Vicky - shew, big baby for you. If you say prepare yourself, what (in your experiance) was different. I'm really starting to get nervous now. Wasn't nervous at all, but now, I don't know if I need to be thinking of different things for a bigger baby. Previously I always thought a bigger baby is better, as apparently they feed better, latch betterm, sleep better, but what do I need to do to prepare?!? Baba is picking up 200g a week at this stage!

Maybe I must prepare for Dr to take her out early?!?

Glad to hear everybody's doing well.

Juandre - yay will also be 33 weeks tomorrow and also seeing gynae next Wednesday at 34 weeks. At my last visit which was when i at 30 weeks baby was weighing 1.3kg's.

Guys the time is flying - i am becoming soooo scared and nervou

okay feeling a little better now.. spk to my husband apparently his name is not on the list for the one on ones.. which is a good sign.. thank god.

shame jo c- with my son from 34 weeks he picked up almost 300grms a week.. which is where he got most of his weight finishing at 4025 kgs. so you ll probally also have a baby of over 4kgs.. so prepare yourself

lol ash - i took out my first scan and baba was 9mm cant remember how many weeks though.. but ja your'e right it is amazing.

Jo- have a look on the labour website- www.labour.gov.za They have plenty on maternity UIF etc.

I think I will be leaving my client early today (maybe at about 2ish) to go home and sleep. My feet are so swollen and uncomfortable and I am so tired I can hardly function. Will just have to finish up here tomorrow.

Baby's weight - Big I know. Starting to get a little worried. But ja, at the stage of 32/33 week baby. We haven't decided on a name yet, but I've started referring to her as "big bertha", which is really cruel, but funny too me. Shame man, poor girl.

Vicky - sorry to hear about the stress you are going thru at work. Not nice. Hope all well be ok.

Ash - I didn't know that, thats so interesting.

UIF Question - anybody know if you can claim UIF if you take 3 weeks unpaid leave? or do you have to take a full months unpaid leave?

hope all are well. juandre sorrry not getting much rest.. its gets tough to sleep closer to the end... i end up laying in bed at what ever time sitting and thinking i need to do this , i need to do that but dont have the energy to get up and do it.. so just lie for what feels like eternity till eventually fall asleep.and jo- dido about the x rated thoughts but just doesnt go any further. ha ha lol. will have to see tonite.

newbie good weight too. im hopeing little one will be over 1.5kgs by the time i go on 31 may but will have to see.

im a little stressed ladies my husband and i work in the same company just different departments. his whole department was called and told there is a meeting today.. and we think it is regarding retrenchments as our company has just let another 1000-2000 ppl. so siting here not knowing what to think my stomach is in knots. the meeting only finishes at 4.00pm. My husband is the only one in the department doing what he does, so we think his job is safe. but its the uncertainty that is killing me..........................................................................................
