Annalize, I want to try and give Tyler Strawberry Puree this weekend...have a recipe for Peach, Apple and Strawberry and also one with Blueberries. Enjoying trying all the different things and Tyler eats anything I give him! Shame your poor little girl, well Tyler decided to play Freddy Kruger and Scratched a huge scratch down his cheek!

How exciting... Car shopping, let us know what you get. I also want a mommy mobiel... although i'm happy i've finally got a 4 door car after sharing a cab & half bakkie with my hubby for over a year. We had to "boer maak n plan" with the car seat for the first 6 months.
The inlaws immigrated to the UK and let us buy their car which is awesome!

I was also worried about the eating as my princess eats WAY less than what the box guidelines say (not that i follow them anyways). But i'm not too worried, cause my guy tells me she is fine. I always offer the solids first & then about an hour or so later a bottle/breast. This whole solids business is rather tricky i say...

Cherikey...lol I was just thinking flip what must the newcomers think! Promise we aren't always like this. Generally we have nice chats Your weekend sounds awesome. I work full time as a Graphic Designer so I really look forward to weekends. Nothing planned for this one, just want to relax and spend some time with Tyler.

Im far to lazy to scrapbook...my sister is into it so I give her all my photos and she does a scrapbook for me Soo its kinda like I have outsourced my hobbie

C had a strawberry for a snack yesterday and love it! So nice that he loves his food. L was (and still is) a very fussy eater. She only wanted to eat yogurt last weekend & since Monday only mac & cheese sauce (no meat)! Wonder what is going to be on her menu for the weekend. It freaks DH out totally! Luckilly she eats ok @ creche cause the other lo's is eating.

Last night DH opened the car door, didn't see L was behind him and knocked her on the forehead with the car door. Immediately a big blue bruise. This morning it turned purple & still a bit swelled, but I think the arnica gel helped. Shame my poor angel.

Just kidding, with so many woman in one "room" there are bound to be issues...

So anyways, so glad it's friday... Although i still work from home, i don't like to do personal things during the week as i should be working... So i look forward to the weekends when i can scrapbook, bake, watch DVD's, read a mag, etc, etc...

Hubby is a photographer & will be spending most of the weekend editing, so hopefully i can do some baking. I scrapbooked last weekend (he was away on a photoshoot) so this weekend i want to make some biscotti!

Hellooooo everyone!

I was so fed up with the whole not eating thing, that I took Zani to the pead this morning. Just to get some peace of mind. It’s easy to say to yourself that you should not worry about it and that she will eat if she is hungry, but you still worry….ALOT!! I think it is a mommy thing 

Anyway, the pead sommer did a whole exam on her and I’m happy to report that my little girl is very healthy and growing nicely! She weighs a whole 7.5kg and is 74cm long and her head circumference is 43cm. He said that she is filling up on milk and then she is not hungry for any solids, so to rectify that we should first offer the solids and then the milk. We were giving her her milkies and then waiting a while and then offering her solids. And he said the teething will also affect her eating solids as her mouth will be sore and the texture of the food will be strange. All made sense…..so we’ll see. Feeling much better about the whole thing now.

They also did a urine test and it was so funny! They sent us to the labs to have a urine bag attached and they were still explaining to me how to attach the bag as I’ll have to do it at home because they always struggle with girls to get them to wee in the bag and Zani just let rip with the largest wee in human history! They were jumping around looking for the little bottle to collect the wee in and she was just lying there laughing at them. Sooooo funny!! At least now we won’t have to go back and give them a sample. Clever baba!!

Oh, my mom just phoned and Zani ate all her sweet potato and lentils as well as her fruit (apricots, apples and pear)!!! How can you get so excited about one little girl eating veggies and fruit!! I feel like crying I’m so relieved, hopefully it will only get better from now on.

Elsa – funny with the cat attach!! Wonder what went through the little girl’s mind when this black thing launched at her!! Ha ha ha ha

We are going car shopping over the weekend as hubby’s car got stolen about a month ago. Just can’t keep going on like this with one car. He is going to take my Polo and then I’m going to get a mommy mobile! We are looking at the Hyundai ix34, Kia Sportage or the Chevrolet Captiva. Sooo excited!!

Chat again later, but must get some work done. I think that is what they pay me to do!!

Ari, I don't think anybody is ignoring you, some may just tread carefully around you. Nobody, you included, commented on my post today, are they ignoring me or just don't have anything to say? Please don't take this personally. I'm sure no one is looking down on you or are trying to make you feel worthless. All of us have our own opinions and if I don't like want some one is saying it is sometimes better to just ignore the comment than to comment and cause a cat fight. And just to add, not all of the moms on here is rich and can afford all the luxuries, this does not mean the those who can afford nice stuff have to keep quite about what they bought. We would all like to give our babies nice stuff, but they don't need all the toys and crazy goods out there. Most important as you say, your babies are healthy and happy and you are doing the best you can. You are the best mom you can be and they love you for that.
