Evening ladies.

How are you all doing today? I am finished! Had to babysit a donor from JHB today so basically left home at 7 - with Em cause I couldn't get a sitter - and take her to her appointments, and then back to airport - got home at 6. My legs are killing me from sitting in traffic - I never do, so am not used to it.

Sorry for not many personals, hope I don't upset anyone by missing you out, cause I can't really remember the last 3 pages.

Meags your scans look fantastic! Sorry DH wasn't too eager, I really hope he warms up to the idea soon!

I'm going for my downs bloods next week - my Dr say best if at 10 weeks for bloods and then 12 weeks for scans etc.

Sorry for all the crazy hormones and illnesses that are going around :( Soon I'm sure we'll all be past that and haappy and glowing.

We had friends round for supper last night (which I only remembered around 4pm..) was nice, and we ask the couple that if all goes well they would be godparents to the blob. They are both so happy, it was so sweet :)

Regarding names - we have settled!
Girl: Kate Elizabeth Walsh
Boy: Samuel Matthew Walsh

Oh and I got a preggy pillow from Girly yesterday, BLISS!! Had such a wonderful night sleep with it.
DH is such an angel - when Em wakes up at around 1 / 2 - then he goes and climbs into bed with her so I can have a good night sleep :)

Kimika, you must send me a pricelist of sorts for your baking stuff and I'll forward on to all my JHB friends. Also, you must start a page for it on facebook - I have a friend so specialises in social media marketing - I can always ask her to help market your baking as a favour to me :)

Misty you must be so excited for tomorrow! can't wait to hear how it goes!

I've bought some tiny things for the baby - dummies, bottle warmer and yesterday nipple sheilds. At the end of the month we'll do the pram. and then one big thing a month afterwards, along with nappies. I know people will buy for us, but I really don't want to rely on the idea that others will buy. if I have all I need come the birth, I'll just ask for contributions towards the birth.

Anyways, long boring post - sorry ladies, but I've not been able to talk to ANYONE today really, so just off loading and focusing on some happy thoughts :)

Mommy-jess - I'm going to Genesis as well. If you would like to get an appointment with a gynae there, you will need to call now. I called when I was 4 / 5 weeks and the first available appointment was for 6 October (I will be 17 weeks then). I'm seeing Veronica and Marilyn there (midwives). You will need to start seeing them from 12 weeks. You can also call Maryka there for your scans. She charges R200 and you get lots of pics and a DVD. She's there on Saturdays as well (so are the midwives).

mommy jess I am a midwife so that's what I'll be doing at Genesis :) yip, that is the water birthing place and you should really consider delivering there!
just bear in mind they only have 6 gynaes that work for them and they are very much backed up so you'll need to see them for your 20 weeks scan at the least and then follow up scans from there.
you will also need to choose a midwife and do your visits with her from 16 weeks.

mistymom, i have melted cheese on toast for breakfast most mornings :p it's so yummy!!!
