Hi there

@ScribblingAl, we are going to Jeffreys Bay for a week and then Magaliespark for another week! Can't wait anymore, we are leaving the 2nd of September...

I looked at gummigardens, it seems awesome, I would actually like for Karla to go to an afrikaans school, I did send them a mail to ask if they are bilingual... will see!

I am also going to wait with solids until Karla starts waking me up more or is about 5 and a half months!!

That page recommended starting with fruit first, but I read somewhere that that's a bad idea as they will like the sweet taste of the fruit and won't want to eat their veggies. This page has some more solids advice. Also quite informative except it says we should start them on peas and carrots!! Poor babies.

Here's a quick and easy start to solids. This page has loads of info in very little space - my kind of reading.

Pinky, where are you going on holiday?

Emily will probably be going to creche in January. I have decided to send her to Gummi Gardens - I checked them out when I was pregnant and I really liked them.

OMW

I thought i was the only one who has to wake up at 4am, my baba has bn doing that for the past 3 days.

This morning i sent my supervisor an sms that i'm not on strike just running a bit late. i couldn't wake up.

I tried to give her butternut yesterday and she enjoyed it, not sure what else to give her i'm scared of the "orangeness"

Lots of love

Bundle of Joy, I also find that Jet and Edgars clothes are smaller. Emily went through a stage of waking up at around 4am too but it didn't last too long. Now she's back to normal. Maybe it was just a bit of a growth spurt. The paed said we shouldn't start solids until at least 5 and a half months so I'm going to try hold out until then. Are you still exclusively breastfeeding? I think it's easier to keep them off porridge longer if they're having a bit of formula, so maybe the paed will recommend a bit of porridge if he's just on the breastmilk.

Has anyone started giving your baba's porridge yet?

We are taking Luke to the paed at the end of the month as he will be 5 months and we are wanting to find out if we should be introducing porridge and how to go about it etc.

For the passed few nights Luke has been waking up at around 4am, I felt like a zombie yesterday cause I was up trying to get him to sleep then eventually I just fed him and he went off to sleep, so am now wondering if he is needing to move onto some porridge?

Atleast last night he was back to normal and slept till 8am this morning, so not sure!

He has now 2 fun things he likes to do, when I put him on his playmat he rolls from his back onto his tummy and does his mini push-ups, if I put him on his back he rolls over again & holds himself for quite some time, usually watching TV (loves TV already!).
And he also loves playing with his toes so those tummy muscles must be getting stronger.

:)

PS: BRONZ - I find that woolies and (some) Ackermans clothes are bigger than say Jet and Edgars clothes, where are his clothes from that seem smaller?
