Tazzy, Im so happy you could hear the heartbeat :) My hubby got a fright when she showed us the yolk sack and didnt immediately say what it was, hubby thought it was another baby :)

And the eating plan is going well.. Im still hungry all the time (so nothing new) but now I try just drink water then. I did ask her to cut all funny snacks now so that I only get in what my body and baby needs.. she will revise and add more after 2wks. My tummy is sooo huge and bloated and fat :(

Lucy, welcome!!! I couldnt help myself  I just had had HAD to add your date :)

Then about the Zambia.. its a hard one :( We decided to take the overly cautios route to stay away from all malaria areas until our babies are at least 2yrs old. Its such a hard decision as we love the lowveld and Kruger so much! Weve already twice stopped just before booking a trip there. Some people say were stupid to be so parenoid but Im just too scared! On the other hand it is still cold and there hasnt been any rain and if you do take precautions then the risk is prob small. Is it a very important trip or would you be able to cancel it?

Joli, where are you ??

AFM: Im *sigh* constipated  Seems like my symptoms are giving each other a turn to come pester me..

Tazzy - No I have not told family and want to wait until 10 weeks!! I have only told one friend who had her 3rd round of IVF today to get her spirits up and encourage her to get her BFP. We are planning on being preggie together. I so hope it works for her. (been trying for 7 years!!)
How is your cyst?

Lucy - I promise I'll scan it tomorrow and upload. :P Too lazy now, and it would require me getting my bum off the couch.

How you feeling? have you shared your news with family yet?

Sue - You are fantastic and sensible. Thanks! I have PM you back (twice) as I managed to delete your message.

Cath - I promised myself if I got preggie I wouldn't complain and find a way to deal with it. So far so good .... but it is VERY early days, hee hee.

Tazzy - are you going to share that pic? :P

Lucy - dr's normally say that it is dangerous going into a malaria area because if you contract it, it will be fatal to your baby. However, there are hundreds of preggie woman who safely live in malaria areas by just following alternative routes. I normally do the following:
1. You can get a body wash and shampoo with mosquito repellent, so wash with that before the sun sets.
3. You get wrist bands, wear those constantly and change them every 3 days.
4. Get yourself some tabbard (these mozzies laugh at anything else) lotion & spray and make sure you are covered from top to toe in that ALL THE TIME. When we were in mozam last, they where biting us through our clothes, so make sure you put everywhere expect your vjayjay lol
5. Take with mozzie repellent candles, like citronella and burn in your room from before sunset till it warms up properly, so say about 10am
6. Most importantly, sleep under a mozzie net as the females (who carry the malaria virus) only bite you during the night and you cant hear them coming because the females dont make that buzzing sound.
You could prob get most of these from a cape union mart, or outdoor shop or possibly sport shop like sportsmens warehouse. If they dont have, they would be able to refer you.
I will pm you my number if you need more help!
ps- my first mc was due to being on malaria profilax (we weren't trying and I didnt know if was preggie) and as a result I have never been on since!

SORRY FOR THE LONG POST GIRLS!

Oh Lucy! I am so thrilled for you!!! Take it easy now - no idea re malaria but I think you know that the least possible risk in any way whatsoever is the best route...however having said that I went on a business trip at 4 weeks and it was 40 degrees in Switzerland and Brussles, long flight, delays, etc etc and I was fine and we saw baba's heartbeat last Fri! I think it's in God's hands anyway, so take care, be careful and leave the rest up to Him. You make me jealous enjoying your nausea LOL it's killing me! :)
