Glad all are doing well!

still havn't decided on doing an amniocentesis yet... guess we need to get this week over with first with hubby's dad's funeral and all.
I'm leaning more and more towards the amnio I think.... although I'm really scared I'm making a mistake and endangering my baby. So we'll pray about it more and see later.

my tummy is definitely ahead of me - just grateful it looks highly pregnant and not highly fat!!
I didnt have my scan at Genesis - it was done by my gynae. She does the normal scan and 4D scan at every visit so I'm very lucky!!

Speaking of Genesis, I am booked to work there for 6 days! whoop whoop. hope they pay well.

you are going to love your first scan it really is so special!!!!

Meags - that pics hilarious!

MistyMom - I had my blood test and scan on tues evening and my gynae phoned on the friday with the results. So its pretty quick.
I do feel very relieved.

KarinM - I saw your thread that you posted. Im so bad at trying to interpret Afrikaans. But I hope everything works out fo you. The 1% chance is so small, but I would go for the Amnio just to put your mind at rest.

@ Schatsie welcome....hope you have a fantastic stay here...I am also an "older" first timer! Turning 35 next month.

@ Meags...love the pics! Wish we had a genesis here in CT but I have found a compnay called Peek a babe which does 4d scans and I think it is very resonable - R550 for a half hour session including a cd and dvd. We will probably do that at around 25 weeks.

@ Karen - hope that the PMB goes well this time! I have my first check up tomorrow so will have my forms ready for doc to fill in...hope all goes well the first time that i submit!

@ Joli - glad you feeling a little better. I have had a much better time this week with the MS...and have at least kept everything down! WOW what a proud weekend yo uhave had with LG in own bed and no accidents. Dont be sad about it!!! Be happy...and soon you will have a new baby in the bed!!

@ Kimika good idea with emailing the potential clients! LOL yes i was the opposite to you! Did not mention i was 6 weeks preggies in my interview! I wish i could have been honest, but having just got retrenched i needed a job ASAP and could not afford to tell the truth! Now of cors I am in a position where i will need to tell them. Guess i will know when the time is right!

@ mommy-jess - hang in there! All the hormones must be a good sign! I have plenty of them and am so lucky and amazed at how DH was handled them (me)! I love Noah. We have choosen Ryan for a boy and still clueless wit ha girl!! We both loved Ryan stright away but cant seem to "click" with a girls name! Well at least we still have 7 months to go!

@ Meags wow your bump seems to be way ahead of you girl! LOve Mathew best of your boy names! YA also struggling here wit ha girl name. DH and I just cant agree!

@ Lucy W shame man about tha theat!!! Crappy one! CT is still a bit hehind with the weather althoug we did have a noce one yesterday - 27! And at 35 (me next month) cant believe that they call us elder!!! I feel about 24!!

@ Tazzy yay about the downs result! How long did you have t owait fro results?? I just want mine over and done with and am sur eonce that is out the way I will enjoy my pregnancy a whole lot more

Have had a good day - only thing is DH has invited frineds around this evening to watch soccer. It only STARTS at 9pm! When he mentioned it this morning I said no probs as I will probably be in bed by 8pm so all the guys can have a chick free night! Now he has called t say the one guy is bringing his wife!!!! So now i will have to sit up untill about 11.30pm !! No happy at all!!

@ Meags - yip bit of a sticky one! I think that the last eg of SMS you wrote seems fine! I am sure she knows about the party which is why she contacted you out of the blue! The message sounds friendly enough.

Meags - That piccture is hysterical!! One way to save on nappies!! I think what you suggested re your friend is perfect. You clearly didn't know they were in contact so I would not stress! Wasn't her holiday like a month ago!!

Tazzy - I am also terrified of being a whale in february, eeeek. Thank goodness we have aircon in our room so at least I'll be able to sleep!

ladies i'm in a situation!!!
this girl we went to varsity with - no one talks to her anymore.

so this weekend is another friend's baby shower.
out of no where the varsity girl smses me (havent heard from her since forever...) and is asking how i am etc and then mentions she is meeting the preggy friend for coffee on thursday.

i said 'oh didnt know you guys were still on contact?' and she replied that they speak often!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I now feel awkward as maybe the preggy friend mentioned the baby shower and this varsity friend feels left out???

what do i do!! what have been another story if the first sms i sent back said "so glad to hear from you as we're having a baby shower for michelle" but i went about 3 smses not mentioning anything

i think it's fine to invite her...but how do i word it now???

was thinking of replying "well since you are michelle are still in contact, would you like to attend her baby shower on saturday?? I'm sure she'd love to have you there!"

or is that weird??

Lucy - Its soooooooo hot up here too. I just dont know how Im going to get through summer being in my 3rd Trimester.

Karen - Was your PMB declined?

I have changed my gyn app to 29th Septmber @ 16 weeks. So that I can first check with my gyn to see if I actully need to bother with these further blood tests. They cost a fortune, so If he doesnt think they are necessary then Im not having them.
My downs blood test came back. Very low risk
