We end up paying R500-R700 for electricity and R200-R300 for water every month! We have paid that for 12 months! Now she is moaning because I ask her to pay R250 towards electricity this month! And her increase in rent is in the lease R900 she should learn to read!

I guess we are going to have to see about the notice, I don't think I am quite ready to move back.

Why dont you give her notice and find another tennant? its not fair on you to be leniant and then she lives nicely in your house and you have to fork out money for the electricity! And its not like its a cheap expence! I will still let the water slide but elextricity ... no ways! We had the same problem with our house that another single mom with 2 kids were renting and same thing! She couldnt pay rent one month and we used her deposit and then she still actually owes us electricity money (R4000) but we cant find her anywhere so we just left it! She moved out without saying and no one knows where she is. We saw that there were no curtains there when we drove by... So we also moved back there and still staying there!

Juanita, thats my concern too! I dont know how she has been paying me these last few months, because she was already retrenched 3 months ago! I know she has a ex husband and 2 kids and gets child and spousal support from him.

But still, end of the day I can't say aaaag shame dont pay me the extra money this month and dont worry about the electricity! And if she has no guy there anymore Im starting to worry what what my pool and garden look like!

Ladies looks like I might be moving back sooner than expected...but now Im sad, I like my mom looking after Tyler

Just had a Disagreement with my Tenant and she just told me she is not a Money Machine who can keep out pumping out money and gave me some sob story about her BF leaving her and her Being retrenched! And like this is all my fault now! She told me she cant afford the rent increase or the Electricity!

I replied nicely to her and didnt lose my temper, but honestly how nice can I be to her, end of the day she is my tenant and she needs to pay. Im worried if Im too nice, she is going to start taking advantage.

My mom feeds Zani in this chair - look at what she has to deal with (lol!!!) If it's not this, then she plays with her feet!
