Hi All. Sjoe what a day. I can't wait for December so I can take a bit of leave. I'm working until 15h00 today (taking my lunch an hour before I am supposed to leave at 16h00) so I can fit in a client for newborn shoot - baby was born on Saturday and they are leaving for Durban on Friday. Hoping to be done by around 19h00.

Luckily for me I don't have leaky boobs as yet - never had it with my girls either.

Cath - nice pic - you look so happy and healthy! I must make a plan to take some pics of my belly again. Will try for this weekend.

OK, let me post some of my scan pics for those not on FB - I'm really starting to get excited now. Argh man he / she was just too cute for words when we went for the scan.

Meags - I think you asked - Kayla was 2.6kg and Megan 3.1kg at birth. Both of them were born with blue noses - Marinda (midwife) said that there's a rif (bone) that they need to get over and mine is quite high apparently and that's why Megan didn't want to come while I was upright in the bath???? Not sure what she meant, but anyways, after I got out and went to lie down, I was again in full labour and Megan arrived like 10 minutes later. Strange. And I didn't tear with them. I'm petrified of tearing. Veronica (current midwife) said there's some homeopatic stuff one can take to help - do you know what it is???? Also, pls mail me a pic of that cupboard again and your address so hubby can collect.

MistyMom - Thanks I'll follow up on the form. I agree that those carriwells look comfy but not very supportive. Boobs always look like they are headed south in them! I have been sleeping in sports bras which I find comfy and supportive. Not sure what I'll do to breast feed though as that it a bit impractical!

Tazzy and Karin - I usually never read those topics let alone comment, but for some reason they wound me up this time. Grrrr! First and last time, LOL!!

Vix - Murphy's law on the leaky boobs last night, almost sounds like a leaky faucet, hahaha! Thanks for the reassurance that all is well with these leaky faucets (sorry I'm amusing myself here!) Thanks to all the other ladies who also reassured me, you all rock! Vix, I appreciate the advice on the gel pads too. Is there any make that is better and where do you get them?

Kimika - Whoop whoop for 26 weeks, well done I agree with you, it's the judgement that upsets me. I have purchased some pigeon breast pads, grrrr. I hope those are thin ones - I am known to be clueless, LOL!

Faw - Fabulous on no more bleeding. I think it is awesome that you are taking the bull by the horns and doing your own shower. I agree with keeping it simple to keep everyone happy.

Cath - You both look so happy, what a lovely photo and belly! I think 3rd trimester is a big deal ...... getting super real for you now

Anje - You are so sweet. Thanks. I also think she is gorgeous but then I reckon I am pretty biased! Glad your uro is happy. I guess it will depend on how easy the birth is etc. The right thing will happen either way I also usually stay away from those threads for the same reason, but I was bored and ours was quiet. I will find other ways to occupy my time in future. Getting life right is so difficult anyway, I should think people want to make it easier not more hurtful, stressful and ugly. But each to his own. Your DH sounds so involved, that is so fantastic, makes it very special.

All is well with me and Baby D !! I am sure she recognises hubby's voice now, as she starts kicking now whenever he speaks to me. Maybe just wishfull thinking.

We are going to the Baby Expo on Friday and Sunday afternoon, my hubby wants to take his mom and a good friend of ours with us, but not together. And he wants to enter the competition as well. Looking forward to it !!

Hi girls, I have been busy the last two days.

Lucy, love your baby pic at 20 weeks !! I am so jealous. Thank you for asking, I spoke to my urologist who said I shouldn’t have any probs, but that I should rather speak to my gyne, which I will do with the next appointment. BTW, I totally agree with you re the paying c/s thread, it seems it is acceptable for some to voice opinions and not others. I don’t even read these threads anymore, they are more heated than informative.

Fawhaway, o my gosh, you are the third person that I heard off where the little girl turned into a little boy. Shame, now it is name hunting from scratch. At least you are both healthy and the bleeding has stopped !! Thank goodness for the help you are getting from the Muslim community.

Joli, so glad all is well with baby even though baby is a little big, don’t think you stress about it now. RE your boss, ouch !! He sounds so mean. Hope he changes his attitude.

Tazzy, my hubby said my baby shower will only be end of Jan / beginning of Feb. Hope it is not too late, but I am sure all will be fine.

Schatsie, good to know all is well !! Now you should just relax and enjoy the pregnancy. You are almost halfway !! I have been paranoid as well, but only because of my previous MC’s and also had a threatened MC with this little girl, but after my 12 and 16 week scan, I am much more positive. We bought a Doppler and that helped a lot as well.

HI Rakker, oh no, being monitored sucks !! Enjoy your scan, please let us know what the gender is if you know. Are you on facebook ?
