Morning girls

wow cant believe how much of a porraige brain Ive been! I have this huge order (platters) for 100ppl for one of my old customers. So on Monday I go buy all the stuff and yesterday I start my prepping. I phone the lady yesterday to tell her Im picking up the trays from her and she says: yes, for next weeks stuff! eekk!! I forgot she moved it from the 8th to the 14th!!! Thank goodness most of the stuff I can freeze and use next week.. but Im still stuck now with a LOAD of fresh cream etc.. aaiii!! duh!!

Emsmom, you are brave.. I wouldnt dare even look at a swimming costume now ;) Ill have to skinnydip when its dark! lol

Joli, I sent you another email last night on the PMB. Hope you get that sorted out soon and get some money back!

Cath, its kinda hectic with the placenta covering the cervix.. ag tog :)
Sorry no advice on the UIF. Sinus you can use Illiaden but not for longer than 5 days. Ask your dr to prescibe something else. Ive got the cortisone one that I use daily and dr said its safe (just stopped up to 12wks). Also you can get that SSR (saline sinus rinse) to use. Its just sachets that you mix with pre-boiled and coolded water to make saline mix and then with the little bottle you get along you squirt it up into your sinusses.. it rinses it out and works a bomb!

Meags, ahhh your evil stephmom is the pits!!! Cant believe she was staring at your boobs and then even commentd on them!! crazzyy cow... And grr to the girl with all her demands.. she really wants her bread buttered on all sides hey! Can you believe she wants to put clauses in for future escalations?? Helloo.. if you buy a house thats just part of the deal hey!! She isnt going to be able to do that anywhere else so good luck! Why not just rent out the house until you can eventually sell it while overseas?

Schatsie, glad your feeling a little bit better now.. xxx

Uhm.. there was something else I wanted to say.. ahhhhrrgg the porraige

Hi ladies

Sorry to interject here but wanted to talk to Schatsie.
My little girl has a few heart problems, and one of them is the VSD.
When she was 4days old the cardiologist we went to who you'll probably see (Dr Joan Hunter at Louis Leipold) could see a vsd. She had heart surgery for another more life threatening condition when she was 8 days old. When she was 15 days old her new cardiologist (Dr Harold Pribut at Chris Barnard) could not find the VSD anymore.
I dont know too much about it as it was such a minor problem compared to the others that we havent really researched it. But I do know that a lot of the time they close and get smaller and other times people will live with them their whole lives and the only thing that tells doctors its there is that they can hear a murmur when they listen to the heart.

So strongs hun its not easy but these little ones are fighters and amazing and God is a miracle worker too.

Theres a good chance you'll be referred to Dr Hunter after baby's birth to determine the extent of it. Her bedside manner isnt great but shes got to give a lot of bad news to parents so she distances herself and sticks to facts. But between her, Dr Pribut, our paed (Dr Vermeulen at panorama) and the surgeon Dr Vosloo they saved our girls life. So just know that there are some really good doctors in Cape Town who will do the very best they can for your little one.

Emsmom, phew surgery at age 4 is a LOT better than having surgery on a little newborn baby! That doesn't sound too bad at all.

My friend also told me that her brother was born with a hole in his heart and he is now 28 and has been very active, playing sports, etc..

Hearing stuff like this does give me some hope that our baby will be just fine and can still have a full and happy life!

Schatsie, glad you are feeling better today. I have a close friend who's little girl has a hole on her heart, and she is 3 1/2 and they have not fixed it yet and she is still fine. They will give her till 4 for it to self correct and if not surgery can fix it 100%.
I live in Durbanville, but can drive anywhere, almost anytime, so just shout.

Hey girls

Thanks for all your kind messages and support during this difficult time!! I spent a nice evening with my friend last night chatting about it all and do feel a lot better today.

The chances of Downs is after very small and the hole in the heart is unlikely to be life threatening and can either grow closed by itself or be fully fixed by surgery.

EmsMom/Joli thanks for offering to meet for coffee and a chat. Yes, I'm in Cape Town, so EmsMom I'll let you know when I feel like meeting sometime soon. Where do you live?

PS: I squeezed my nipples in the shower this morning and actually saw tiny little white specks of colostrum (okay, so tiny that it was no larger than the sharp end of a pin :)), but nevertheless, I HAVE MILK! :) Yay!

Lucy - I'd rather not leave them a key as there is someone staying here to look after my cats and I dont really think it's fair to tell her people will be coming and going and therefore she needs to have the place immaculate every day just in case!!

plus I am already a bit sceptical about how reliable she is so probably best not to have the house on show!
