he’ll only feel useless doing that. Some days I’m terrified of the pain and on other days I think it can’t be that bad, just breath and move around. How are your nerves holding up?

Sal- Geez, Sal! That’s a big baba! Enjoy being bored, once baby is here you’ll forget what it’s like. Your time is almost here!

Mrs SH- Mateo is my little boy; Skyler is giving birth to Breyton! I know how you feel about baby coming early coz of DH’s work. Mark has been swamped the past month and pulling a bunch of all nighters trying to get things out of the way before the birth. If Mateo came early, Mark would be a zombie at the hospital so we hoping he stays put for at least another two weeks. All the best with the (gulp) internal!

All the new mommies (Maureen, Jane, Nadia and Lucy) - let us know how you are doing. People always ask about the baby and forget the mother just went through a hectic ordeal. How is the adjustment and coping with the constant feeds and sleep deprivation? It would be great if you’ll let us know what we in for.

Guess I’m the only one suffering from a painful pubic bone, I was bound to have a crappy symptom some time since my biggest complaint was always just extremely swollen feet (dr thinks I’m retaining about 2kgs of water), which isn’t really anything to complain about. Oh well. It’s the final stretch so not much longer.

Skyler - you sly gir, jumping the queue! So excited for you, good luck, I reckon you've already had Mateo by this time. Can't believe you went into labour after seeing Lucy. I'm so peeved I couldn't make, it perhaps that's what set you off! Haha. No seriously, good luck - wishing you your perfect birth with healthy baby and healthy mommy in the end.

Lucy - London is absolutely perfect. There is nothing more to say. Congratulations.

Sal - I'm sure you'll be next. I know the boredom feeling. I've been off for 2.5 weeks now and had so much to do that tomorrow will be one of the first days that I'll be at home for the whole day. Looking forward to it. Enjoy the last few days of peace and put your feet up.

Eve - awesome that DH said you can stay at home next year. Shitty that he was insensitive...he probably just had a crappy day. Shame, not good to get emo now. Virtual hug!

AFM - all's well here. Alex is still comfortable. He best not come until next week. DH is so busy at work and I can tell that he is worried that if Alex comes, what he will have to do. If Alex can wait until the work is done, then he would have made enough money already to cover our bills in June and July. So I'm keeping my legs firmly shut and making Hotel Utero as comfortable as possible for him.

My belly is actually quite small. Everyone is commenting that it's small and that they can't believe that I'm 2 weeks away. Which could be down to the fact that I've proportionately picked up weight everywhere and just look small or that Alex is going to be an easily push-able weight. I prefer the latter.

Going to the gynea tomorrow so will find out then. Probably having an internal...eeeeeuuuwwww!

Nelria - aggenee mamma. I hope you feel better. Let us know when you're out. And what Xen is doing with that umbilical cord of his.

Maureen - I LOVE your photos. Jamie is just the cutest thing. Pity about the bulls stuff though (coming from the Stormer supporter!).

Jane - thanks for the update on Caitlin. Sure the jaundice has since passed. What bottle brand are you using? Have you attempted breastfeeding yet - just curious to see if nipple confusion is a reality or a old wives tale.

Zeltjie - thanks for the tip on the apple vs grape juice in the jungle juice. I'm going to get the stuff later this week.

Eloise - your DH rocks. So impressed!

Eve, have begged DH to take me out tomorrow night, perhaps a movie and dinner or something. Told him I'm developing serious cabin fever, so at least I have that to look forward to.

Simone - Haven't had any BH since the last time, which was ages ago. Kinda dispondent because I thought they would become a regular thing. Anyhoo!

Sal - I did nothing today and also got so bored - tomorrow I'm definitely going to lift my butt. I'm sure you're next

DH - I was looking so forward to fetching DH from the station today and on the way home he tried to explain some directions to me about a bridge and a circle and I couldn't picture where it was - anyway, long story short - he suggested that I'm too lazy and silly to use my brain. I'm so hurt that I could cry. Why do men have to be such assholes!! My highlight of my day is fetching him from the station and he had to ruin it by being so insensitive.
