Pregnancy after D&C

So sory to hear about your loss h-buzz. And you have the right to be upset! Your body, your loss. Guess we are going throught it together. You can be lucky that your body did it all on its own. My body didnt realise that there was no baby, until the day after my first scan and I started cramping and spotting. I am still waiting for the sack to pass. Just blood and small clots. Not that there is much to come out, the ob said the sac is very small, not even 1cm.

About trying again. With my mc in Jan he told me there is no medical reason to wait, and we can try again whenever we are ready. I think they ask you to wait after a d&c, because it thins everything out a lot. I got my first period after 5w, then had a 29d cycle, and fell pregnant in next cycle. Before my mc my cycle was between 29d, and once even 34.

Thanks everyone for the support. Dh is going to phone doc to get more pain meds. The cytotec did not make it this painful last time, but then again, last time there was just some tissue left. We have no medical aid(fell pregnant moving to another), so did not ask for d&c, doc said I dont need one, as there is not much to get out. (I am about 8w now, but was 7w4d with scan)

My cycles didn't return to normal straight away. They were weird for a few months after both D&C's but I did ovulate during my cycles.

It is safe to try again - my gynae always told me to wait one normal cycle of AF and then to try again.

You are right about time healing - it does get better with each passing day. Don't give up hope!

Hello ladies, sorry ive been such a stranger, but still have not loaded any airtime, so still using my cellphone, and at R2.00 per meg im freaking out! Money is so tight, we keep spending this and that on baba and the visits to the doc! eeek Always sneak a peak to check up on you all, like family to me now so cant stay away too long!

Sal, jelly ditto on the uncomfortable!!! Sometime i think im really going to miss my belly, but not at 3am in the morning when ive just come back from the loo for the 7th time and i cant get comfy to get back to sleep!

Esmari the cytotec is evil i tell you! big hugs for being so strong to use it. I know the pain is terrible and even if you know the baby is not there it does feel like a betrayal. Will be thinking of you, again big hugs, hope your dh is spoiling you.

AFM 12 DAYS UNTIL MY DUE DATE! Im now getting nervous. oh and got my pics back this week so i should have them on soon, do you paste pictures on here the same as pampers??? Seeing the doctor tomorrow, woohoo, cant wait to see how my little bear has grown.

BTW who here has a black berry? my uprade is due and considering getting one.......any advice on the topic???

Hi girls, i have contemplated so much before writing in this post.. I have been following this post for the past month,did write in once or twice but just didnt follow thru..
Esmari im so sorry to hear about ur loss, i can only imagine wat ur going thru..
I also have two boys both normal preg with out any probs.Started TTC for third one this year jan n came off the pill. Got my BFP on the 23//2010,was ecstatic did another few hpt n all were positive albeit a bit feingt.. i should have picked tht something wasent right..but it didnt even cross my mind tht something would be wrong.went to the GP AT 4WKS/5DAYS and he said all looked well.. Sat afternoon when i went toilet found a brownish discharge n then when i seen it almost looked like red blood. just tried to calm down but by sunday looked like my AF were gonna START..PH the gynea drove 3hours to see her she did a scan n found nothing.. said it was either ectopic.. missed already or too small to be picked up.. went for bloods and yest the bloods levels were 19!!!!!!!!! The worst part for me is i had no pain no cramping watsoever!! 3days later im bleeding but its not even that heavy,, spoke to the gyne n she says body is doing its own thing n no need to do a DNC... I AM devastated have been crying non-stop since sunday only thing tht keeps me gng is looking at my 2boys..

ChanM I M sure everything will workout for you this time i can only imagine ur stress levels but leave ur faith in GOD AND PRAY. He only tests those that he loves..
Esmari and ChanM did ur guys cycle return back to ur usual cycle length and ovulation straight away after the MC and is it okay to try again straight away?? i am so confused?? My gyne said it should be ok to try straightway..
