Sjoe so we are welcoming 2 babies def next week and Karin it sounds like your baby might come today!

Tazzy - re the house cleaning - a day before I went into labour with Megan I had this urge to clean the bathroom. I packed everything out and then scrubbed the walls with sugarsoap - used a toothbrush between the tiles :-). Nope I only started with photography after Megan was born.

Well I count myself lucky. I've never had difficult babies, even Callum is really easy, but I've had the same rule with all my kids. Night time I never swithced the light on (only a small light so I can see what I'm doing). I never talk to them or play. If they wake up, it's just a feed and only change a dirty nappy and then back to sleep. Megan's been a hectic toddler - lots of tantrums!

Gotto go - Callum is hungry :-) - chat later and enjoy your weekend.

Morning ladies,

Not doing personals today, sorry, feeling like crap.
Hardly slept at all, was up since 1h15 this morning and tummy has been going a few times and had very sore period like pains and back ache... really wondered if today will be the day... But the pain subsided around 4h00 again and I slept for an hour or so until my tummy woke me again. Went back to bed, slept for another hour and then I was awake again. Sitting here and not feeling so well, tummy is crampy and a bit of back ache too. Now I'm not sure if its just my body rebelling against the lack of sleep and fatigue thats actually more the culprit. I havn't had a show, nothing like that, just feeling off and sore.
Luckily my gynea appointment is at 15h00 this afternoon, so he'll check if all is okay at least.
Kiana's been seriously active as well during the whole sleepless period from 1h15, wow, she really moved a lot and for very long. So she at least is okay, hehe.
Anyways, need to finish month end stuff and have salaries to pay. Hope everyone else is doing well!
Have a nice day.

Hello again.
I am done here at the hospital. All they have managed to do is upset me. They say im not 36 weeks and 5 days and now im only 35 weeks and all they did was change my expected due date and say im due on the 7th of april. Baby weighs 2.31kg now. I told them about the contractions of wednesday night and tell me not to worry about it as baby's head isn't engaged yet.. Still at 4/5ths. I asked them for the hospital list but im told they don't have it in english, when i ask for it in afrikaans they tell me what i need verbally instead. So ill just leave my bags packed as they are, rather too much than making everyone run up and down..we live about 30km from the hospital.
Anyway ill try take it easy again today. Gonna go to a friend now and ask her for a bed to sleep on and will go home later. If i go home now i won't get any peace.

Jessica - wow you've got a big baba tucked inside. Are you excited/nervous for tuesday? I'm a bit on the anxious side, but I know it will be fine!

Meags - gosh I hope Matt stays cozy for the next week while DH is away. I wish I could say let me know if you need anything, but you're on the other side of the world. But I'm always here to chat, and on bbm anytime!

Faw - I hope you taking the time to sit down and breathe for awhile. Gosh your ex dh is really trying to fool you. Don't fall for it!

Betty - I'm also awake all hours of the morning. I sleep well til about midnight and then wide awake. But I don't get out of bed, just lie there and 'day dream'

Joli - callum is too precious. You must really enjoy taking photos of him. Were you specailising in photography when you had your girls too?

Afm - freak!!! I can't believe this is my last weekend of being preg! I'm so nervous for wednesday. I wonder if I'll even be able to sleep on tues night. We have to be at the hospital at 5am. And no eating or drinking from midnight.
I have definately had some stronger bh lately and loads of cm (sorry tmi) so I think my body is preparing for birth. I had a strong urge to nest yesterday too!! I was cleaning up my house til late last night. :)

Morning ladies.
Read my husbands 2nd love letter last night and sat chatting to my mom about it. We both decided he can't change so quick. Also what the marriage dude said and what my husband said doesn't add up. We decided that he has to go to a proper drug rehab and do the 12 steps and go for anger management as well as go to na (narcotics anon) for 90 days. But even after all that i don't want him back. Lol. My brother was a tik addict and a drug dealer for close on two years and was in pallsmoor so when it comes to drug addicts i know all about it.
Anyway i am at the hospital for my check up. Feeling very nauseous today again, felt like this on wednesday. And im exhausted. Even though we were closed yesterday i was at work til normal time. I fell asleep in our early morning meeting. Lol. And we did a three hour workshop. My supervisor said that i didn't have to be there but i insisted on sitting in because i had to keep myself distracted.
Baby's bag is packed at least. Mine ill do later today.
Will be back with an update once i know what is happening to me. ;)

Haha- 4.30am here now and I am wide awake now! Thank goodness for the iPad! Fell asleep during desperate housewives, so I have probably had enough sleep.

It is very true that when baby comes we will be living on almost no sleep for the first while. I remember vaguely the sleep depravation was a killer, M used to wake up every 3 hours- a very hungry baby with colic and reflux. And I used to spend hours walking up and down with him rocking him to sleep. I remember thinking to myself that I was crazy to have gotten myself into this. But the joys of parenthood are great! And the hard times are really a distant memory. Wonder if this LG will also have colic and reflux. At least this time I wount be as green.

Great to hear some of you also worked till the end. So I will just tell work I will work until the end of April and see how it goes. My secretary is due back from her maternity leave on 15 March- so at least we will have a little while together to get things sorted before it's my chance.

Em, Anje- no strangers have tried to touch my tummy. I or 2 of my co- workers have- which does feel strange, but not too uncomfy, because I have known them for years.
Em- is your sister coming for the birth? Where is she from? Great to have family come to share this special time with you!

Joli - thanks for showing the picture of the swaddling blankie!

Jessica, Tazzy- enjoy your last few days! Thinking of you- sounds like you are ready. Can't wait to hear your stories and see pics!

Lucy - my belly button is slightly to the side and is moving from going in to sticking out.

Rakker- great bump! Congrats on 30 weeksxx

Meags- glad you have someone down the road, even if their English is not that good.
Can't you take something for the pain, it really sounds bad. Maybe something is damaged. Aarg us preggie ladies always having aches and pains somewhere. For me it's still my feet and legs. I don't think they are enjoying carrying the extra weight. I do get a pain in my ribs when I am lying in bed with the iPad, or reading but I think that is because of the way I am positioned. When I move then it oes away.
I have also noticed that my wedding rings are starting to become a bit tight. I take them off as soon as I get home from work. Not sure if my hands are swollen or if it's just from the weight gain.

So pleased it's Friday again! Got a kiddies party on Saturday and then on Sunday meeting some ladies I met when I took M to moms and babes when he was a baby.

CT ladies we are still on for next Saturday. Will be so nice to meet some of you and put faces to you all. Will be strange for me as I have never met any people via the Internet. But I am looking forward to it!

Matthews arm is healing slowly- at least it never got any worse. I
have been putting cream on that a friend recommended called BC56. It works well. I have been keeping it bandaged. But he still manages
to scratch the sore open every day through the bandage.. A
constant battle. ..

Mom to Matthew, born 8 March 2008
baby girl due 29 April 2011
