JoDon,

Good idea to stick around, these ladies know exactly what you have been through and are very very very supportive.

Glad to hear that you are really positive, we all deal with things in different ways, I know I was doing fine until a colleague brought her new baby to the office and then I hit a wobbly. It will sneak up on you at the strangest times but when it does you can hop on line and rant about it because we have all been there! :-)

Sjoe, how tired am I now. Spring cleaned my kitchen. Started before 9, and only just finished. Of course, now I have to clean the living room and dining, cause kids made a mess in there.

Hi JoDon. Sory to hear about you mc. I had a d&c tomorow 4 weeks ago, and got my af today. (day 28) It looks like normal period with no xtra pain. I had a bo, and my meds to induce mc did not work and I ended up with d&c 4w after that. So 6w worth of on and off bleeding.

I also had a mc in Jan, and fell pregnant in my 2nd normal cycle. My ob said new research shows you dont have to wait. Please note that my 2nd mc had nothing to do with the 1st. It was just the exception, and not the rule. So unless your doc told you to wait, you can ttc immediatly. We decided for emotional and financial reasons to put off ttc till december. The 2 mc put a strain on our relationship, and I need to work on that first. (and get back onto a medical aid.

Thanx Sued! Think I will stick around here (hopefully not too long! LOL!). I used to have a perfect 28day cycle so I hope it sorts itself out quickly!! Me and DH had a talk and decided to wait 2/3 months just to get my body back on track and I was just scared that it might be too short! But you put my mind at ease! I think one will always be paranoid after something like this happens but I've accepted the MC and know that its not in our hands and everything will happen when the time is right!

Another thing that worries me: I am not as devastated as I thought I would be!! Maybe its just cos ppl expect you to be floored by something like this but I'm not! I'm actually quite positive! HAd my 2 days of being emotional and a little bit sad as I woke up after the D&C but I feel life goes on! Positive thoughts = Positive results!!

Sorry another looong post!!

JoDon once again i'm so sorry for your loss but you've come to the right place.

We've all been through what you're going through and these ladies are wonderful support.

After my first missed MC at 9 weeks I had a D&C and got my AF 4 weeks later. 5 months I fell pregnant again but this time it was a blighted ovum so I had to have another D&C. After that one my AF started 4 weeks later again. We then took a few months off to recover emotionally and physically and started trying again from Jan this year. I found out in April that I was pregnant again and so far so good. Touch wood.

My gynae always told me to wait until after my first AF and then to start trying after that. You will know when your body and mind are ready to try again.

Hi JoDon,

Welcome, sorry you are joining our forum because of what you have been through!

We have all varied in recovering from Our MC's. Normal AF can happen any time between 2 - 6weeks or sometimes longer after your D&C. Mine was about three weeks and then gradually worked its way up to 28 days with each cycle.

Most of us have tried straight away after the bleeding from the D&C stopped to fall pregnant again, your body will know when its ready.

Some have waited a month to recover. Some have been lucky and have managed to fall pregnant straight away without AF even arriving and have carried full term and no longer visit the Forum, others have been trying for a few months, again it all depends on your body and when its ready.

I am sure the other ladies will share their experiences when they are back on line. I am still trying to conceive after my MC in December. I experienced a chemical pregnancy two months ago which is a good sign that my body wants to fall pregnant again - It just has to be the right Sperm and Egg!!
