At last Shoo.. how frustrating not to be able to chat with you guys!!

Lucy, are you having fun with all your visitors? Have you received your bra in the post yet?? And your hospital facilities sound very much like ours.. except for the massage.. Im not getting that

Meags, I also noticed that he has been less active the last 2 or so weeks.. I can make out clear sleepy and akwake periods although there is no routine to them yet. As long as you are still feeling him now and then I also think you have lots of amniotic fluid.. that woudl def explain the big belly

Oh I can totally understand how you are feeling visiting the inlaws.. sounds a little bit frustrating. Cant you go on a day trip or do something nice in the area? maybe next time you can visit for a week with hubby and then go back to your mom for the 2nd week and leave him behind to spend time with his family? They will prob hate you for doing that

Cath, my list is even starting to make me worry!! Was visiting a friend who is due a week or so after me and she had her bag packed already!! I dont even have a bag yet.. ooollaaallaaa!!

Joli, oo you sound busy busy busy.. and argh the christmas shopping is also getting me down now! I was so irritated today that I just left without finishing.. the rest of the gifts will be in the form of vouchers You must be really uncomfy with baby lying so sideways, I really hope he does some turning.. maybe all the walking/shopping/standing/cooking will make him turn. I read that on the spinningbabies website that lotsa time on your feet are linked to babies going head down easier as their heads are the heaviest. It makes sense to me because firt time round I was very passive and this time Im on my feet most time of most days.

Mistymom, glad your scan went well and that you got your DVD hehe..

Schatsie, I would say 25wks is great for a 4d.. after that its really only fatty face

AFM: Ive been sooo tired the last few days... not really tired as in sleepy .. more like just no energy.. feels like something is pulling my shoulders and tummy down, its really weird! Wonder if it can be bloodsugar related or maybe bloodpressure? Im not used to feeling like this and this time of the year there is just sooo much to do!!

ARgh and I got an email from gynae (who by the way must have had her baby by nwo!! ) saying that they picked up a bacteria in my swab So now I got a prescription for antibiotics.. I think its that streptococcus that she swabbed for, will ask her when I see her on the 5th. aii

And Im really so sad.. my boy staffie is visiting my sister in Rustenburg, been there since last weekend because the girly staffy is in heat and I dont want babies so close to my due date. So he really loves it there and we have been there since Sunday anyway. This morning I saw his was down in the dumps but just thought it was normal for him to be like that when he sees us packing the car. So she phoned me earlier tonight saying she had to take him to the vet because he was getting worse. They couldnt find anything wrong with him but is keeping him there to see if he is ok. So he is sleeping at the vet hospital tonight Im sooooo worried.. he really is my baby and now I cant even be with him as we are back in Midrand. I think he might have tick fever as I found a huge tick on him just before we took him to Rtb, but the vet says he hasnt got fever.. I just want my baby to be better and come home now

Shoo so I managed to only get in a bunch of complaints.. sorry.. otherwise Im actually doing really well and enjoying the festive time.. sigh

I just have to update you ladies on the fabulous dinner we just ate...

Oh and my neighbour smsed me to say someone hit my car in the parking lot back home...I'm so annoyed!! So she has moved my car elsewhere out of the main stream of traffic and apparently the night security said that one of the tenants reported it to the day security as they saw what happened so I hope tomorrow when she asks security, they have the persons details and car license details so I can follow up on it. They better not deny that it happened.

wow EmsMom that is a big baby you got there!!! How lovely!!!! I always hope when I have a scan that Matthieu will be measuring a bit bigger...but he never is! Always just spot on average.

well DH's mom took us shopping for baby stuff. Shame it was really sweet of her. only thing was, she saw a little cream dungaree outfit and thought it would be the perfect outfit for his baptism when we come back in June next year...in my mind, I wanted to have a special christening dress made for the baby so I politely told DH and now I think him and his mom think I am weird!

Hey ladies

Well the scan went great! Baby is very big already, 760gram (seems so strange to say that is big..) Dr even asked if my sugar had been checked cause of the size of baby...

But everything is looking perfect. Still a week ahead in growth, but nothing new there.

Was so sweet and baby gave us a smile before he/she got grumpy and sat with pouting lips for the rest of the scan. The Dr was fasinated with the lips and how they were pouting. But Em was exactly the same.

Cant wait now to meet our little one

well I think I have figured out the problem here...
you know how it's nice to visit granny but a lunch at her house is enough?? well that's exactly what it's like here!!!!!
DH's mom is about 68 so she's reasonably old and everything here is OLD. and I just cant connect with her since we are like 2 generations apart.
I told DH last night that I just cant do this 2 week thing here anymore. I know that is really mean. And I know it's important for him to see his family and for them to see our kids. but I personally just cannot come here and sit in his house for 2 weeks doing nothing. I am dreading being here with Matthieu next year as every day, for 14 days our routine will be the following:
Wake up. sit in the bedroom until 12 noon.
Go downstairs and eat lunch until 13:30.
Either come back upstairs and sit in the room all afternoon or go into town to walk around for a bit. Then come sit in the room.
Go eat dinner at 19:00 until 20:30.
Come upstairs to the room and watch a DVD.

I'm sorry but I cant sit in a bedroom with a baby all day!!!! I'd much rather go see my mom....

EmsMom I didnt realise you were only 2 years older than me!! don't forget to update us on your scan and enjoy your date night!!

lucy sorry about your back....I was visiting the chiro every week before this holiday so I know how you feel.

So how are you all doing, today is a bit warmer but not super hot, so I'm happy with that

Joli I would have flipped if my maid did that. We are very lucky to have a hard working nanny, and she's been with the family since I was 10, so I've known her now for 17 years.

only 90min now till our big scan, then DH and I are having a date night.
And tomorrow is Bring your child to work day for DH, so he will take Em to work and they are all going to watch movies and eat junk food, and get off early. So I also then get the day off so to speak.

Misty - I also had a good chuckle at your DVD story. The whole tone of your posts are so much happier, guessing it is cos DH is home! What did he think of the garden?

Joli - That is negligent on your maids behalf. Really!! I really have the zig with my maid too, she is not cleaning at all, have no idea what she does all day!!

Meags - I wish I'd get some special treatment! Enjoy it while it lasts and I would also make the most of it - LOL!!

Kimika - Hope you kick vodacom in the proverbial.

Afm - Looks like my sister will make it through, yippeee!! I have such bad backache lately, I went to chiro again this morning, was there only 2 weeks ago. I knew I'd battle with my back but I kind of thought it would be a lot later on! Grrrr
