Hi girls,
Quick update. :) So dr is still very happy and not concerned at all!! Jeezz... and I really thought he would be a bit more sympathetic. Hehe, no he says that I have a slight bladder infection that might be the cause of all the discomfort and the pain. Also he said I must drink some Probiflora and take it easier during the day then the BH won't be as bad at night. Kiana hasn't "engaged" yet, she is still moving her head from side to side so that means all is still fine and dandy. She's weighing in at about 2.7kg now. BH will also be more hectic now this stage of pregnancy and my uterus is "practicing" poor thing, not knowing that it's all for nothing, seen as it will be a c-section anyway.
So .... I'm still scheduled for 7 March. Will be seeing dr again in two weeks time though, so will see then.

Have a great weekend all! Just relieved that I can relax now and not stress about the niggles and contractions (BH that is).

Bye.

hi ladies

sorry no update on Kaylae yet.
I need to go buy a new power cable for the laptop so no time for a catch up!

I just wanted to say for Cath...please dont make hasty decisions based on what happened to Kaylae.
I can tell you 100 horror stories about elective caesars gone wrong as well as 100 horror stories on natural birth gone wrong.
There is no right or wrong choice - but it is the first choice, you as a mom, are going to have to make for your baby.

Remember having a caesar at 38 weeks does not mean no complications for baby. Each baby's lungs develop at different stages. So William may still go into NICU from being taken out too early.

As I said, questions for both choices!! Only you can decide which option you are most comfortable and happy with.

Take the time to look into what your real fears are. Remember that if you dont feel William moving, you go straight to gynae/ER. no one is there to judge you.

Wow Kimika! That is an awesome read! Thank you!

I was hoping on some update from Kaylae ... if she's okay, if all is well with her... as well as can be. But nothing yet. Will log in later to see if there might be an update.
I'm off now, going to put my feet up and relax a bit before going to the gynea. :) Reading a thriller to take my mind of everything, hehe.
Will put an update here after my dr visit.
Have a lovely weekend ladies.
Kimika ~ especially you.... :) hope you have a lovely weekend with lots of bonding with your bambino and preparing for him. Enjoy!

As my children reach maturity, I easily transition from controller to wise guide.
I give my children the gifts of life and opportunity!

schatsie - just remember with a c-sec you're going to be EINA and bending at the waist over a bath is going to have you in agony. And DH would run the bath water in the bathroom & carry the bath to the bed where you'll be busy undressing baby and all that. And when done he whisks it away again. So you won't be doing any heavy lifting for a few weeks at least after a c-sec - trust me - been there and done that!

Misty - I got one of those towelling ones that fit inside and it worked great. Just a tip from me - babies tend to start fussing when put into the bath so to help them relax (so mom can relax too and not stress out cause baby is crying in the bath) have a extra facecloth on hand and when baby starts fussing in the bath simply put the warm facecloth straight from the bath water on his/her tummy. it works like a charm!

Mistymom congrats on 30 weeks!

Regarding the bath, I saw a very nice one at Edgars which I want to get. It fits over your normal bath and has it's own plug. So it means you don't have to carry water around between the bathroom and bedroom. I have a bad back, so this is definitely the one for me!

Tazzy I'm definitely planning on having a nice relaxing weekend! Nowadays just not having to get up early to go to work and being able to have afternoon naps is such a pleasure!

And I have my baby shower tomorrow to look forward to! I can't actually believe I'm having one! I went thru a time when I declined invites to my friends' showers because I was so heartsore that I couldn't have a baby and here I am having my own one!! Life is good! And yes Mistymom, you're right, everything happens for a reason and my life is SO much better for meeting my new hubby and having this baby with him! He is a wonderful husband and will be a fantastic father!

If I still have energy left I think DH and I will go baby goodies shopping on Sunday. :)
