Thanks ladies  you're so sweet!

I wouldnt mind if it was only 3kg I'd gained...but I'm half way and gained 9kg already!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If I take my weight before I dieted before falling pregnant, then I've gained 6.5kg which I would be fine with...but 9kg!

I am so scared my gynae is going to shout at me...there is nothing I can do?! Ok I could exercise....but eating wise...I dont eat badly and I only drink water.

I really try not to worry about it and think "I'll worry once baby is out". But ya...I just dont know where the weight is!

Meags ~ you look wonderful!! So obviously pregnant its so beautiful!!
I've realised (expecting my 3rd now) that some women just pick up more weight and look bigger than others, thats all. No apparent reason or anything, it just happens. I've made peace with it now, cause no matter what I do, with all three my pregnancies I end up looking like a pregnant hippo, not even just normal looking one.
It's hormones, gene's, body type etc. But the good news is that after baby is born you'll lose it quick, worked like that with me at least. Also I retain lots of water, and that is a big culprit.
But don't think for one minute you don't look gorgeous!! Cause you do and everybody else thinks so. :)
Hope you'll have a lovely scan experience and post us some cute pics!

Cath ~ wow, you going to have a tall little boy there! Yes, I love living in George, will never move back to the city. :) Great raising my kids here too, we are very blessed.

Looking forward to more pics of babies and preggy ladies! ;)

Emsmom thanks a ton!!! That really helped me a lot! I see my gynae again (who btw is assuring me it will move but I'm erring on the side of pessimism!) at 28 weeks, mistakenly I thought that was d-day but you are dead right, I'll wait til 36 weeks and he can decide then! :)
Thanks!
Cathm
PS Re eating and exercising I started both yesterday - eating better and even exercising I have been incredibly sedentary! Hoping to make it a major habit as from now!

morning ladies.

Cath, I had it, but moved up at around 24 weeks, my mom had till 36 weeks and moved up then. If you want natural, dont let your Dr book you in for a c-section till your 36week scan.

Meags thats such a sweet pic. I had my BIL today asking for me to send some belly pics, so I guess I'll have to take some soon. But still feel like its mainly fat for me.

Kimika, sadly all medical aids are full of it. Just keep fighting them.. :)

Lucy, your time sounds wonderful! Glad you and DH had that time together :)

Tazz and Cath those scans are lovely! I cant wait for my detailed one!

Schatsie, yay on the papers! I hope we see some pics of the wedding!!

AFM, not much going on, I'm trying now to watch what I eat and exercise more. Dont want to look like a whale when I give birth, my baby might just cry when he see's me and is scared!

Kimika - The one was dragging the other... he just flopped his legs. It was so funny and then they turned about, bum to bum like dogs!! I would not be a sane woman if I didn't venture to the game parks often, so you have my sympathies. I may need that number for Discovery I am also still waiting ..... ridiculous!

Meags - you are not fat!!!!!!!!!!!! You just have a preggy belly. Enjoy your scan and don't forget to share.

Anje - Good luck, nearly done!

Karin - The bounce is definately back ..... and so is Tessa's she has started kicking regularly now. Even felt a really strong one with my hand! Sorry about your freezer - how irritating and what a waste of money!

karinM what a lovely place George is - particularly in the rain! We did the garden route on our honeymoon and spent a few glorious days in Wilderness not too far from you.

Re the freezer that is the absolute worst poor thing fx for a sunny day to get the carpet alright! That happened to us when were small and went away for December holidays!!!! So it was discovered 4 weeks later! I will never forget the smell of that water!

Sterkte!

Thanks ladies for all the lovely comments!

We loved the scan and seeing Will's face (as it is now) so clearly!

We both cried, well I cried actually and Jonathan had one tear!

Kimika, Will is now about 580g and his legs measure longer than average so he may even be tall! :) My dh is tall, I am short! I can empathise re Discovery and Medical Aids in general! Mine owe me a ton of money for claims they have lost 3 times grrr.

Meags your bumps pics are stunning! you look v cute! I think we put on what we need to put on so your 3kg is needed for babs! :) look forward to seeing your scan pics!

Anjed 20 weeks is awesome, look forward to you posting your pics! I'm also madly busy at work but I love being able to pop in here and read and see all the news, even if I don't get to post often.

Lucy your trip sounds divine!!

Karen and Kaylae, LOL, those are my son's pics, not Lucy's! :)

Have a divine day everyone - beautiful rainy day in JHB we need it so much.

BTW, anyone else have placenta previa - or partial. I have about 5 weeks to go for it to pull up (apparently very common up to 20 weeks but 23.5 weeks now and still partially covering whatever it's not supposed to be covering, oh birth canal) My gynae and Maryke say not to worry in 85% chance it'll pull up so fingers crossed. Don't want to have a caesarean at ALL mainly because I'd like to be back to normal immediately and get no wtih being a mom - not nursing a stomach wound!! :( Of course if it's meant to be I'll accept it and try and rejoice in the fact I'll be able to give birth earlier and know the precise date LOL nice for a control freak like me! :)
