25 hours till my scan LOL tick tocl tick tock!!!

Just praying PMB gets approved as well! And of cors that my chipolata is all good! Now also getting a little nervous!!

Yip i have decided tonight to meet and greet and then just excuse myself and go to bed! I am sure all will understand and if not tough!!

going to make cheese on toast now...craving it all melted and goyyeee!!! yum yum!!

hey Moms.

Gosh I'm in a bad mood all of a sudden, i'm normally very layed back and it takes ALLOT to get me to flip my lid, now all of a sudden I'm from ok to satans spawn.

And then my freaking DF dares to tell me "i'm not the enemy so don't take it out on me" I nearly screamed at him like a fishwife or a "Plaas ousie" I just said i'll speak to him later. I mean what the hell, I did not get pregnant on my own....

any way.... Meags I see that you are going to work at Genesis.

is that the water birthing centre in JHB? if it is what are you going to do there? I am hoping to have my baby there, but we will see closer to the time...

HI Girls,

Finally got to have my scan. Baby is fine and has a 1 in 4520 chance of having downs. I am 12 weeks and 6 days. Baby’s heart beat is 162bpm. I am glad that all is well, HOWEVER I was BEFOK by the time I left. The woman refused to let me look at the ultra sound saying that I saw the baby last week and I don’t need to see. She then decided to put my race as mixed… wtf??!!! There is no mix in my family and didn’t bother to ask me what I am.. if she had opened her eyes she would see that I am as white as a ghost. The only ones that would be mixed race are my children. She complained and told me I was too skinny and had no tummy… who the heck is she to tell me that. She also proceeded to tell me that I am wasting the hospitals time because I am low risk. I was told the whole of my pregnancy last time that I was low risk and ended up with problems and had to be induced. Anyway she says I must go to Hanover Park and I told her I will not be going there. She told me I can try convince the clinic at Groote Schuur to take me, but she doubts they will. I have my ways and means of getting in there and I will get the last laugh. I still have to book my first appointment there, but the lady I need to speak to wasn’t there today so I am going to call her tonight and find out when she will be there so I can get my appointment. My next scan is at 22 weeks which is the 22nd of November… a hell of a long time. 

Still no job for me, but I keep trying. Something will come up, otherwise its going to be baking for me and I also want to start making flowers out of icing and selling that as a novelty… the roses etc that go onto wedding cakes. For that I have to wait until Wednesday to see if my brother in law puts the money he owes me into my moms bank account.

My son can finally point out his nose when you ask him, its too cute.. when you ask he grabs it and pulls it.

Meags I'm seeing my midwife on 25 September so will miss you then but I've got a 14h00 appointment with Dr. Mia on 6 Oct - where will I find you?? Sms me your no. then I can call you when I'm there . My cell is 073-146-2041.

ok well i just smsed her to say she's invited. so she is coming!

i am working in Genesis on 29 and 30 September and then again on 4,5,6 and 7 October from 7am-7pm.

MistyMom - LOL at the 26hours. It will go by in a flash. Strength to you tonight. I had to stay up until midnight on saturday and I nearly died ...... was very grateful to sleep in on sunday!

Tazzy - Wow that was quick, my gynae told me it will take a week .... maybe they said that so I won't harrass them!

AFM - Keep forgetting to say for a girl we like Tessa Celine and a boy Sebastien.

Kimika - you will need to focus on the biscuit and get the background blurred (low aperture number). Make sure you've got a nice background, maybe use nice dishcloths in the back and a nice textured plate or tile or something to put the biscuit on. You will have to make use of natural light if you don't have flashes, so try close to a window with no shadows falling onto your subjects. Hope this helps.

Eeeuw MistyMom - good luck for tonight. I won't be able to manage. I'm in bed like 19h30 each night! Fake a migraine, excuse yourself and go to bed! Yip we don't be making a baby room as I know we won't use it. Both my kids slept in our room. Just easier with the feeding etc. for us.

Our baby's name is Kelly (but now DH also likes Grace). Not sure of a boy yet, but we both sort of agree on Kyle. I also now like the name Ruben or maybe Blake.
