PS - not trying to be superman when i said i had no pain killers i was in zimbabwe when i gave birth and they gave me 2 panado, i would of wished for something stronger but thats all i was allowed

we went through retrenchments here last year

well chloe was 3.4kg's and 52cm, i was very happy with that weight all natural and a labor of 22hours, i am really hoping that this one will be quicker and i am planning having a epidural but havent done any reasearch on it cos i dont wanna scare myself, with chloe i had no pain killers and this time i wanna make sure i dont feel a thing LOL
my concern again is a enima, without having one, believe me ladies.... u will make a mess although they say the body does get rid of all that in labor when in labor u not allowed to go to the toilet, while i wasnt and thank goodness i had a enima cos baby didnt feel like coming out of the cookie, it felt like i was pushing through my BUM !!!!
excuse too much details but i think we need to now start talking about what labor we want and help and tips that worked for other moms out there cos ladies, soon these babies are coming and i wanna be prepared a bit.
i will be having natural again, if all goes well hence why i am speaking about enimas and pain relief, ladies plse we need to be open and speak here about this, childbirth isnt for sissies LOL

yes he was big he shocked all of us. the doctors told me to expect a smaller baby, and sho when they eventually pulled him out after being in labour from 6 in morning until 5.23 they realised why i could nt give natural birth apparently my birth canal is smaller than average and it put him under extreme distress, and i was also tired. my gynae was so shocked. but for my first baby he was definately easier to handle and i was calmer but juandre is right when she says they are mor demanding for feeds. he would feed for up to 25 mins on each breast and then still have a formula top up. he was a hungry baby and i definately had enough milk it would literally pour out. you know what i think it is betta to be carrying a huge baby than to sit and worry like i am at the moment that they are going to be small. also keep in mind that i carried full term with him. the other thing is that if doctor doesnt think you gonna handle having baby till full term he will induce or will do the csec around 37.5-38 weeks. so really dont stress , id be proud to know that i am carrying a big baby. "wear" your baby bump as though it is an award for best mom to be. and each time you start stressing just think to yourself "my baby is big, strong , and healthy and i am proud" it will make you feel betta i promise.

i know that i will be having csec so i have the advantage of doing as much research now as i can, and even though this is my 3rd baby there are alot of new things out there.

one thing that i am going to be doing by month end is buying my arnica d6 tablets for bruising and easier healing( can be used for us going in for major surgery-c sec or natural labour) i do believe that my recovery time was less due to these tablets. they are a bit expensive but well worth it. R100+ for a box. i will take 1 a day until im 34 weeks . 2 a day till 36 weeks and as you get closer you increase the dosage. on the day before you go in you take ( i spk under correction about 10) it is natural so there is no side affects. my previous gynae knew about it and didnt have a problem. so im hopeing this gynae will be fine with it too.
the only thing i need to sort out mentally is the epidural , i am so scared you wont believe( so sorry for playing same tune over and over) i plan on asking for the anaethatists details on my next visit the 31 may and going and seeing him to discuss how i minimise this anxiousness i am experiencing. i think i will feel betta once i take control of the situation.

Wow guys luks like everyone is getting big babies im going to know mines 2day but Doc said previously that its a big baby and i can feel him so heavy...

Jo- UIF- they work the percent you get on a sliding scale of between 38 - 58%. The less your earn the higher you get out. If you earn over the threshold of R12748, you can expect a max of R4500.

Bigger babies are easier to handle but they do tend to be more demanding, they will want to eat more frequently. But compared to a very small baby, big is much easier.

If you are having a c-sec: dr won't take baby out before 38 weeks. With natural, if your cervix is favourable and baby is getting very big dr might induce you.
