ahh thank goodness I'm not the only one experiencing the hair loss

regarding sleeping - after the morning feed at 7:30am Luke ( & I sleep as well) sleeps till his next feed at 10:30am then he is awake for between 1-2 hours between sleeps and sleeps for between 45min - 1hour, he sleeps through the night till about 7:30am.

lol@ScribblinGal - I sooooooooo understand what you mean by Emily finding her voice and learning how to screech! I made a video the other day of Connor screeching, ha ha and I said to Hein, oh my goodness, when Connor throws his first tantrum, he is going to scream the house down with that voice, right now its ever so cute though! and WOW for Emily sleeping so well last night, you must have felt like you were on holiday again!!

@Bronz - Connor smiled & laughed later than most babies, lol, clearly Hein & I are not funny enough, ha ha - Connor smiled from about 8 weeks and laughed from about 12 or so...he laughs now whenever we play with him, but Im still waiting for him to just chuckle spontaneously at everyday things & people

Zulu, if the baby has an allergic reaction symptoms can include vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain, a rash and even some blood in the baby's stools. An intolerance can cause cramps, gas and diarrhea. Do you think your little one has an intolerance?

Bronz, Emily started laughing at about 8 weeks, I think. It is very cute. She's just found her voice and has started to give little screams. It's cute at the moment but I think she has the potential to throw very loud tantrums, which is worrying!

If you're up next weekend maybe we could all hook up for brunch on Sunday or something? When is the wedding?

Emily's tummy time also isn't great. Although with Lettie she seems to be better at EVERYTHING! It's making me feel a little incompetent. I also wake up with rock-hard boobs at about 3am. Although last night they weren't too bad. I think the boobs are supposed to adjust after a few days of a new schedule (I think mine are just slowing down though).

No uterus twitching on my side of the mountain, but I would presume that it's pretty normal as things are still shifting back into position. Please don't say anything about counting days - I haven't had a proper period since I stopped bleeding after the birth.

As for that hair.... Bundle of Joy, it is driving me (and everyone else in the house) mad!!! I'm surprised I still have anything on my scalp. And because it's relatively long it's so much more noticeable. Emily seems to permanently have one wrapped around her hand.

Beansmom, Tayla sounds like a dream. She sleeps much more than Emily during the day. Perfect for you as you can get lots of business stuff done. I've been thinking about you lots and I think your retrenchment was a blessing in disguise. Because now you're home with Tayla. And she's sleeping well so you can get business stuff done. And you'll probably end up making more than you were when you were slogging it out at work!!!

Wow - suddenly our thread had a growth spurt I'm going to answer in bits as it's easier that way. Desiree, to answer your sleeping question, Emily didn't sleep during the day until yesterday when my new favourite person in the whole world started work. Yesterday she slept three times for about 45 mins at a time - and last night she slept from 7pm until about 6.30am. I don't know if it had something to do with the sleeping during the day but I'm keen to see if she keeps it up. Emily's also on a three-hour feeding schedule. I don't want to stretch it because then it means giving her more formula at one time and she gets quite crampy.

@ Bronz - not sure if there is a set age that baba's start laughing but Tayla had her first laugh last Friday and did it again on Sunday and she was 16 weeks on Friday... it is the cutest thing to hear though - hubby and i just about wet ourselves laughing at her laughing!

Sleep - during the day she gets one sleep of about 2 hours and then 1 - 1.5 hours is the next sleep - then 45 mins before her bath and dinner feed... then we get a 5-6 hour sleep, then a 4-5 hour sleep... I WISH she would sleep through but still no such luck!
