It must be a huge weight off your mind - I am glad you have that sorted, and can now enjoy the weekend with one less stress. Yay!

I have a letter from my pdoc to say I am insane, so tread lightly with me, some days I can be a total bitch. I'm lying. Most days I am a total bitch.

You must definitely talk to her about the type of birth you want. Some gynaes are pro-caesar and will automatically try and get you to have a caesar even if there is not medical reason why you need one. Other gynae's are pro-natural and prefer to wait and see if you can go natural and only do caesars for emergencies. Still other gynae's go with whatever you want.

You must definitely speak to her about your options and get a clear picture of exactly how she foresee's the birth and decide if that is in fact how you were hoping to go. You must also definitely tell her what type of birth you are hoping for and be assured that she will support you in that.

Oh my goodness yes!!!
Ask, ask, and ask again!
If you don't want an epidural, say so. If you only want pain relief offered when you ask for it - say so.
You really should be trying to put together a birth plan.
Remember, she is still human and should have your best intentions at heart!
Write a list of questions and concerns down now, take it with you, if you are too shy to ask, give her the list!
This is a huge event in your life, you need to take control of the way you want it to be.
