Cath- your birthing experience sounds fantastic. And your recovery marvelous. You sound like a natural Mom, and oh so patient. I was soo finicky with germs etc which Matthew. Feel a bit silly about it now, but I'm sure I will be the. Same with the new bat. Everytime some one carried him I watched them like a hawk. It especially irritated me when someone wanted to hold my precious cargo and proceeded to drink hot tea. Anyhow let's hope I am more relaxed this time around.

Wow Joli- look at Callum- too beautiful!

On the c- section. My feet also swelled up and I had those pains from the air getting into my tummy. But no phsio- it took a while for me to recover, and your right cath - I think a lot of it was from the trauma of having to have a sudden c- section. Although I still would have used the same surgeon had I had a planned c - section.

Karin - so pleased everything is still well and the dr is happy. Not too long for you now and you too will be holding your precious baby in your arms.

Lol- meags, can just picture you being peeved re being overdue. I don't think you will though. I was 2 days late with M. It is so annoying when you are at your due date and there is no baby. But, for me I like the idea of baby staying in as long as she needs to.

How are you coping with DH gone?
A friend of mine had triplets a few weeks ago. She already has 2 other children, so now she has 5. They are still in the hospital. It must be so draining for her....

Kimika- when M's stump fell off I also was not sure what to do with it and yes it did feel strange to throw it away.

Had a hormonal flare up last night. And poor DH got the brunt of it- shame.......it must take a lot of patience to hang out with us pregnant ladies. Anyhow I did apologize after having my moment....

Karin, thanks for the tip ;) I really have to do that.. last night I used 4 nappies in a row! Every time I would wait and think he is done.. and just as I would put the new one under him he would poo again! Its crazy!!! I think the feeling of freedom down there and a bit of fresh air is just enough to trigger his gut :) He has only peed on my twice, where my first little guy did that at every nappy! Ag so cute that yours is also Reuben.. Im really growing very fondly to this name.. was doubtful but now I just love it!

Cath, glad you are home and that all is going so well! Seems like you are doing soooo well and that is just great! Yip newborns are magical arent they ;) I must say, my first littel guy was much harder.. This time around (sofar) I can say I like newborn stage :) Your hubby sounds just like mine.. super cautious of loud noises, germs etc :) So protective!

Joli, ag man stoppit!!!!! I cant believe how cute Callum is.. those lips are too much! Dont you feel like kissing your boy all day long? I was kissing Reuben earlier and he turned his head towards me and it felt like he was kissing me back.. gotta loooove it :) I think you must let me know what days you have open, even if its in the week, hubby must maar just take off from work. I understand now why you want to do it early.. they really need to be all squishy :) I was wondering this morning about the shoot.. hope he doesnt poo all the time!!

Karin, well at least its good news that you dont have a UTI brewing :) I think its great that your gynae wants to wait to take baby out! He sounds great! So Im going to say enjoy your weekend and rest a lot, just incase its your last weekend before baby ;)

Meags, thanks for the tip on the shooting poo.. Ill have to make a note that Im not squishing him ;) Youre def not a bad wife for voicing your feelings and concerns!! He could have spoken up long ago. But atleast now you can work on things from here on, much easier to work on problems now that you actually know its there :)

My BH also got less for a while, and then got worse ;) Ill be holding thumbs that once hubby is back from Germany your little Matt will be anxious to meet his mommy and daddy!!! FX

Oh my word.. I just wanna stare at my baby's belly button!! Its sooo cute :) By the time Pieter's cord stump fell off he was a big baby already so this is a total new thing for me! And then I was walking to the dustbin with the little stump and then just before throwing it in I had to stop.. I couldnt throw it away!???? Is that weird??? So I was thinking maybe its because it was the last real thing that kept us together after he was born .. thats so silly :silly:

JOli Callum is looking too beautiful I LOVE his mouth!! What a handsome little boy!

Meags you are too cute how you love babies LOL! :) Thinking of you with this hard time with dh's work etc. I think you've been a patient and lovely wife, no one can or should be perfect all the time!

Whatever is decided - stay move or whatever I know it will be for the best and you and your new little family will deal with it and cope with it! How cool that you work in the field that you are truly passionate about!!!

oh my goodness Karin! hehe.
Well if you make it another 10 days - I will be really surprised!!!!!
and that means there is NO hope of my baby coming early if all your signs dont bring on labour soon then my signs are really and truly nothing.

Hope you have a good weekend! It may be the last as pregnant!! you never know!!

Jessica - enjoy your last weekend!

I cant believe next week we get Jessica and Tazzy's babies and then a few days later we get Karin's!!!!!!
and then it's most likely between Faw, myself and Anje - and I am putting my money on Faw since she's already having some contractions.
I really worry I am going to be the mom who goes way past due date  I will be SO annoyed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've been meaning to say - I had so many BH around 18-20 weeks. like sometimes more than 10 per day.
Now I dunno if I'm just use to them and don't really notice them anymore...but I don't think I have that many now?! They better not be tapering off....
