Morning everyone. Sorry I was MIA AGAIN!

Phew so much to tell you guys.

Hubby went to the Urologist two weeks ago. Turned out that he has a narrowing of the bladder valve, this causes his flow of urine to be less which means that the chances for infection are higher which is causing him to have chronic prostatitis.

Well we know that if DH has an infection in his Prostrate the chances of conceiving are really low and chances of misscarriage really high, so doctor booked him in on Wednesday and they basically did a scope and then injected Antibiotics directly into his Prostrate - ouch. He is also on a course of heavy antibiotics to flush out the infection.

This makes sense because the last time we fell preggy he was on heavy antibiotics.

He has to wait a month and go back for a follow up visit. So hold thumbs that this gives us our window of him not having an infection to fall pregnant.

At least we have a POA! YAY!

Sorry didn't catch up on everyones news. Just been really insane here again.

:S

Esmari - you have so popped :) cute man. scary about your SIL - they sound like a very strong couple.

Klk - shame man poor lil Connor, so glad he is getting better.

Debbie - shoo its quite wishy washy what he said. He is very correct about the 25%, but is that all he said?. What I can tell you is that I was chatting to my gynae on friday and she said the new consensus is not to wait to TTC anymore so when you are ready emotionally go for it.

Lucy - i posted pics on April thread :)

AFM: Friday scan he is measuring 1.75 kg's so about 450g ahead - shoo scary. so we are under the impression it will be mid April for sure - so only 2 months left - wow wee.

Have a good week all.

Morning ladies.

Klk, I am so glad that C is getting better! It always feels like my life stands still when they are sick! I hate seeing them suffer! Especially when they are little and can't tell you where it hurts.

Jay, I am gonna save on petrol! I have a 'over the road' neighbour that also drives to school every day.(twice a day, 6km per drive.) I think she is the grandma, don't know where the mom is. The lg spoke about her dad coming to visit. Anyway, we have been talking about helping out with the driving, and she is taking Jaco every morning, cause she has to get the paper for her dh, and then I can fetch in the afternoons. Saving time and money!

Laundry day......

Afternoon ladies.

DebbieF, I don't like your doctor!!!!! He HAS give you answers!!!!

Klk, how is Connor now?

Halo everyone else.

RE my sil. They are taking it great, and relying on their faith. They also decided to not do further testing, and just trust in God. I am so proud of them for the way they are handling it!

Ladies, I have suddenly popped out over the weekend. Wonder if it has something to do with the "pain" I had...... Here is a photo I thought I'd share. Hope you don't mind..... ;)

Have a lovely sunday evening!

Klk - There are a lot of different ways to have an allergic reaction but the most common are breathing difficulties and rash. Some people it is like big red hives, other a finer flatter rash. I personally look badly sunburnt, even my armpits!! Which penicillin is he on and how long for already? If it is so deep (the infection) he may need something that is better at penetrating the sinuses. If still bad after 4/5 days on the AB I would take him back to the dr. What is making you suspect an allergy? Not sure how much I'll be on M this weekend as my friend arrives just now, so maybe sms.

Esmari - Thinking of your SIL

Debbie - I am a scientist/chemist by training and I am also an answers and solution type of person. The whole winging it thing didn't sit well with me. How I coped with this is I turned my self into a bit of a science experiment ....... fertility microscopes, temping etc etc. It helped initially but eventually I found that stressful too. I ended up getting help to get my BFP after 8 cycles and it worked first time.
I also kept swinging to and fro as to whether I should change gynaes or not. I eventually stuck with the same guy and I am happy with him. (But I also think I would have been happy with someone else) Just that was my path. Good luck with all the decisions.

Shame Esmari, how very scary. Are they going to do an Amnio? There is a thread here on Moomie www.moomie.co.za/forum/5-your-baby/144516-trisomy-babies.html one of the moms little boy has Edwards Syndrome.

If I were your SIL, I would demand an Amnio but that is just my opinion.

Thanks Lucy, I will still be checking his temp every 4 hours. I have been dosing him the whole day with Panado syrup. I didnt want his temp to spike then try and battle it down. His cough has got loads worse and his nose loads more snotty so I have no idea what is happening. Surely he should be getting better and not worse? Tell me, if a child was allergic to Penicillin what would the reactions be?
