AFM-still stuck in the office as IT says they have no free laptops and I am from a 2 weeks leave just came back on monday so yaah.I am just praying that these fumes doesn't harm my baby as my manager clearly doesn't care.Enjoy your CHRISTMAS with your loved ones as for me it will be a lonely one as DH and I are fighting and he said he is too tired of us

Jessica, shame man, just do it and take him, I'm always happy to spend money on LO that normal people dont see a child should have, but why can you spend it on an adult but not a child?

Kaylae, if they do not have somewhere else for you to work then you must stay at home, but law you do not have to be anywhere where it is potentially toxic for you or your child.

Misty, go to Storm in A-G cup - went there today and my darling mommy bought me a stunning tankini, maternity. They have tons of costumes and will measure you to see your size etc and are not at all expensive.

AFM, today is far to hot for me, have lounged in the pool, sat in room with fan on, but still dying. My folks are here and are keeping Em entertained so I can chill for a while. Cant wait for DH to be on leave next week though.

thanks for the photo comments cant wait to do the proper maternity photo shoot around 34 weeks!! this little man must have grown a lot recently. my tummy is very hard and very full. when I eat I feel sick as there just isnt space for the food.
My gynae recommended I have a scan once we get to France to make sure baby is coping with all the flying etc. so MIL booked a scan for 29 December. apparently the sonographer was angry and said I shouldnt be having a scan now - I should wait until January. I do think the scan is a bit pointless...but since we get reimbursed we may as well see how he's growing!

Karin - your 4D pics are SO nice!!! She really is a very beautiful little girl already

Kimika - HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! 30 years, 30 week Hope it is a fantastic day for you!

Oh in laws here .......... DH has taken them out for an hour so I can snooze (I didn't sleep again last night) But I feel bad for him as he is sick.

Morning to all the preggy Faries (as the themne seems to be this AM)

Kimika - I went to co0llect my hamper on Saturday morning. I got a Rusel Hobbs kettle and toaster (all nice and shinny and stainless steel - priced them at R600 and R400), a whole lot of snacky things like nuts, crisps, chocolates etc ( all thos enice Spar importd ones) and a bottle of wine (which I can drink in about a year!). SO ya was really nice and then the R1000 voucher on top of that.

Emsmom - wow size 30! I had a bit of an emotional wobbly in the changing room at woolies yesterday afternoon. Was shopping with mom and looking for a new bikinin and every t op I tried on basically covered my nipples. I looked like I could have been a bunny from the playboy mansion. Im so desperate for a new bikini as we going camping fro new year and plan to sit in the river all day and now looks like i will have to wear my speedo training cozie as that is all that fits! Damn this massive boobs....then a while later when we were in the baby shop and I saw teh price of formula mom reminded me even though my boobs are massive, they will save me money! And she said like her, once I am finished breast feeding, I ca get a boob job and then fit perfectly in my bikini...so felt a little better . I have been evry emotional this past week (cry at almost anything). Think its cos DH has been away, but at least he is back today. The last week has been tough...I really admire those single preggy ladies!

Jessica - wow R200 fro a helicopter flip? In CT you would pay that just to sit in one....Think the cheapest here is about R800 fro 15 min so tell DH R200 is nothing!

Schatsie....ya I was in Canal Walk at 9am on Saturday morning (not out of choice - had to collect something from woolies which they had bought in from anouther store fro me). Was shocked at the Q's already. Anyway afetr woolies went down to get a few grocerys at Checkers...and OMG...it was MAD. q'ed fro about 20 minutes to pay for R130 worth of groceries. Then back out to the mall again and what I dont undertsand ios that the WHOLE famiy has to spread out and walk like snails. People walking towards you just do not get out the way. By now my feet where sore, I was a sweat bag and not in a good mood...so i put on my sunglasses (part of my game tacktic as people cant make eye contact), increased my trolley speed (must of looked like a mad pregnant women) and just WALKED....everybody was getting out my way....
Houtbay is lovely to strol about when the weather is nice...and The quaterdeck is also a nice restraunt. If you ever want to treat yourself to the best clamari in CT then go to the Hout Bay Hotel. It is a bit pricey..think about R110 - BUT...you get loads and it is world famous an dso yummy!

KatinM...oooh that GOREGOUS littel 4d face...you just wanna kiss it!

AFM...picking up DH in 5 hours....yay.....and tomorrow we go for our 22 week scan...DA BIG ONE! OOh and I thyink I know one of my Christmas pressies...Dh said to me the other day that on Wednesday I must use his car and he is using mine. He said he needs to take it for the annual oil change (ya right I may be a girl, but not dumb!). I am sure he is fitting it with a CD player (beleive it or not my car still has a tpae in!!!! )He knows I have been toying with the idea to buy one (I was saying how with little one on the way I better put in a CD player so I can play the kiddies cds in teh car). Then I said, I will wait until they break into my car and stealm th current radio (which in this country should satisically happen soon)...so anyway I am sure that is his game plan. Once he comes home with the car on Wednesday I will have to act all surprised.....(hope my theory is true!!)

I only have 2 more pressies to buy...but at least know what they are! DH has bought a new camera fro himself (said he wants the latest state of the art fro birth and baby) so I am going to get him a nice camera bag...now lets just hope this new camera can cjange me from a szie 14 to a size 10! Oh yes...still trying to post my pics...will ask DH to help...not sure hwat is going wrong.

It went soooo well, got a beautiful dvd from the 4D and saw her so well. She is just gorgeous!! Such a pretty little face, the pictures doesn't do her justice I'm afraid.

Good morning all the preggy fairies

AnjeD wow on catching up with everyone like that - clearly you don't have preggy brain like I do - I can't seem to remember much these days.

Meags your snow pics are GORGEOUS! And wow, what a lovely bump! I barely look pregnant at 21 weeks, so I definitely won't have such a nice bump at 26 weeks!

AFM: I had SUCH a lovely, relaxed weekend. Oh, except for having to go shopping for Xmas goodies on Sat morning, but luckily we went before 9h00 and finished just about everything in an hour and a half. Saturday evening we had a very nice braai with some friends and family. Yesterday DH and I took a lovely drive to Hout Bay and went for a walk at the craft market and then had the most perfect lunch at the Lookout Deck, right next to the sea! Other than that I had a lovely long nap on Sat & Sun afternoon - too nice!

I'm at work this week, but luckily things are very quiet and my boss said we can all go to the beach for a picnic tomorrow, so it won't be a long week.
