AnjieD- you're welcome, i can get a bit overbearing with advice sometimes so should learn to keep my mouth shut at times but i am the queen of having a baby and comfortable C-sec recovery on a budget so like to try and help out with advice where i can seeing as these days we are all digging deeper into the empty pockets. But some items are just essential expenses in my eyes like the heat packs, sorry but I'm just not a cabbage leaf type of person LOL

Meags - enjoy your scan! and your time out with your friend. I think this is just what you need right now.

Emsmom - Also waiting for the belly pic ;) My memory has also gone out the window. And Im doing silly things like putting the kettle in the fridge stuff. I can only imagine its going to get worse.

Anje - Lucky you getting your new cupboards today. But all that repacking......

Lucy - I also think its okay to sleep on your back for short periods. I mostly sleep on my sides but do roll onto my back inbetween turning over. It feels soooo good, but then my hubby always wakes me up because he is the paranoid one :)
I think it only makes sense not to sleep on your back when you're really big - like 7 months+. I remember my legs used to go dead and get pins and needles, from my first preg

AFM - I think the citro soda is helping - I havent had that burning pain in my pubic bone today.
But I have just got back from doing my monthly grocery shop.....WOW! thats the last time I attempt that by myself! I think if it wasnt for the car guard helping my unpack the shopping in the car, I think I might have needed a rest in the middle of the car park.
And then I have a few steps to climb up when I get home....eish that was the last time!

But I got my slab of choc....so now Im happy :) :)

Had my 17 week scan this morning and it's a girl! Legs closed all the time, silly girl, but the gynae was patient and poked and prodded until we could see, LOL. Nothing more from my side as Big brother of internet usage is watching me...

Emsmom - I do feel strange but not uncomfortable. LOL at the having sex leads to preggy. I am sure a lot of people believe in wind pollenation!

Anje - Hope you share some pics with us. Enjoy tonight in your new kitchen. I am also sure I read something. Wish I had paid attention at the time.

Joli - It is an old wives tale that a heart rate below 150 is a girl and above is a boy. It is accurate in my case as Tessa seems to hover around the 142 mark for the last 2 scans!! Just silly stuff.
Sorry about the new born shoot. Sometimes people are clueless. Why pay a professional and then try tell them what to do! It will only be their loss in the long run!

Morning ladies.

EmsMom - looking forward to the belly pics! :) Glad you found the nice maternity pants, enjoy looking and feeling fab!

Ai Meags - :( My heart aches for you (and sorry to say) I feel upset for you too because I don't think your hubby treats you like you deserve, especially with the pregnancy and the immigration combined. I really hope and pray that he'll change his attitude for you and all will work out great. ((hugs))
Enjoy your 4D!! Hope you get some lovely pics. :)

Lucy - sleeping on your back is not preferred as yes, the blood flow gets restricted and you might get dizzy and oxygen is also restricted to the baby, BUT it is not life threatening, and also a women's body warns her to turn even in sleep, so don't stress. Once you get to your 3rd trimester it will get really uncomfortable and you'll hardly ever end up sleeping for long periods on your back.

Anje - Yeah!! on the kitchen cupboards! :) Hope it looks as stunning as you visualized! :cheer:

Joli - :( shame doll... that sounds like a horrible photo shoot... And really difficult customers!

AFM: Mom in law is here and she's realy a sweet heart. :)
Month end today, tomorrow brother in law and his wife (my fellow preggy fairy) :P comes to visit for the weekend too. So its going to be busy, busy, busy!
Kiana gave us such a lovely show last night. She kicked her gran two real hard kicks right in the palm of her hand! :cheer: That was sooo cute, and then she also kicked both her brother and sister for the first time to let them know she's real and a force to be reckoned with in future.
She's very busy since yesterday, almost feel her constantly moving and jabbing and punching... LOVE it. Will see tomorrow how much she's grown and hoping to get a good view this time.

Have a great day ladies.

Hello All!

Lucy - they say you shouldn't sleep on your back, but I do believe that your body will tell you if / when you shouldn't and you will get uncomfortable and turn anyways. Why do you say my baby's heart rate makes you think it's a boy?

Enjoy Sexpo EmsMom - also want to go one day.

Shame Meags - hope your DH will change once baby arrive :-(.

Girls I just had a normal scan with Maryka, paid R200 for it. I think she might have printed some 3D pics in black & white anyways. I will go for a proper 3D next time.

Lucy, I am no expert, also read it is not good to sleep on your back - not to sure how accurate it is. Unfortunately since around 6 weeks I get horrible backache whenever I slept on my back, so by now I have gotten used to sleeping on my sides.
