This is Ethan's mealplan:

6am - Milk
8am - breakfast - cereal
10am - milk
12pm - lunch
1pm - Milk
3pm - tea/water/ juice
6pm - supper
06:30 - milk
8pm - bedtime

He drinks about 100ml of milk at 2am but thats just to fall asleep which I really want to break now. I haven't given the yoghurt as yet but will try now and he likes his fruit especially apples. I got him Maize meal porridge last month as well but my aunt ( she looks after him during the day) says it needs one cup of formula milk to make and because Ethan only eats about 5 spoons of porridge its a bit of a waste for now so we'll try that again when he's about 8 months old.

She did not like the Munchkin cup at all. I think it's because you have to kind of bite down on the teat before anything comes out? I bought her the Nuk learner sippy cup and she loves that one. Finally, after more than R500 and three sippy cups later we have a winner!

Christelle, i would say dont bring in more juice or tea, maybe try and spread the 120ml she is getting over the whole day?? And dont take away milk, rather leave the snack! They dont need to snack at this age. They are so small and already getting milk and 3 meals a day, that is more than enough.

Leandi also drinks about 120ml of tea mixed with juice. And she drinks sips after her breakfast and lunch and sometimes i give her the cup on our way home.

How does Zani like her cup?

Im sure you can give her a yogurt as a snack, its not too filling? I often mix the olli fruit with yogurt, thats also a favourite!

Like i said, Leandi doesnt get a snack every day, but when i do give her a snack i prefer to give her something she can hold herself. Most of the time its at 4 in the afternoon when im trying to throw supper together and i want her to keep herself busy.

We are in such a set routine she gets very mislik when its 5:30 and she hasnt had her supper yet, not even to talk about bath time. And as soon as you start undressing her all is forgotten and she is silly again, kicking and rolling. Loves her bath!!

Going to get a car seat tomorrow and also have the registration thingie to go to for lg swimming lessons.

I see where we were going wrong! Zani’s schedule is like this:
08h00 150ml breastmilk
10h00 Breakfast (Cerelac cereal)
11h00 120ml rooibos tea
12h00 250ml Formula milk
14h00 Lunch (veggies+protein and fruit)
16h00 150ml breastmilk
18h00 Dinner (veggies+protein and fruit)
19h00 Bath time
20h00 Breastfeed

I think she is getting too much milk. Maybe I should eliminate one milk bottle during the day??? And then bring in some snacks and maybe juice along with her rooibos tea?

Glad to see that everyone hasn't gone to sleep on a Friday afternoon!! So Bored...still a long time to go until 4:00!

Tyler has pretty much the same routine as Leandi, except he has fruit for lunch and then Veggies and Protein for Dinner. I haven't given him any snacks and haven't tried giving him yogurt yet.
