ps. Update on Connors development to date:

He has 6 teeth now, is eating just about everything Hein & I eat now....he's down to 3 bottles a day and drinks about 150mls water EVERYDAY..he LOVES the staff, can't get enough of the stuff....no juice, just pure water. He isn't walking yet, but he stands well and cruises along the furniture...babbles up a storm and says, mama, dada, baba, ouma, de goede (believe it or not....he says our surname) and "ta". He's such a cutie at the moment, but busier and more demanding that ever, lol, so its a challenge too...Im defs not thinking of No.2 anytime soon....Connor is more than enough for me to handle!

Ok..thats all I can think of for now :cheer:

My beautiful baby boy, Connor Troy, was born on 20 March 2010 and my 2nd gorgeous boy, Cullen Reece, was born on 2 September 2011 - I am very blessed indeed

Hellooooooooooooooooooooooo ladies!!! wow....I havent posted in aaaaaaaaaages, have missed you all very much!! Think I last posted just before we moved to CPT...which was beginning of Feb :( - I have been reading...but with having been at home, and not having had a laptop handy....I just read....didnt post....lol

It seems as if everyone and their babas are doing well - will not even try to respond to everyone individually.....lol...wouldnt know where and who to start with - I will just say a big group "hello".

So far, things in Cape Town are starting to settle down... its feeling alot more normal now...although I am still missing JHB very much. I've started working...was lucky enough to only have to go for one interview and was offered the job, yay 4 me. Some of you may know that Connor was in hospital 2 weeks ago....for bronchitis, what a sucky sucky sucky time....I wouldnt wish hospital on anyone....it was a nightmare!!! He's much better now....still a tad snotty....but, manageable!!

He'll be turning 1 on the 20th March...and we're going up to JHB to have his party there....so that all the family can be included too...I CAN'T WAIT!!!!!

To the mommies who had their get together last Friday, when I saw your pics, I was SOOOOO envious...looked like you had such a good time....and your babies just looked HEAVENLY!!!!!!

Im hoping to start posting more often...have missed Moomie!!!

Love to you all...
Des (and my almost 1 year old....Connor :) )

@ Scribblingal - HELL NO... there will be no "OOPSIES" of that kind here just yet! I'm only just getting over the first few heavy months we had with Tayla... lol!!!
Yes = it was the bottom 2, and it seems one of the top front ones are peeking under the gum as well...
She may not have any teething signs... but GEEZ LOUISE... her moods and tantrums have escalated hugely! I'm considering pulling the teeth just to stop the tantrums!
And yes - it was just at home.. ha ha ha.. he has also been crawling around the house for the last month to try and encourage miss muffet to do the same.. she just thinks he is funny!

Beansmom that is hilarious! I can just imagine this guy walking around with a sippy cup - I take it he only did it at home. Congratulations on the teeth!! Although I must say that when you said you had an announcement to make my mind went into a whirl thinking "oopsie". Which teeth came through? The bottom two? You can also try the Toothie wipes if the toothbrush doesn't work.

Jacadebra, those pics are so cute! Thanks for posting them. It was a lovely few hours out. Hope we get to do it again before Bronz goes back to Cape Town.

LOL@ Scribblingal... you really do have a way with words! Makes me laugh!!!

I have an announcement here before i get to replying to the rest - WE HAVE TEETH!!! 2 of them and very visible.. didn't even know they were coming!!! So there must be some truth to the teething necklace thing!

As for FLUIDS - Tayla only started drinking her diluted juice from a sippy cup after hubby drank from the sippy cup for a few days... before that she wanted our glasses! So now she is happy to drink from the sippy - usually only afternoons and somedays she drinks none, other days 75ml of juice. Tea - forget! Water - seriously forget! Although her juice is VERY diluted!!!

So - now that we have teeth - i suppose i better get a toothbrush! I'll let you all know next week how the brushing went!

Hi all...Happy friday :woohoo:

@Scribblingal: Forgot about the water!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sometimes so tired after work that I just let nanny get on with it. Bad, I know! But nanny is off for the weekend this weekend so will be sure to give the water a try tonight.

@Fluids: Elam loves juice- but not from her bottle or sippy cup. it must be in a glass and it MUST be mommy or daddy's juice. Not her own! (how does she make the distinction!!!???) So, we usually give her our juice when we eat. She has learnt to drink from a straw so we also give her the Purity juices (but she then squeezes the box and all the juice spills out by the straw onto the floor then she has a field day playing in the puddle of juice!!! )

@Tantrums: Must say we have been super lucky.Barring the throwing back of her body in protest, she doesn't do tantrums (YET).She usually is too busy figuring out what to destroy next to dwell on whatever u have taken away from her/whatever u did to irritate her. Hehehehe
