I started leah on solids at 12 weeks. Pead suggested it as colic was getting worse. She handled it find and doesn't eat mashed food at all. She eats rice, spaghetti chopped up, veg mashed just with a fork, nice, give her a while peeled apple etc. Seth also started solids early. He was 9 weeks old.

Thanks Ladies, that really helped me a lot. Now I can rest assured that I don't need to take the bottle away. I was just thinking that maybe because most babies drop their 2am feeds that I'm doing something wrong. Okay so will keep giving the bottie until he drops it.

Ethan weighed 9.2 at his last weigh in which was last month so now I'm convinced my little boy is a buffel.

Well ladies, I'm off. I'm lekker weekend off and will be enjoying my weekend away from the hotel guests.

Cherikey, Apparently its fine to give them yogurt from 6 months. Some of the other Moms on here do. I haven't given Tyler any yet...because Im a little more cautious because Im scared of Allergies (Paranoid First Time Mommie)

Cheese I read is from about 8 months, yet some of the recipes I have for 6 months have cheese in...so it all seems a bit blurred.

I havent tried feeding Tyler what I eat yet..so I think one of the other moms will have to explain...hehe! Im sure veggies with no salt mooshed up will be good!

YEAH I also dont agree to letting them Cry because they dont need the Night bottles! Just seems cruel. I also read on another post, someone suggested you keep making the formula weaker than should be..until eventually its just water. Wes says that is ssooo sooo bad! he asked the scientists at work they said never make the Formula stronger or weaker babies can get so sick.

Ladies, i thought our LO couldn't have dairy until they were a year old??? Does yoghurt not count? and when you say you give them Mac & cheese? Can they have cheese at 7 months? and when you say they have what you have at dinner how does that work?

We're having steak, egg & chips for dinner & maybe butternut if i feel up to it... What of that can i give tori?

Our daily menu is as follows:

6:30 breastfeed - no idea how much
8:30 snack on an apple while mommy has brekkie
10:00 cerelac - about 2 tablespoons of powder
11:30 formula - about 100ml
13:30 purity mixed with homemade fruit or veg
15:30 formula/breastmilk
17:30 a bit of breastmilk
19:30 formula - about 150ml

Not sure what tori is weighing now, but was about 6.2 a month ago.

Leandi also has a bottle at 3am but im really over it. Just going to give it to her untill she doesnt need it anymore. if you read on the formula tin it indicates they need about 4 x 240ml bottles so if i take that one away she will have only 3 bottles a day??

Not that im a go by the book kinda mom but im not going to let my child scream her pretty little head off or cry herself to sleep. i personally think its cruel!!

So no more complaining from me in that department What i will do, when its warmer i wont be giving any of her milk warm anymore. I will just make sure its room temp. But for now i warm the 3am bottle up, coz its quite chilly that time of night and a warm tummy sleeps sounder. Thats just my thought. All of her bottles during the day are already at room temp.

Going home now, worked hard enough for one blerrie day!!

ethansmom, Tyler also still has bottles at night....he usually wakes up at 12 and has a 250ml Bottle and then at 3 has a 150ml Bottle. I gonna wait for him to decide to drop it on his own.
