Jessica, its so soon now! Good on you for being as "restful" as you can, wont be able to do that for much longer so make the most of it :)

Lucy, I promise you'll sleep better - I actually just dream about being able to sleep on my tummy again! And do my dancing, and go for a run! Sad hey. I always feel so guilty not to be happy all the time about this cause of how so many women struggle to fall pg, and esp in the industry I'm in I see it on a first hand basis, but I'm just tired now.

Rakker, what a lovely beach ball! ;) Looking good!

Meags, I really hope your midwife can help out with the rib pain. Also just keep your legs shut till dh comes home ;)

Well its like 20min to 2am and guess what I'm wide awake! Guess its great practice for when spec arrives. I dont even want to watch tv now cause I dont want to wake Mat and Em. And still need to buy a light for my kindle. So I'm just playing around on my laptop, paying accounts and ya, I guess chatting to myself ;)

Hope everyone has a great day today - thankfully its friday, even though i've got a very busy week-end ahead :)

wow Rakker nice belly!!!!! amazing how different it looks from the side than from the front!

EmsMom - nope...I have no one staying with me while DH is away. One of his colleagues lives in our street. So they are my back up in case I go into labour. Great that there is "someone" but they are french and his wife's english is really quite poor!! so I will be devastated if it happens while he's away.

Faw so glad you had the day off. Please come post as soon as you are back from your appointment tomorrow

Jessica so few days left for you!!!!! Thats the one thing that is so nice about a c-section - you can actually count how many days are left!

MistyMom, Schatsie, Kimika - how are you ladies?

Lucy - you dont know when your in laws are leaving???????? my goodness! you need to know a date at least!!
I am with you - I cant wait for Matt to be born so I can sleep. Everyone says 'rest now' 'sleep well you can'. well I cant sleep cos he's hurting me!!! so even if I only get 90 minutes of sleep between his feeds, it's a hell of a lot more than I'm getting now!!!!!

So I met those moms today and oh my word I didnt know how broody I was until I saw all their babies! I mean, I love babies and yes I am excited, but after seeing their babies I am DESPERATE for Matt to come!!! Aw they were all so cute and precious! The moms were really nice too. So friendly, chatty etc. But it seems they sort of all have their friends already so no one seems to be looking to add friends!! I only got one mommy's number (she is from Sweden) otherwise the other moms just said "ok see you at the next meet maybe, otherwise good luck!" was a bit weird?! they meet once a month.
At least I have found about 8 of those moms groups so even if they each only meet once per month, it gives me about 2 outings a week which would be perfect. There is another meet tomorrow with another group but I'm not going to go. It's at 9:30am and I am just going to lie in bed as long as possible tomorrow morning. (even as uncomfortable as it is) as even drifting to sleep for 15 minutes already makes me feel more rested!

I was exceptionally sore again today. I am struggling to drive longer than 10 minutes now without feeling this urgent need to bawl my eyes out cos if the back and rib pain  I feel like such a sissy :P I have no idea how I am going to drive over an hour to the midwife on Tuesday. Eek!
Plus everytime Matt moved I got really sharp sore pains like period pains so I really think he's engaged. I tried to palpate myself (this still fascinates me that a midwife can palpate SO easily on someone else, but on yourself - well it's another story!!) He feels engaged to me. his head feels 'stuck' in the pelvis which means he should be at least 2/5 or 3/5 engaged now. But I will ask the midwife what she thinks - she'll probably say he's not engaged at all :p

Cant believe DH is going to Germany tomorrow :( He said I must pick him up from work and take him straight to the airport - but I asked him to please come home for a little bit instead....

My 30 week milestone pics B)

From the side I don't look as huge as I feel :P :

From the front, though, I do look as huge as I feel. Heck, that's one big beach ball I have there:

Kimika - What an amazing and awesome birth story. I am so pleased and happy for you. What an fabulous Mommy!

Emsmom - I am like you not a natural glowing preggy belly. I have been doing karate up to this month but just have no balance or coords left and had to give it up and I miss it!
I am uncomfortable and sore and battling with my back, I haven't slept in months. Finally it seems the sister lillian rescue has helped the most but it is still not much. DH and I decided I would probably sleep better once Tessa is here, I hope so !!

Anje - I take my hat off to you and really am jealous that you are cruising and loving the 3rd trimester. I have respect because this is super hard.

Meags - That was so sweet that you miss me!! I must be honest that it is horrible not getting my daily "fix" The inlaws are sapping the last bit of reserves I have left. I wish they would let me know when they are planning on leaving at least.
I am sorry about your rib pain and I hope your MW does have a magic solution for you! Do you get breathless with it? I am breathless all the time, sometimes I have to fight not to panic .... I am claustrophobic at the best of times. It sounds like DH is paying you more attention which is great.

Has anyone else noticed that their belly buttons are off to one side? I am also getting loads of skin tags and some of them are growing massive - gross!!

Jessica and Tazzy - I am so excited (and jealous) for you ladies. I hope you manage to get everything done that you'd like to and relax and enjoy your births and about to be born baba's!!

Sorry for commenting on so few ......... I am bushwhacked and am going to sneak to bed soon. Not even going to make desperate house wives!!

hi everyone

Just popping in quick to say HELLO before I go back to lazing on the couch! I've been utterly & completely lazy the last few days - literally only doing the essentials - LOL even unpacking & repacking the dishwasher is too much effort right now!

So it would seem that I'm next on the popping list....funny thinking back now how quickly this pregnancy has actually gone from when I first came to this group a good few months ago...... and 4 days from now it's going to be all over      weird really!

Here's a pic of the blanky you can use in a carseat as well - you can also use it for swaddling for sleeping time.

I worked until I went into labour with Kayla - but at least went into labour at night and not at work. When I left on 7 August I still worked overtime and then when I walk out the office - I told everyone - hope all is done because I'm having my baby tonight and sure she was born that night. With Megan I went on leave 2 weeks before as it was December (she was born on 31 Dec) and with Callum I went into labour at work (but that wasn't the plan!)

Faw, glad you got the day off, hope you feel more relaxed now.

Betty, I worked till the last with Em - literally I went into labour the day I went on maternity leave, and I plan on working till I go into labour this time as well.

Anje, its so funny I HATE people touching my tummy - with Em strangers used to come and touch me in the shops and I flipped. I have close family and friends I allow to touch and most of them know well enough to ask me first, or to wait till I take their hand and put it on my tummy. Dont get me wrong I do love being pregnant, the movements of the baby are like heaven. But I dont see myself wanting it again. The thing I'm looking most forward to now it breastfeeding, that feeling of love and bonding far out-weighed the feeling of being pregnant for me :)

Meags I really hope you get some relief soon from the rib pain. Do you have anyone staying with you while DH is gone? What will happen if you do go into labour?

I'm loving the cooler weather now, wish it could stay like this and get even cooler, but I know we're in for a few more hot hot days.

Oh my little sister arrives in exactly 3 weeks!! I cannot wait to see her again!
